Tefached
the mods would only worry about introductions, then once they approve the introduction, then they can allow the user to post anywhere. they wouldn't be permanently restricted to that section. bury the year
Nein. It'd just get more members onto Introductions to postwhore like they do now. Also, too much stress on mods.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I know that, but newbies should be free to post in any of the allowed forums given to them.
Juuzou
What happens is that when you register' date=' you are restricted only to the introductions thread, where once you post an introduction and it is approved by a moderator, you are then free to use the site to its full potential in all threads that normal users are allowed on. [/quote'] good idea for new forums bad idea for a site with thousands of newbs joining every day and they all lived happily ever after, the end

~Shore
If I was a new member and this happened to me, I'd be pissed. If I was a mod and my job was to approve n00bs, I'd be pissed.Damn, I'm not quite sure if those sentences are in alignment, can anybody see whether my sudden anal obsession with making even lines has been satisfied with correct line alignment? ___
CharrX
No support from me either. Not all new members are forum newbs (like me xD).If at all, just restrict those which are obviously newbies and spam around a lot. Less work for mods than to restrict every new user. DARKPLANT RISING
Tefached, I know what you mean. It might be a little better for some advanced members with like 5 stars, but that will make many new members think "YC Making is boring, and I can't even post." It's probably better to have more people have fun on this awesome site, eh? I don't mean offence, but it's not a really food idea. I won't support. SebastiaanZ
They definitely should restrict new users. I am growing tired of the new members I have seen who are SPAMming the forum. First introductions and rules. I also suggest we restrict their access to the card forums to read-only until they made a certain amount of posts. This New Member Spam threat is going out of hand. Incognito Italian980
I didn't make a intro thread cuz i didn't know there was one. i ended up spaming and getting a 20% warning. so i support your idea so new members don't make the mistake i did. Freeshooter
I support, but I think it would be better if they were limited only to Introductions and the Rules.
Shiranui
Maybe if this site weren't as big as it is it could work but as it stands there seems to be no way to work with out. As much as I hate people who have no idea what they're doing, I can't support something that would take way too much effort on the mods (unless they agree to it). Guest JoshIcy
I for one, never used Introductions until about 300posts. When I realized it was there. But I was far from a newb/n00b. I just never came to the rest of the forum, and restricted myself to CC. So basically, you're asking them to be redirected to the one part of a forum, most if not all newbies have no care for? Makes perfect sense, and will always work. [/sarcasm] Bad idea, is bad.
