Rook Bishop
Okay now everyone saying this is better but the Dark Dreadroute was totally first to come out (it was located in Yu-Gi-Oh! 7 Trials and Yu-Gi-Oh GX! Beginning of Destiny) I can't find the pic because the computer think it it the new one, but it have the same effect but have a pic of a giant creature which seem to have a giant circle with numbers. I need to know why every is saying that this new one is better then the old one. Only different is the picture! (Note: everyone is calling it Dark Dreadroute though it name say The Wicked Dreadroot.) OmegaWave
It was also called Dark Dreadroute in Yugioh GX Tag Force 2. I see no difference in picture. So are you discussing the name of the card? Or the card's usefulness?
Rook Bishop
Both. In my games, they have totally different picture but the same effect. (Deadroute don't have wings) Though everyone is saying Deadroot is better.
CrabHelmet
They're both different names for the same card - a card whose original name is THE DEVILS DREAD-ROOT.
Rook Bishop
but they have different pic. Also Dark Deadroute was already out way before THE DEVILS DREAD-ROOT on 7 Trials.
CrabHelmet
but they have different pic. And yet they are the same card. Also Dark Deadroute was already out way before THE DEVILS DREAD-ROOT on 7 Trials. THE DEVILS DREAD-ROOT debuted in the R manga, which predates Seven Trials. Rook Bishop
so why the big deal stating that it better then the first one that was made
CrabHelmet
so why the big deal stating that it better then the first one that was made There is no difference between them. The only one who thinks that a "big deal" exists is you.
Baroque in Paradise
Something I always wondered about Dreadroot -- What happens between him and The Wicked Avatar when they're both out on the field? Does TWA become 4100? Or does TWA become 2050? I'm quite puzzled by this. (And this seems like a good way to reroute the topic to a more useful end, rather than just saying 'which is better the first name or the second?', which is what this thread seems to be degenerating into, and I mean no offense to either party involved in said discussion if it does in fact still exist.) Mehmani
"The Devil's Dreadroot" debued in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Manga.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Dreadroute/Dreadroot are same thing, (1) is Japanese, (2) is english. And, Baroque, I think TWA would have 4100 because Dreadroot only cuts ORIGINAL ATK/DEF. Avatar has 0 ATK and DEF, so it relies on the highest monster on the field. If Dreadroot's there with 4000 points, it'll copy that + 100. Correct me if I'm wrong...

[/quote'] You might want to look at the top of the page; the guy was nice enough to give a pic of Dreadroot, and it says nothing about Original ATK/DEF, just ATK/DEF in general (if it did specify Original ATK, I wouldn't actually be asking the question). Thanks for trying to answer my question, though.
Aximil
I tried this out on Yu-gi-Oh! World Championship 2008 because I was curious myself. The Wicked Avatar's ATK and DEF would become 2050.
DARKPLANT RISING
There are tons of ways to call Dreadroot. 1. Dark Dreadroute2. The Wicked Dreadroot3. The Devils Dreadroot4. Jyashin Doreddoruuto5. 邪神ドレッド・ルートBut they're all the same.

Rook Bishop
so why the big deal stating that it better then the first one that was made There is no difference between them. The only one who thinks that a "big deal" exists is you. That actually not true. There are others who are saying that the new one is better because it easier to summon and is more powerful. (I don't see how.) To the other replies, thanks. To baroque, yes it probably would get it ATK/DEF cut because it also affect cards that increase the ATK/DEF and mostly few cards negate it effect. On that note BESD, would get it ATK/DEF cut in half too because Dreadroot affect all monsters and is technically not targeting just it. don't know why. Comments? The kid with the face
When "The Wicked Dreadroot" and "The Wicked Avatar" are both on the field, whichever monster was Summoned last has its effect applied. If "The Wicked Avatar" is Summoned after "The Wicked Dreadroot", "The Wicked Avatar"'s ATK/DEF are not halved. If "The Wicked Dreadroot" is Summoned after "The Wicked Avatar", "The Wicked Avatar"'s ATK/DEF are halved. That answers the Dread/Avatar problem =/

Guest PikaPerson01
I could have sworn I posted in this topic, but... what the hell's the difference?
Rook Bishop
there are apparently two types of Wicked Dreadroot; one created for the Wicked Beasts and the other was created a little around the GX saga but appear in games (Visitor from the Dark pack in Begining of Destiny). Basically I was asking why everyone said that the second one is better then the first since they had the same effect. Apparently it may be because that the second one fall in the rare selection while the first one doesn't.
Kyosuke Kiryu
^ LOLYCM. Also, Avatar always has its ATK not halved while these are both on the field.
Guest PikaPerson01
I could have sworn I posted in this topic' date=' but... what the hell's the difference?[/quote'] This. Unless the difference is what pack it came from, then this topic is ridiculously stupid. Did they have a different effect, different stats, you know, things that actually matter? Rook Bishop
No same thing just different pack and pics. People prefer to play with the second one then the other one because they say it worst. Changing the title to the a new topic we was talking about. Guest PikaPerson01
So, there's no important difference between these "alleged" two different Dark Dreadroutes. What the hell is there to discuss?
