I might open it tonight if i can finish the set-up for it. Otherwise, as soon as I can.

Just PM me when you get your roleplay up.

I'll be sending a Reminder PM to every member.

excellent' date=' because my time differs to yours obviously, so it might be difficult for me to work.

Don't worry, the roleplay will be slow paced, it'll be one of the rules. at most you should only miss about 1/2-1 page of posts.

So how long do the posts have to be?

I would think we would be following the RP Rules Advance Clause.

Yes' date=' at least 4-5 lines minimum.

good, i have dealt with RP's that get 7 new pages, with made me wonder if i should even bother

Those are horrid and spam filled. You won't have to worry about that.

OOC posts will not be allowed in any of our Roleplays. If you have something out of context to say either send it to the person your telling by PM, or post in this thread using the special 'Out Of Context Post Format' I'll put this template in the first post:

Insert Here The Name Of The Roleplay

Insert here the OOC you would like to get across

For the sake of arguement, I think you should add that to the first post as it is kind of important. I'm sure some people won't go looking through pages to find every small detail under discussion.

And I think the elimination of OoC posts are a good thing for the overall RP since it will leave only the actual "IC RP" posts, thus it will not be, as you say, "spam filled."

I saw. So then, I have read some other lessons (Specifically numbers 1 and 6).

I have too say... I fluctuate between both styles. I am, for the most part, a Fluffer. I enjoy details. Details are lovely. Details are the world. So yes, I have my share of adjectives to share. But sometimes I do find myself to be a Minimalist as well. But, I do find commonground and use elements from both from time to time.

My only comment on Lesson 6 would be that Autonomy is an issue. I find even a good RP sometimes might become uninteresting if the plot depends on a certain person to move it along and that person is not online very much. I think that practice in that regard, where members should learn to avoid dependency situations, is needed.

I have decided to make 'Mutant Chronicles' the First Official Roleplay for this group. Also, this roleplay will also work as the trial roleplay; I decided to combine them.

Regarding Autonomy, I was thinking when holding Character Applications, a scale can be set up on the level of impact said members character will have on the RP as a whole. That way if they believe they won't be able to add many posts to the rp, they supply a lower level of character, and are expected to add less to the plots development.

Okay' date=' I won't be able to RP this weekend ( going to my farm D: ).

Still, I've read the lessons and I'm waiting as a good boy for a weekdays RP ( I barely stay in the city on weekends D: ).

It's okay, I think the roleplay will go into next week anyways.

To best explain the meaning of Hooks and Entry Points, it's best if I explain what Entry Points are first a Hook only purpose is to set open an Entry Point.

Entry Points - Basically, sometimes it's hard for players to get into a Roleplay properly when they aren't given the chance in the story, or are having a difficult time entering the roleplay because events in the story don't exactly call for it. What an Entry Point is, is a point in the story that leads a player to enter the roleplay.

Hook - A hook is best explained as an event which would open up the grounds to introduce new characters.

My understanding of this lesson is that there are certain points in an RP that has already started that would be perfect for new players/characters to enter without much problems.

That's the general idea, though a Hook is usually created by a player, to directly introduce a new character or supply an opening for a new character.
Example]

Look at this description,

The young girl went down the steep narrow tunnel in search of her puppy

The user who wrote that, can then add more to make an opening to allow another character to be introduced.

The young girl was missing for over four hours, which made her mother and father very worried. This prompted them to alert the authorities.

There, a possible 3 characters could be introduced. That is pretty much the gist of it.

I finally decided to get off my ass and join the Organization I was invited to.

Name: Zaraki Kenpachi (Alias); Dorian Brown (Real Name)

Age & Gender: 17, Male

Biography: 6"6 African American male, residing in Kenner, Louisiana. I joined Yu-Gi-Oh Card Maker after my lvoe for the card game began to grow. Eventually, I found myself wanting to write, constantly for hours on end. I was always told I have a great imagination, so I try to put that to work as best I can in the Role-Playing section.

RolePlaying History: I've worked in various role-plays, but my larger contributions go towards:

The Great War! and most Organization XIII role-plays via YCM.

Room For Improvement: I find that I tend to reiterate certain lines a number of times, causing my lack of luster and excitement. I want to break that habit, and better myself.

<.< Yes, I am joining/enter/etc.

Name: Enrise

Age & Gender: I'm Male, but I don't see why I should put my age.

Biography:

As a RPer, of course I love RP's. I hang out mainly at the RP section of this Forum, while playing MMORPG's, while waiting for responses on RP's. However, sometimes I can get carried away with either of them, and forget the other until it's like, too late.

RolePlaying History: When I first joined, I was, "decent" enough, but back then, I wasn't aware of some of the rules of RPing (Godmod). the only Godmod I ever did was like, once and it was due to me being able to see what others are doing (At the time, I was RPing with Supreme, and Roxas, but I'm sure that neither of them remember). However, since I was aware of the Godmod rule, I have increase my Role Playing gradually, and eventually, I received a reward as best RPer in February.

Room For Improvement: I kind of slipped during RP, like making less detailed posts sometimes, and sometimes I make, more detailed posts. It's kinda back and forth/up and down kind of situation.
