JesseTheCowboy
what do you think of the armor cards?
Saturn of Elemia
The concept was pretty cool in the anime in the regard that you actually wore the pieces. As for practical uses, maybe not so much since they will get destroyed by piercers and only get their super swarming ability if you have the Seal of Orichalcos out. Valon looked SO cool when he had the entire suit on as well - much more than Junouchi with his Red-Eyes Black Dragon Armor. Still, they were one of my favorite archtypes. Now if only they'd actually come out.
╬「Selatcia」╬
To have the ability to personally beat the s*** out of your opponent makes it full of win.
ragnarok1945
The problem is their atk is far too weak. Even with the Seal out, they're barely stronger than most 3-star monsters, as clearly shown in the duel against Joey. Yes you do get to punch people in the face with it, but it's still not very practical. And Saturn, I personally liked Lord of the Red better. Phantom Roxas
Lord of the Red was awesome, but it didn't last long compared to Valon's cards. They were the best archetype of Dartz's three (Four if you count Mai) minions. What sucks about them is that they rely on two many monsters to be really good, and a card that can't even be used. The best part was that Valon and Joey themselves fought. I dare Yugi - no, YUSEI - to partake in such an epic Crowning Duel of Awesome.
ragnarok1945
I still saw that duel as Joey looking into a mirror reflection of himself (remember his gang days before Yugi entered his life) And I didn't care how long Lord of the Red lasted, the point was it looked cool
Phantom Roxas
I think it only lasted for about a round or two.
ragnarok1945
I think one round, then Valon destroyed it using the Extinction Fist trap card
optical-mess
It was certainly better then Alisters war deck. But like its been mentioned without the seal its pretty pointless because you need around 6 armor cards to make it worthwhile.
RyanAtlus
Can someone explain the concept?

But like its been mentioned without the seal its pretty pointless because you need around 6 armor cards to make it worthwhile. even 6 seemed small. For Burning and Buster Knuckles gain only 200 atk points per armor card, making their max attack only 1000 without the seal. They may be lv 3 monsters, but that's still very weak
Sunshine Jesse
Swing with Buster Pile, defend with Advanced Shield, etc. I ran these on DMU. I kicked ass

Toffee.
Konami wont release them, since they know Valon's Armor cards would be the equivelent of Neo Geneis' Sneasel card.
Mehmani
They were the best archetype of Dartz's three (Four if you count Mai) minions. HOW DARE YOU! RESPECT THE GUARDIANS! I love the Guardians. I used to run them. Dreadscythe is win.
ragnarok1945
That's just plain cheap in gaining atk that way via the reaperscythe. At least with the armor cards you need SOME degree of strategy

Plus, it has no weakness. Similar to the Armor cards. Which also have like no real weakness, kill everything, and are just too awesome for the game. ragnarok1945
the armor cards are far from 0 weaknesses. Since Ygo DM stressed way too much on high atk, all it'd take is an Offerings to the Doom to rid of Jet Gauntlet, then put Perfect Machine King to the field and it's a OTK (remember the armor cards ARE still technically machine type)
JesseTheCowboy
I think they should use this deck in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5ds, it would be cool in a turbo duel
ragnarok1945
In terms of personal appearance, it looks a little too futuristic compared to the other cards of DM
JesseTheCowboy
true, but it would work for 5ds
ragnarok1945
yeah, for me I found it saddening to see it was the only deck where you use your body as the weapon in DM
Glenn31
Valon's armor deck is cool too bad when he wears the whole thing he cant have anymore monsters unless he played the seal of orichalcos
ragnarok1945
The knuckle armors are too weak even with the seal. Took 7 monsters and the seal just to power it up to 1900 atk
