Token cards

Recommended Posts

It is not pointless. There are fictional decks that run on Tokens and Counters. A nice example is in the fanfic Battle Zone in which the main villian`s deck runs on Counters and some Tokens. If you wanted to bring such a thing to reality, Token cards would be greatly appreciated. But since they don't exist in real life, YCMaker will not feel compelled to add them to the Cardmaker.

A Token option would not hurt the Card Maker, and Token cards have, as of the 5D's Tins, been made for use in the actual TCG (Sheep Token, Ojama Token, plus the Tokens for Skyblaster, Grinder Golem, Sinister Seed, Regenerating Rose, D-Hero Double Dude, etc.); even if they aren't mandatory-use, they're still a fun and flavorful way to add further style to your cards (for even if you can stick the effects on the actual card, it doesn't mean that the person doesn't want to make a different image for their Token, after all).

I support this motion, because not only is it a novel idea that wouldn't hurt, but . . .

. . . if it isn't implemented, no doubt there will be countless threads of this in the future that will only serve to be useless post-filler if nobody intends to implement the idea.

old repeatedly suggested and denied suggestion is old

Perhaps' date=' but times change; the OCG and TCG have both implemented Token Cards, as shown here:

. . . and besides, it's not like it would actually hurt anything, unless there's some shopkeep selling Token Card recolors.

No support whatsoever.

Just recolour your cards.

^This.

^ Not everyone is able to do (or willing to go to the trouble of doing) this.

It'd be easier for everyone in the long run to just implement it as an option in the Card Maker; not only would it reduce the workloads of those people who are doing the suggested recoloring (either for their own cards or by request), but it would also cut down on threads like this asking for Token Cards (by nullifying the need for them*).

*EDIT: The threads, that is -- not the Token Cards.

^It's not YCMaker's fault that people are lazy.

[b']A Token isn't that hard to make.

And besides, that's the shop's fault for offering recolors; not ours.[/b]

This is a Token-making tut I found for Paint: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/thread-67857.html?highlight=Token+recolor

I can understand people not knowing how to use GIMP or PS, but this is something that can be decently done on Paint in only a couple of minutes.
