Roleplaying Done Right is a group dedicated to increase the level and skill of current Roleplayers here on this site. I understand the roleplay section at this board to be rather, as others put it, 'Spam Filled'. My only goal here is to try and increase the skill level of the many roleplayers here on this bored.

A lot of you probably don't know me yet, but i'm a new member known as .Traveler, and I'm starting this group to increase, well pretty much my own expereince roleplaying at this site, and maybe some other members as well. This group has multiple goals in mind such as Helping Aiding and Teaching Members How To Roleplay in a more Efficient Manner, Creating Running and Organizing successful Roleplays, and Developing your Skills in categories such as Descriptions Plots and Characters Development.

Since this is a club and not just an informational center to learn how to roleplay better, i'll make a ranking system and probably a grouping system here.
Leadership & Control of This Project]

Name: .Traveler

Age & Gender: Seventeen / Male

Biography: I'm a new member here at this bored who tends to look around the MM, GD, and now Roleplay sections of this bored. My only ambition right now is to reform the roleplaying section to make it a more enjoyable place for members and not a spamhole.

RolePlaying History: I have a really good understanding of what makes a roleplay 'good' in terms of plot, characters, story development, and other attributes. I understand how to organize a roleplay beforehand, including making a draft of events before beginning the roleplay. I understand basic RP Terminology. I understand the differences between Godmodding and Meta Gaming, the Hooks and Entry Points System, and other useful infromation. I've joined my share of well organized roleplays before and have had quite a lot of fun before.

Room For Improvement: Interest Capacity; I need to work on keeping up and interested in the roleplays I create and Join.
Game Masters]
Character Profile - Daimyo Niyabari]

Name: Daimyo Niyabari / Davok / Torchman / DiZ (Niyabari or Davok will suffice)

Age & Gender: Male

Biography: The funny thing is, I join this forum specifically in order to join a Role Play, made by the user Supreme Gamemaster Yddisac (now just called simply Supreme Gamemaster) called Super Smash Bros. Legacy. It was at this point that I began to expand to other sections slowly but surely off of the Role Playing section. I was kind of a minimalist back then, and I didn't really give much to detail at the time. Until, (a couple months ago) I joined a Redwall role playing forum, under the alias of Darkpatch and saw in amazement a bunch of highly detailed posts and realized that compared to that, my posts were n00bish. So, I inserted more detail in my posts, maximized on character development and such. Unfortunately, I faded into inactivity on the site as I usually do with role playing forums. As such, I just lurked on the role playing section for a while, with much of the role plays I create fading into inactivity (half of them have me to blame). Eventually, I decided to go into the career of GMing and controlling the enviroment rather than a character, and I have become more and more active in the RPs I host.

RolePlaying History: I originally began as a minimalist going through RPs and such (hosting my own RPs, along with many other alongside Supreme Gamemaster Yddisac) and eventually my posts grew in detail and "fluff". Eventually, my posts began containing too much "fluff", causing me to be exhausted from the detailed. But then I began again, this time minimizing the amount of fluff and description, but not lowering it down to extremely short posts. I have great knowledge and liking of character development and a paranormal loving of villains and their motives, and also find it easier to play in their separate roles and how they would react to different scenarios.

Room For Improvement: I need assistance on actually sticking with an RP and not abandoning, as I get really tired after a while. But, I am slowly but surely improving on this fault. Of course, there's probably more, but not that I can think of at the top of my head.
Character Profile - Roxas]

Name: Cecil Harvey/Roxas

Age & Gender: 15, Male

Biography: When I joined this site, I never had the intention of becoming a Roleplayer at all. After I participated in a Digimon, I slowly became an experienced Roleplayer. I have attempted to educate a few members with the Fool's Game - School of Roleplay, but I think this club will serve that purpose on a more advanced scale. I will not close my game though.

RolePlaying History: As I said before, I began with a Digimon Roleplay. However, very few Roleplays that I've participated in have actually reached full conclusions. Primary examples are the Digimon RP I mentioned and the first five parts of Organization XIII's Roleplay series. I have also joined a Roleplay site named Setsuwa Majikku, but it is currently undergoing maintenance.

Room For Improvement: On this site? I'm certain I don't need much improvement, but I'd like to express variety with my characters.
Character Profile - Hunter]

Name: Hunter

Age & Gender: 15;Male

Biography: I'm a 15 year old who has no life and spends his extra time on the internet. I live in Maryland in the U.S. And i'm a mod on this site. If you spam, I can warn you. ;D

RolePlaying History: Not much officially. But I am always coming up with creative ideas and tend to have an overactive imagination. I have roleplays in my head. I've done a smidge of Meti's Immortal Chronicles, til' I lost interest. I usually give up on roleplays due to noobs godmodding and/or inactivity.

Room For Improvement: Become more active in the RP section and become a better roleplayer.
Character Profile - BrokenHeart15]

Name: BrokenHeart15

Age & Gender: M, 16

Biography: Originally the only reason I joined this site was so I could catalogue my extensive custom card collection, however, I am a fan of RP's and could not shy away from it. I am a usual on certain RP's or those that take my fancy, and try to make successful RPs, but they fall through because of lack of interest.

RolePlaying History: I think my record is around 30, I'm not exactly positive myself. I treat RP like writing really, I try to give myself depth, energy and a little touch of humour. I stick with RPs until I see and know thye are dead, which is a shame as they're so fun. My only annioyance is when Rps advance too much when I can't get on.

Room For Improvement: Making RPs
Character Profile - Lucifer]

Name: Enrise

Age & Gender: I'm Male, but I don't see why I should put my age.

Biography:

As a RPer, of course I love RP's. I hang out mainly at the RP section of this Forum, while playing MMORPG's, while waiting for responses on RP's. However, sometimes I can get carried away with either of them, and forget the other until it's like, too late.

RolePlaying History: When I first joined, I was, "decent" enough, but back then, I wasn't aware of some of the rules of RPing (Godmod). the only Godmod I ever did was like, once and it was due to me being able to see what others are doing (At the time, I was RPing with Supreme, and Roxas, but I'm sure that neither of them remember). However, since I was aware of the Godmod rule, I have increase my Role Playing gradually, and eventually, I received a reward as best RPer in February.

Room For Improvement: I kind of slipped during RP, like making less detailed posts sometimes, and sometimes I make, more detailed posts. It's kinda back and forth/up and down kind of situation.
Character Profile - Frlf]

Name: Frlf / Ramon

Age & Gender: Fourteen / Male

Biography: TBA

RolePlaying History: Rped some times, nothing too professional, but I don't usually like the rps on here :/

Room For Improvement: Details & Dialogue
Character Profile - .Mirage.]

Name: .Mirage.

Age & Gender: Male, 15

Biography: Well I first came to this site after one of my friends showed me this. I never intentionally wanted to be an RPer, but my first RP was fun so I got hooked. One thing I do on this site besides RPing is card maker >_> like everyone else on this site.

RolePlaying History: Well I had several RPs, none of them actually reached to the conclusion let alone the climax because it gets inactive. I was like every other nooby RPer on this site starting with simple posts. Got better, but still need to work on it.

Room For Improvement: Needs to keep to a single idea with a character, it gets hard if you are in several RPs. So trying to say with only a few, also sometimes I need to add more detail, but working on it.
Character Profile - Nightmare Zarkus]

Name: Nightmare Zarkus (Just call me Zarkus)

Age & Gender: 16, Male

Biography: Hai, Im Zarkus (real name: Jesse). Im 16, live in Maryland. I came to this site on a whim a year and a half ago (bask in the glory of my low user ID), and left for a while for no good reason. Im back now. Originally was here just to make cards, but I got bored with that and started RPing.

RolePlaying History: Been RPing for 4 years. Been getting better progressively.

Room For Improvement: Advancing the plot when there's nothing to work with =/
Character Profile - Ayasato-chan]

Name: Aya

Age & Gender: 16, Female

Biography: I don't necessarily feel comfortable stating things about myself on the internet, but I suppose I could give you some idea. I am a normal teenage girl, with a variety of interests. On my scale, learning Japanese (language and culture) is my personal hobby, along with watching several Japanese shows (Such as Super Sentai, or any sort of anime.) I focus alot on my academics, however, I always find time in my schedule to fulfill my thrist for an RP. Everything else in my life... well, it is personal, so I'll "plead the fifth" and keep silent about it for now.

RolePlaying History: Hmm, this will be quite a large section. I've been an active roleplayer since I was 11, joining my first Pokemon roleplay. Since then, I've been in several other role-plays, most recent of which could be seen on this site. I have experience in all forms of role-play. This of course includes Action, Adventure, Drama, and many of the other genres. I love to roleplay, therefore I sometimes try to find one that is of interest to me, which is easy to do. I for one love RPs that are well-thought out and very well organized.

Room For Improvement: Honestly, there is always room for improvement, but for the moment, I believe I don't think I need to work on my RPing skills, unless someone would care to point out a flaw?
Character Profile - Kyub]

Name: Daniel/BlueKyubbi/Kyub.

Age & Gender: 12, Male.

Biography: Um. I'm 12, I'm British and I have no self-confidence. Are we done? o.o Meh, came to the site January 2008, I think, joined an RP late June, had fun, realised I was getting better and here we are.

RolePlaying History: Honestly, not much. I can't remember exactly what I've roleplayed in, but not many have finished.

Room For Improvement: I need to increase the size of my RPing posts and actually stick to the RPs I join. And join more. T-T
Character Profile - haris]

RolePlaying History: A few posts here and there but not really worth noting.

Biography

Extreme RPer, Who HATES Script Speech! I RP Every Day Or So(Or When I Have Free Time[Other Than Hard-core Gaming]) I Have Served Some Juvi Time(Mostly Cuz Then REALLY P1ssed Me Off, And Some Self-Defence[i Punch Hard]) So Try Not To Annoy Me Too Much, Seeing As I Have A Short Temper

Role-Playing History

I Am I Huge RP Fan, I Usually Join RP's With Good Plots, And Have Things That I Already Know Of. I Usually Change Characters Every 2-4 Weeks(Usually I Stick With The Same One Through Out the Whole RP) Of Being In An RP.
Character Profile - Force_Flex]

Name: Force_Flex/John/J-hon

Age & Gender: 13/male

Biography: I have been told I'm quite annoying at school. I don't usually let what people tell me bother me, but like everyone, I have a weak spot (which I will not reveal). I am a up-beat kid. I get good grades, and play soccer and Track and field. I have minor asthma and it usually only effects me in wet, damp, weather. i don't have a lot of friends, but the ones I have a great friends and I'm lucky to have them. I'm always open to new friends, but if your mean to me, I'm mean to you. For some reason, I'm a lot calmer and more mature online... I also have ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder).

RolePlaying History: I have a little bit of experience in Roleplaying. I've only been active in 2. The Wolves Pack RP and the Dragoncave RP. I usually make detailed posts, but if nothing is really going on, I don't put too much detail in my posts. I don't like it when an RP is "fight fight fight". I like slow times in the RP to give some background to my character, as well as shrouding in more mystery. I really like the style of RP in the Dragoncave Rp. Tefached "The RP 'Leader'" tells you the details of what's going on, then you have to post according to that (much like real life RPing.) I consider myself a decent RPer, but next to most of you guys, I'm a noob at it.

Room For Improvement: I could work on keeping my character bio consistent throughout the RP...

Edit: early on in my RP days, I started using script speech, now I can't break the habit. Could someone help me with that?
Character Profile - Blazinghydra]

Name: Blazinghydra. Call me Blaze.

Age & Gender: Male

Biography: I'm a somewhat new member to the site, though most people seem surprised at how articulate I am despite that. I'm an avid writer, and am considered quite good aside from the occasional typo. I'm currently writing a novel (which is plodding ahead slowly...) and about three Fanfictions (Which are plodding ahead slightly less slowly), all four of which have received positive reviews from those who read them. I'm considered quite thorough, patient, and kind, which I agree with to a certain degree. I despise flaming in all sorts and am under the impression that the best way to help someone is not to yell at them.

RolePlaying History: I've been in several Roleplays since I started here, but I've been RPing for a long while before that on random sites across the net. I feel my writing experience gives me an edge in that respect, as I'm used to coming up with complex plots, ideas, and characters, although I'm personally a bit timid and don't always join RPs that have a required post length, or are already started.

Room For Improvement: In terms of role playing, I feel I need more help in keeping up post length. While my first few posts are always long and detailed, it sometimes becomes difficult to keep up the quality as I go on.
Chracater Profile - Sakuya Izayoi]

Name: Sakuya Izayoi, Marly. Either is acceptable.

Age & Gender: 16, Male.

Biography: I'm not exactly sure where to start. ^^'

I've been a member of this forum for roughly 9 months, since then, I've advanced greatly in terms of Roleplaying, creativity, and the like. I've always been interested in Literature, since I was about 9, when I read 'Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone'. I found it to be extraordinarly intriguing, and continued reading the series. Since then, I've been an avid fan of fiction, and has read a vast majority of other fiction works.

When RolePlaying, my character will generally be a 'support' character. I dislike being the focus of attention.

RolePlaying History: I started roleplaying about a year or so ago, about a day or two after I joined this site. I joined a Kingdom Hearts Rp entitled 'Drive Of Soul', I wasn't very experienced, but I got the jist of it. Looking back, I've always seemed to be a Fluffer, but I didn't really look over what I wrote, making my paragraphs look atrocious. =|

I've been in quite a few Rp's since then, and if I do say so myself, I think I've improved quite alot.

Room For Improvement: Sentence structure. I also need to expand my vocabulary a bit. And I seem to have a slight problem with the whole 'Quality over Quantity' thing too. ^^" Hope I'm not too much trouble.
Character Profile - shadowgate]

Name: Duke(Use it in a lot of Rps.
Character Profile - DemonX]

RolePlaying History: Its all in my bio, I can't remember what Naruto Rp it was and I did not know what do too but now I know everythings.

Room For Improvement: Writing, spelling words and making up new people to use.
Character Profile - King of Games]

Name: Jackson/ King of Games

Age & Gender: 16 yo male

Biography: Just your average teenager with above average marks. I'm on this site a lot, and have been for a long time, even if it doesnt look like that from my post count. Infact, a lot of my posts came from roleplaying.

RolePlaying History: The couple of really good RPs that i was in were the Gifted School RP and After the Struggle. I especially enjoyed rping along with Chaos Remix, Total Obelisk and God Kaze while they were still active members/RPers

Room For Improvement: I suppose getting back into RPing in general, and making my own Rps
Character Profile - Soul Legacy]

Name: Soul Legacy

Age & Gender: 12 & Male

Biography: Im a great fan of RPing, i have done it since i have joined and have made such great friends from it, such as Lucifer and Fenrir.

RolePlaying History: When i first started RPing i played as a boy, but for some reason i began to play a girl, and don't ask why XD. Her name was and is Agas, and shes one of my trademark characters. I know most RP rules and i follow them, but sometimes i acciedently power play, but i try to fix it as soon as i can.

Room For Improvement: Longer and more detailed posts XD
Character Profile - Legendary Tapion]

Name: Legendary Tapion

Age & Gender: Male, fourteen.

Biography: I don't know what to say really, ur... i'm fourteen...?

RolePlaying History: I used to Roleplay like mad, now it's just hovering over the forum sections like a Dead Gaurdna... I might be off in while.

Room For Improvement: Yeah i... Ur, wait i don't.
Character Profile - ƒαļşε Ħộþē]

Name: Codey {Real name} / Midget or Shortstop {Nicknames}

Age & Gender: 12 / Male

Biography: I live in Australia, and Iwas born in Sydney, 6 years later I moved up to the Central Coast. 2 years after that my parents got divorced. I've gotten used to living without a dad but I still hate it. I see my dad every 2nd weekend.

RolePlaying History: I never really knew what a Role Play was until I came to this site.. The first ever RP I joined was the first one I created. It made it to part II and currently has about 642 posts. I also have another RP called Virtuality. That one is still going, has 3 people very active, and has about 400 posts.

Room For Improvement: I need to improve my thinking of what my character should say. I'm always stuck on a post and I can't get the right words out.

Helpful Tips and Tutorials
Tips & Tricks to Help Improve Your Roleplay Experience]
Lesson One - Post Length (Short/Long) Responses]

When it comes to Post Content for roleplayers, you are common to find two types of players. To put it in Technical terms, let's refer to them as Minimalists and Fluffers.

Minimalist - tend to be the common roleplayer in this section; users who post short responses. Sometimes these roleplayers post maybe 1-4 words of content, tend to overuse uneventful adverbs, and cut off as much adjectives as they can. This group of roleplayer tends to display little details, minimal if no story and character development, and their Roleplays usually die. (Note that on this forum, its quite the opposite though maybe change will come soon)

Fluffer - tend to be the more experienced roleplayers on the site whom make long descriptive posts. Although this is the preffered method of posting in a roleplay, sometimes too much 'Fluff' can be a bad thing. Objects can be overhauled by many adjectives, many adjectives and adverbs are supported by more uneeded adverbs, and what is left is an overdetailed submission that has the readers mind jumping all over the place.

Generally, you would like to find a common ground in between the two groups of Roleplaying when it comes to Content.
Lesson Two - Action-Only Based Roleplaying]

Many roleplays start out where all players immediately go into a battle without some sort of background information. Then the rest of the story is pretty much run through action alone, where pretty much no Character Development or explanations to Plot Development can occur. This is where NPC Conversations take place.

NPC Conversations - can best be explained as a scenario where there is no action occuring, but important discussions begin between the main characters of the story. Action alone does not do a RP justice, so these side conversations could help in building on the plot, or showing a change in Character Development. These situations can also be a good timing to introduce a Hook (For more information on Hooks, look at my 'Hooks and Entry Points' Contribution)
Lesson Three - Steps That Should Be Taken Before Creating a Roleplay]

In my opinion, a Roleplay shouldn't be started when you first click that 'New Thread' Button. It is very important to plan out your Roleplay before hand, including mapping out what happens, how things will occur, and the settings of where these events will take place.

Steps Taken Beforehand

 • Step One / Setting a Goal - Obviously the very true first step is to create a basis for a plot. After that is done, you start with this step. What you want to do is set a goal for your Roleplay, like an ending or an outcome. That way, the players know where the story will be going, and the plot doesn't scatter all over the place. The best way to develop a Goal is by creating a list or draft of events, Key Important Events that are a must to move towards the plot. The draft of the events will most likely be thrown out at one point, but at least you now have a Goal to work towards.
 • Step Two / Building Through Actions - After you have a true Goal in mind, you should probably post your plot in a thread and seek out some players for your RP. Once you have a couple, you can begin recreating the actions that occur from the beginning up to the Resolution of the RP. The reason it was good to search for some players first, was to add their characters into the mix of the Actions leading to the resolution.
 • Step Three / Adding Context to Actions - Once you have the main Actions of your Roleplay down, you can begin adding some context to the Actions. This Context could include how events occur, certain points of Character Development (For your character only), and Plot twists. Remember when plotting out context involving other characters, it's smart if you first discussed this with the said player, so not to cause any conflits in the Roleplay.
 • Step Four / Smoothing & Refining - This step is pretty basic and self-explanatory. Just refine your Events Chart, look over what you have created and make sure it's good with the players whom have signed up to your Roleplay, and your all set to start your Roleplay.
Lesson Five - Hooks & Entry Points]

To best explain the meaning of Hooks and Entry Points, it's best if I explain what Entry Points are first a Hook only purpose is to set open an Entry Point.

Entry Points - Basically, sometimes it's hard for players to get into a Roleplay properly when they aren't given the chance in the story, or are having a difficult time entering the roleplay because events in the story don't exactly call for it. What an Entry Point is, is a point in the story that leads a player to enter the roleplay.

Hook - A hook is best explained as an event which would open up the grounds to introduce new characters.
Lesson Six - Making Your Roleplay More Enjoyable & Interactive]

There are some Key Facts you should take into account when making a Roleplay, and making it more enjoyable and interactive to the other people who join. The following tips may help you in making your Role play more enjoyable for everyone.

Open Writing - try practicing Open Writing, which would mean more interaction with other players. Start conversations, start an action sequence, and don't leave anyone out.

Length & Style - although it is better to aim for more detailed posts, don't over-detail anything. Not many people respond to reading excessively long posts, and others to really short ones. A standard number of around four to eight lines would suffice. Also, the most common Point of View is Third Person Narritive; try not to use script format, or other unpopular pov's.

Acknowledgment - Like in Open Writing, this would entitle the player to acknowledge even small things other characters do in the roleplay. Taking notice of most if not all character keeps each player satisfied and interested.

Summaries - a lot of times some of your players tend to get caught up in other work or get busy, and leave your RP for awhile. To keep those members coming back and staying after a short leave you may want to compile a series of summaries for your roleplay as it pregresses, so old players can get back in when they return.

Foreshadowing - from time to time, its best if you add in a foreshadowing post to give the people participating in your Roleplay a sense of direction of where the plot should be moving towards, so to prevent from going off track.

Autonomy - try to avoid getting trapped into situations where you require other people to progress.

Examples
Examples of Previous Succesful Roleplays]
The Great War is the story of a number of fellows teaming up to bring down their own creator. Many plot twists were created within this story as many of the characters demonstrated various technologies, such as the technology of Reimveration, or passing on into as a different soul at the same age as you were when you die.

Many intricate fights had taken place, including those between two characters that were basicly the same person. Meti Ryuzaki and his Reimverate, Sario Ojima. Usually, a Reimverate cannot exist when the original form has been revitalized, making this scenerio quite interesting and mysterious.

The Great War RP never ended.
After the Struggle, by Rowan_TheWolfGod was a YuGiOh Roleplay where the players roled as the monsters in their own world. There was a war between Sogen, the land of the Warriors, and Yami, the land of the Magicians. One land that was also mentioned was the Dark Lake, Artarius, home of a special type of monster crossed between Warrior and Magician, and in some cases, Fiends. This type of monster was unknown to the world, but known to themselves as Shakari, a tribal name that meant Demon-Soldiers in English.

One Shakari was sent out to find a certain key for his land, as to lead his land into a higher plain of existance. This man was named, San-Sari, the Elemental Shakari, whose power of the many attributes was beyond the limits of his own father's.
Immortal Chronicles is a Roleplay of the vast Universe before our own time. Humans dominated many of the planets, including those of Elukia and Augustus Cloudica.

Meti Crystale, a young boy of the age of 11, orphaned and untamed sinced age 6, begins to discover that he is not the only one of his kind on his home planet of Elukia. He meets a girl of his own age, named Miranda Metachi, at a city known as Saradom. As the story progresses, both Meti and Miranda start to fall in love.

When Meti turns 18, he proposes to Miranda, on his own Birthday. The wedding seemed to go on smoothly, until a mysterious force takes Meti away from the City and into a land known solely as Binc, the land of the Hmarahs, devious creatures of vast power. Though blind, deaf, mute, and touchless as they were, they were still very dangerous creatures.

On the rescue mission to save Meti, Miranda gathers up a team of 4 people, including herself, and then head to Binc.

The team consisted of Henyair, a being of great power, said to have been plumeted from the Higher Plains, or Heaven to us. Ikevin, a wise being of no power except with the sword, and Isis, a quick being who's talents known no bounds.

Together, Miranda and her team rescue Meti Crystale, but at a deep cost, for Meti's long lost father, Anomu, was the one keeping him captive.

In a long fight between the group, now including Meti, against Anomu, Miranda had died defending Meti, as well as did the others, whose lives were lost in vain, for Anomu had soon sent the entire world into silence, and destroyed Elukia, along with his own son.
Twice has the world been under the shadow of chaos, twice it has been freed from death's cold grasp. The shadows refuse to dissappear and are threatening to hold the world once again at the grip of madness and destruction. Many believe that the world will finally come to an end while some scarce few have faith that the world will revolve in this cycle once again.

However, now the darkness has a new threatening machine of war. The devilish leader of an unknown name, but of no unknown power and brutality.

The fate of the world rests in the hands of a innocent individual just graduating from high school, and unaware of such power within the heart beating in her chest. Her name is Sandrilene Zeometra, a girl at the age of 18.

Will you help Sandry discover her potential, or will you attept to hinder her hidden power? The choice is yours.

Name: Careless Whisper (Avanz, Meti, Soharta San Meti, San~Meti 13, Anomu13)

Age & Gender: 18, Male

Biography:
Basicly an 18 year old who plans to become both a writer and a musician all at once. I started with Immortal Chronicles, back when I was given semi-official RP training by Sareth on Battle.net forums. His way of releasing me as a student was to test me based on detail, plot, general knowledge, and ending. I came up with the Immortal Chronicles idea and recently gave up on it. My latest idea is known as In the Heart, telling the story of a young girl of poverty desperately trying to escape her past. In Immortal Chronicles, however, I had to take my original ending from that idea and put into In the Heart. Basicly the ending of one universal time, and then the starting of our own universe.

There's not much more that I really feel comfortable with sharing.

RolePlaying History:
I've been roleplaying for four years now, starting on the forums on Battle.net website then moving onto Roleplaygateway and Divus.

Roleplaying mentor's name is Sareth, (other aliases used, however, Sareth is most recent.)

I've roleplayed in::

The Great War, hosted by Final Fantasy Revolution.

After the Struggle, hosted by Rowan_TheWolfGod.

Immortal Chronicles : The Silent Fight, hosted by me.

In the Heart, hosted by me.

The Solaris Provocation, hosted by Sareth.

Fedfiel Stories, hosted by Fedfiel.

And last but certainly not least.. Time of Brethren, hosted by Bæn.

Room For Improvement: To become more active in the Roleplaying Section.

I've waited months for a club like this to be posted. xD And thanks for the reference, by the way.

If you'd like' date=' I could PM you the basis of the Roleplays that I listed in my history. This way, young roleplayers (meaning newer ones) can look through this thread and pick out ideas and concepts that they can use.

We'll be starting our first Trial Roleplay this friday. Basically what Trial Roleplays are, are mini roleplays based on a single scenario set up by the GM's of this group in order to help improve in certain qualities in terms of roleplaying. This week we'll be working on Lengthy Descriptions, Character Creations, and the Hook & Entry Point System. I will need a GM or two to help me out with these Trial Roleplays, so I will be posting some criteria for what is expected in a GM. If your interested, simply respond to this message.

Alright' date=' I'll send you the basi tomorrow, right now I am tired and wish to sleep.

Understandable, drop it by me when you can.

Okay, I'm sorry for having such a poor 1st post. I was on my cell and I couldn't even copy paste the form (xD), and today I'm on a friends house and then I'm going to see terminator 4. Today night or tomorrow first thing I'll rewrite ther form. Also, what will be the 1st Rp projects we'll do?

It's not problem, i'll edit the first post as soon as you finish and get in your info.

As for the first RP Projects, I will be discussing with the other GM's about the first Trial Roleplay held this friday. We'll set up a simple and short roleplay with a good plot, settings, and include helpful tips within the trial to help teach you guys how to roleplay better. You will also be practicing making Characters for the upcoming Roleplay.

Obtaining a Higher Rank

If you would like the opportunity to advance to the next rank in this club, please read the 5th Lesson in the first post. After you have done so, please post in this thread saying you have done so. In a couple of hours, maybe less, I will post a sign up 'Post' for this friday's roleplay. You will need to create one character for this mini trial roleplay. You will be graded on how well you can produce a character. If you would like a Lesson added on Character Creations, feel free to request one.

Universal Question for this weeks Trial RP. Should I make it Pop-Culture based or something completely creative and made up. Pop-Culturish could be better for newer members, though a Scratch plot will be better for explaining details, and helps improve your overall skill.

Thank you for accepting me. Now, as for the universal question you posed, I would think the latter choice would be better. I assure you a start-from-scratch plot would most definately make things worlds easier for you. Not to mention which you could show several aspects of what a proper role-play should be and how to participate in such a role-play. In simpler terms, it would make everyone's lives easier if you did a completely original plot.

Your welcome. And you are right, a Scratch Plot would be more helpful indeed. I will be discussing things with my GM about the trial rp soon. We'll give some more information soon. Also we should begin planning our first Official Club Roleplay (Don't mistake this for a trial roleplay, completely different).
