No. Being immortal would suck. Oh sure, at first its pretty cool. Until everyone you know dies. But that's alright, you can make new friends and lovers. Oh wait. They died too. Eventually your perception of time will warp, and you won't be able to interact with other people, because their lifespan would seem like the blink of an eye to you. You would be bored out of your mind as the centuries rolled by. Eventually, the sun will explode, destroying the earth. Then you'll get to float through space for the rest of eternity. Oh joy.

No I would not. I would want to live a life, grow old, and eventually die with my friends. You would go through extreme mental issues if you were immortal, everyone would die, slowly, but surely. Life would be pointless, everything must have an end, but without one, what is the point in starting something? Yet if you live a normal life hanging out with friends, doing all your favourite things until your final days, then your boredom will stop you won't worry nor will you see all your friends die off. Immortality would have a bad side effect of extreme boredom. It would seem useless, making friends every single decade, just to see them leave you during the next fifty years or so. But would you age? If you did age you would just be a hopeless pile of skin that did nothing for anyone or anything, but if you didn't age would have to make friends every few years depending on your 'immortallity' age.

Living with your family watching them grow, die, age but then, your by yourself with no one else to help you no more family, no more friends and ten times the boredom. One of the only pluses would be the evolution of the world, and you have a front row seat. Would be good? What is the world was falling into doom? What if it turned into a war raged planet? Nothing left except you, sitting there, by yourself. No one else. One day the sun will explode, then you are sure to be alone. And at that stage you would go unconcious in space, floating around litterally asleep, untill you land near a oxygen populated world, and even then you may not wake up ever. Then it would just be a floating chariot of dreams, a never ending story. Something without an end. Something pointless.

Wouldn't you rather live a full life?

Well I guess it is up to the individual.

That was all that needed to be said. I would never want to become immortal.

Then, yes, but still no. Forever seems like such a long time. Change it to 300-1000 years and I would say yes.

As the film Stardust has proven, this is only worth it if you have someone to spend it with, or if you're a Bleach Shinigami.

I would have Haruhi's powers. I could change the universe so that someone could spend it with me.
