This one is about Obsidian Relics - a set of DARK-related Equip Spell Cards, which can be removed from play from your field or Graveyard to summon a powerful monster. Obsidian Citadel - Fortified StrongholdField Spell CardAs long as this card is on the field, you can have 2 more cards in your Spell & Trap Card Zone. Each time when an "Obsidian Relic" card is played, place 1 Obsidian Counter on this card. You can remove 3 Obsidian Counters from this card to add 1 Level 4 or lower "Obsidian" monster from your Deck to your hand or to negate the effect of a Spell, Trap or Monster Card which would target a monster equipped with an "Obsidian Relic" card. Obsidian Relic - Helm of DarknessEquip Spell CardEquip this card only to a DARK monster. Increase the Level of the equipped monster by 2. The equipped monster is unaffected by the effects of monsters whose Level is half or lower than the Level of the equipped monster. Obsidian Relic - Armor of the DamnedEquip Spell CardEquip this card only to a DARK monster. Increase the DEF of the equipped monster by 800. Once per turn, you can select 1 monster your opponent controls. Negate the effects of the selected monster and decrease its ATK and DEF by 400. Obsidian Relic - Blade of the Cursed SoulEquip Spell CardEquip this card only to a DARK monster. Increase the ATK of the equipped monster by 600. Each time the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle, inflict 400 damage to your opponent. Obsidian Relic - Shield of NightmaresEquip Spell CardEquip this card only to a DARK monster. Increase the DEF of the equipped monster by 600. Once per turn, you can negate an attack which would target the equipped monster and switch the attacking monster to Defense Position. Obsidian Relic - Corrupted HeartEquip Spell CardEquip this card only to a DARK monster. The equipped monster is also treated as Fiend-Type. Each time when your opponent discards a card from his/her hand, increase your Life Points by 500. Each time when you draw a card outside your Draw Phase, inflict 500 damage to your opponent. Obsidian Relic - Pitch Black TalismanEquip this card only to a DARK monster. If this card is equipped to a Spellcaster-Type monster, it is unaffected by the effects of Spell Cards, otherwise, it is unaffected by the effects of Spellcaster-Type monsters your opponent controls. When this card leaves the field, you can pay 500 Life Points to add 1 Level 4 or lower DARK Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. Obsidian Relic - Shadow GemstoneEquip this card only to a DARK monster. If this card is equipped to a Warrior-Type monster, it is unaffected by the effects of Trap Cards, otherwise, it is unaffected by the effects of Warrior-Type monsters your opponent controls. When this card leaves the field, you can pay 500 Life Points to add 1 Level 4 or lower DARK Warrior-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. Obsidian Relic - Sorrowful EyeEquip this card only to a DARK monster. During your Draw Phase, downgrade all face-up monsters your opponent controls by 1 Level. If the Level of a monster is half or lower than its original Level, negate its effects and it cannot be used as a Tribute for a Tribute Summon. If the Level of a monster becomes 0, remove it from play. Obsidian Relic - Tome of Forbidden RestrictionEquip this card only to a DARK monster. As long as this card is on the field, your opponent can have 1 less card in his/her Monster Card Zone and in his/her Spell & Trap Card Zone. Obsidian Relic - Ring of Forgotten MemoriesEquip this card only to a DARK monster. Each time the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle, add the bottom card of the Graveyard of your opponent to your Graveyard. Each time the equipped monster inflicts Direct Damage, add the bottom card of the Deck of your opponent to your Graveyard. Obsidian Relic - Black Rose CrossEquip this card only to a DARK monster. Increase the ATK and DEF of the equipped monster by 800 when battling a monster of the same Type. If the equipped monster is destroyed by battle with a monster of the same Type, discard randomly 1 card from the hand of your opponent. Obsidian Relic - Moon Cloak of EnchantmentsEquip this card only to a DARK monster. The effects of the equipped monster cannot be negated. When the equipped monster leaves the field, you can equip this card to an "Obsidian" monster you control. Obsidian Relic - Twisted PocketwatchEquip this card only to a DARK monster. During your End Phase, roll a die and add 2 to the result of the roll. If the result of the roll is the same or lower than the amount of cards in the hand of your opponent, your opponent skips his/her next Draw Phase. Obsidian Obstacle - Life Draining OrbTrap CardActivate the effect of this card if you control an "Obsidian Citadel - Fortified Stronghold" and the Life Points of your opponents would be increased by a card effect. Negate the effect, inflict the same amount of damage instead and remove from play the top 2 cards of the Deck of your opponent. Obsidian Obstacle - Spiked Trap HoleTrap CardActivate the effect of this card if you control an "Obsidian Citadel - Fortified Stronghold" and your opponent Normal, Flip or Special Summons a monster. Destroy the Summoned monster and inflict damage equal to the Level of the destroyed monster x 100. Obsidian Obstacle - Destingetrator RayTrap CardActivate the effect of this card if you control an "Obsidian Citadel - Fortified Stronghold". Remove from play all cards in the same column as this card. Obsidian Obstacle - Relic BurstTrap CardActivate the effect of this card if you control an "Obsidian Citadel - Fortified Stronghold". Inflict 200 damage for each "Obsidian Relic" card in your Graveyard. If the Effect Damage is 1600 or higher, discard randomly 1 card from the hand of your opponent. Obsidian Obstacle - Soul ExchangerTrap CardActivate the effect of this card if you control an "Obsidian Citadel - Fortified Stronghold". Pay 800 Life Points to Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Obsidian" monster from your Graveyard. Obsidian Obstacle - Reanimated StatuesTrap CardActivate the effect of this card if you control an "Obsidian Citadel - Fortified Stronghold" and a monster your opponent controls declares an attack. Special Summon "Statue Tokens" (Rock-Type/DARK/Level 2/ATK 500/DEF 1500) in face-up Defense Position in an amount up to half of the Level of the attacking monster. The "Statue Tokens" cannot be used for a Tribute or Synchro Summon. Obsidian Fragment - Twilight Crystal Maiden1* / DARK / Spellcaster-EffectATK: 0 || DEF: 800When this monster is flipped face-up, decrease the ATK of face-up monsters your opponent controls by 300. When this monster leaves the field, you can select 1 "Obsidian Relic" card from your Deck and add it to your Graveyard. Obsidian Spy - Nightstalker Thief1* / DARK / Warrior-EffectATK: 200 || DEF: 400If your opponent controls no monsters when this monster is Summoned, add the top card of the Deck of your opponent to your hand. (This effect cannot be used during your first turn.) If this monster leaves the field with an "Obsidian Relic" card equipped to it, you can add 1 "Obsidian Spy - Nightstalker Thief" from your Deck to your hand. Obsidian Trickmaster - Dungeon Trapper2* / DARK / Warrior-EffectATK: 600 || DEF: 1500Each time when the effect of an "Obsidian Obstacle" card is activated, place 1 Trap Counter on this card. You can remove 3 Trap Counters from this card to add 1 "Obsidian Obstacle" card from your Graveyard to your hand. If this monster is destroyed by battle, you can pay 1000 Life Points to remove from play 1 Trap Card from the Deck of your opponent. Obsidian Necromancer - Grave Raider2* / DARK / Spellcaster-EffectATK: 800 || DEF: 100When this monster is Summoned, you can add cards from the Graveyard of your opponent to your Graveyard up to the amount of "Obsidian Relic" cards in your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 card from the Graveyard of both players. Obsidian Researcher - Twisted Alchemist3* / DARK / Spellcaster-EffectATK: 1200 || DEF: 900If you control 3 or more "Obsidian Relic" cards when this monster is Summoned, draw 1 card. Each time when the effect of an "Obsidian Relic" card is activated, increase your Life Points by 400. Obsidian Servant - Forgotten Relic Protector3* / DARK / Warrior-EffectATK: 1400 || DEF: 900FLIP: Add 1 "Obsidian Relic" card from your Deck to your hand. Obsidian Lady - Charming Dark Angel3* / DARK / Fairy-EffectATK: 400 || DEF: 2100When this monster is attacked, the attacking monster cannot attack , use effects and cannot be used for a Tribute or Synchro Summon during the next turn of your opponent. When this monster is destroyed by battle, you can send 1 "Obsidian Relic" card you control to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Obsidian Lady - Charming Dark Angel" in face-up Defense Position from your hand or Deck. Obsidian Slicer - Chrono Assassin4* / DARK / Warrior-EffectATK: 1600 || DEF: 1800When this monster is Summoned, you can select 1 Level 5 or lower "Obsidian" monster you control. The selected monster can attack twice in the same Battle Phase until your next Standby Phase. If this monster is destroyed by battle, skip the next Battle Phase of your opponent. Obsidian Soldier - Blood Knight4* / DARK / Warrior-EffectATK: 2000 || DEF: 1500This monster cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This monster cannot be Special Summoned except if you control a monster equipped with an "Obsidian Relic" card. Obsidian Possessed - Claw-Armed Guard4* / DARK / Fiend-EffectATK: 1700 || DEF: 1300When this monster is destroyed by battle, you can equip this card to an "Obsidian" monster you control. The equipped monster is also treated as Fiend-Type. Increase the ATK of the equipped monster by 500. Obsidian Twins - Mirror Maidens5* / DARK / Spellcaster-EffectATK: 1700 || DEF: 1000When this monster is Summoned, Special Summon 1 "Twin Token" (Spellcaster-Type/DARK/Level 5/ATK 1700/DEF 1000). "Twin Tokens" cannot be used for a Tribute Summon. As long as you control a "Twin Token", this card is unaffected by the effects of Spell Cards. As long as this card is on the field, "Twin Tokens" you control are unaffected by the effects of Trap Cards. Once per turn, you can discard 1 "Obsidian Relic" card from hand to Special Summon 1 "Twin Token". Obsidian Hybrid - Armored Scorpion Lady5* / DARK / Insect-EffectATK: 2000 || DEF: 2500If this card is equipped with an "Obsidian Relic" card, switch the original ATK and DEF of this card. This monster cannot be destroyed by battle by a Level 6 or lower monster. Obsidian Master - Nightkeeper Lord of the Citadel5* / DARK / Warrior-EffectATK: 2100 || DEF: 2300You can discard this card from your hand to add 1 "Obsidian Citadel - Fortified Stronghold" from your Deck to your hand. If you control an "Obsidian Citadel - Fortified Stronghold", this monster can be Summoned without a Tribute. Increase the ATK and DEF of this card by 300 for each "Obsidian Relic" card equipped to this monster. When this monster is destroyed, you can add 1 "Obsidian Avenger - Demon Golem" from your Deck to your hand. Obsidian Being - Unstable Energy Elemental6* / DARK / Thunder-EffectATK: 2200 || DEF: 0This monster cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This monster cannot be Special Summoned except if you have 2 "Obsidian Relic" cards in your Graveyard. During your End Phase, roll a dice. If you rolled 1 or 2, remove this card from play. If you rolled 5 or 6, remove from play 1 card your opponent controls. Obsidian Wanderer - Champion Edge6* / DARK / Fiend-EffectATK: 2300 || DEF: 700If this monster destroys a monster by battle, it can attack once again. If your Life Points are half of lower than the Life Points of your opponent, the original ATK of this card becomes 2800. Obsidian Avenger - Demon Golem9* / DARK / Rock-EffectATK: 2750 || DEF: 3150This monster cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This monster cannot be Special Summoned except if you have 5 different "Obsidian Relic" cards in your Graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned, select up to 3 "Obsidian Relic" Equip Spell Cards in your Graveyard and equip them to this card. This card is also treated as Fiend-Type. Each time when this monster destroys a monster by battle, inflict 500 damage to your opponent. Once per turn when this monster is targeted by a Spell or Trap Card, you can remove from play 2 DARK monsters from your Graveyard to negate the effect of the Spell or Trap Card and destroy it. When this monster is destroyed, shuffle back all "Obsidian Relic" cards from your Graveyard to your Deck. Link to comment

A lot of monster removal now is done by other monsters (DAD, JD, Brio) so his negation effect isn't perfectly effective. Armor of the Damned might be usable, with its once/turn effect negation, but the rest seem fairly underpowered. Nice set, nice idea, just a little too weak (making up for your last set? =P)Apart from being weak, looks like fine OCG, love the idea and I like that you're working on equips, which are generally ignored, 6/10 Link to comment

Maybe I'll add some Obsidian Relics and related cards if I get some ideas ^^ And yes, I noticed that outside United We Stand, Mage Power and maybe Axe of Despair, Equip Spell Cards are generally not used. I wanted to change it - unsuccessfully. But oh well, it's not that I can't add some more support for them, right? Link to comment

But actually, you are right, I'll change it somehow.For the first effect of Obsidian Citadel - yes, I meant exactly what you meant, I just couldn't know how the word it properly. But yes, it's definitely needed considering the high amount of Spell and Trap Cards used. And the opposite applies for Tome of Forbidden Restriction.As for the Obsidian Obstacle, I was like I need some Trap Cards for a full set, and it goes well with the Citdael (and makes sense, actually). And yes, some of them are inspired by various traps in games. ^^'Actually I somewhat imagined these cards as the antithesis of another Equip Spell/Continuous Trap based concept I had earlier (Soul Runes/Soul Marks/Soul Mages). But yes, I'm glad you like it. And curiously, when I mentioned the concept to a friend of mine, he immediately mentioned Power Tool Dragon (but I feel Dragons a bit overused ^^').EDIT: I toned down Chrono Assassin. Link to comment

I really never understood why like 50-75% of made cards are some sort of Dragons (or Fiends). They are cool, but they not supposed to appear in that high amount.And yes, I'm happy I could correct Chrono. :)Do you think I should add more cards to the set? Link to comment

And for the other part - sorry, but when I have ideas, I can't do anything but to write them down. And as I don't have fitting pictures for the set, I can't help on the walls of written cards part. If I would have an amount of pictures, I'd likely to make them, but I don't. ^^' And I believe that an Archetype should be big enough and work together well to be a proper Archetype. Link to comment
