File Sharing

Recommended Posts

I had a idea of a file sharing forum. This forum purpose is to share files (via attachments) whenever to wallpapers or Winrar archives for your Youtube videos. This is a free web hosting service right? Then lets make use of it. If there's any virus's then report simple. Also most of you have avast, AVG etc., they could probably tell if its a virus or not, if you don't.... then maybe you should get one, your probably already screwed by now if you don't.

Recently, Brushfire said the file should go through a mod first. Also she/he said that exe files should be restricted. Do you agree? I do.

This part relates to above, we should a team of long time members (don't betray us!) that have anti virus protection to pass or decline the file. Not just mods.

If a person is seen with a file that is not approved then they are banned for ? days.

Cyber Altair suggested this:

The servers could have an anti-virus program installed to make sure uploads are secure.

Actually, we should remove the attachment plug-in completely.

if your computer crashes because of a virus you cant very well report a post now can you

Ok. I get the point' date=' could you stop spamming/arguing please?[hr']

Cardinal has a fair point.

Restrict .exe files and make the uploads go through a Moderation process before they're accepted? Only safe way.

Thanks! I'll go edit the post now and credit you.
