I can honestly say this was the most annoying render I've ever done. Too many spikes :S

 

If you want I can remove the lightning streaks and make it look like a ball instead if you don't like them.

EDIT: The upper part was perfect, but the lower part still has choppiness. So I assume that you do the render from the upper part to the lower part. You were losing concentration on doing the lower part, which explains its choppiness. 350 points coming.

thaanks for the advice, it was an extremely hard render; however I usually do the bottom in small chunks rather than going over it all in one go first. Hopefully I can improve my skill some more :)

Meh, I also do that. Put a layer with all black under the render layer to notice its choppiness. And you didn't render that leaf-look-a-like thing under its foot. T_T
