Naruto for the reasons stated by Roxas.

But alas' date=' I care more for the manga of both. (Though I would assume the Bleach anime contains more story, which would make it better).

No, the filler in Bleach don't usually even fit into the continuity, whereas with the Naruto anime, they actually combine filler with stuff in the Manga, mostly in Shippuden.

Maybe remove the nerd cansir out?

Bleach.

I stopped watching Naruto early on' date=' as I don't care for the protagonist nor do my ears enjoy being buffeted by his annoying catch phrase that's spammed every 2 minutes.

Plus, I enjoy Bleach quite a bit.

I noticed someone mentioned Yu Yu Hakusho; I love that show.

Naruto doesn't say "Believe it!" at all anymore, and he has greatly matured (See his fight with Pain).

I mentioned Yu Yu Hakusho, which is epic win.

Naruto went from fun and interesting to LOLFILLERFILLERFILLER -pause for emo sasghey- FILLERFILLERFILLER -look at me! I'm nartuo!- FILLERFILLERFILLER -I'm Pein. I don't really tie into anything' date=' but apparently now I'm the main antagonist-

You said that Naruto went downhill after the Chunin Exams, right?

It went from "Replace to Hokage" to filler, then "Sasuke turn to the dark side" to a laundry list of filler, then Shippuden begins a mature Naruto, we actually get the real plot, several Akatsuki members are killed and several other characters train, a member of the main evil organization who just happens to have a lot of things pointing to the fact that he may be Obito, turns out to be the Big Bad, while Pain just happens to be a less important villain with a hive mind.

tl;dr: Naruto is still better than you think.

So I was right about the fillers.

And that really didn't help convince me that Naruto is interesting at all...it sounds pretty generic from your description.

Yeah, on only 2-out-of-three accounts.

You want me to make Akatsuki sound less generic? Alright then:

The "supposed" leader is a messed-up villain with a God complex who wishes to create world peace by nuking all warring nations. That's not as cliched as world-domination, now is it? In fact, I don't think many of the members actually had that goal.

The actual leader is immortal with a goal that either I'm unaware of, is ambiguous, or hasn't even been stated.

Bleach, usually, but as the new release of Yammys Ressureccion, but, as of the latter, I like Naruto more. The Bleach anime has a much better storyline, I believe, but the Naruto anime has MUCH better fillers. I dislike that damn Don Kanonji very, very much.

Roxas, Tobi, or Obito or Madara or whoever he is, has not yet stated his goal.

Also, something even less generic about Akatsuki, is that the "supposed" leader has an eye ability that a great sage once had, and he has 6 bodies separate from his own.

bleach has a great story line, though the fillers of it do suck, there aren't many of them in each arc.

The bount arc was my least favorite, though im only at eps. 120.

Naruto began good, then went to horrid fillers, lost me at the point that saskue or whoever he is went corrupt.. then it focused to much on saskue, then....im gone at this point...it still sucks.

Amethyst, Naruto basically goes like this:

- Canon

- Filler arc that in the end only serves as a way to further Sasuke's jealousy and animosity towards Naruto.

- Epic canon arc

- Lots of fillers, and only a few of the little amount of good filler are important.

- Shippuden begins and canon (finally) resumes

- After this, there really is no filler that's bad, since they actually do incorporate elements from the manga into the filler.

In short, you'd be fine if you skipped half of the Filler Saga that follows the Sasuke Retrieval Arc.

My opinion is rather biased since I've only seen every episode of Bleach and like 4 episodes of Naruto.

I like Bleach better.

A combination of swords and Dragon Ball Z sounds quite awesome to me and that's why I continue to watch it. I like action and that's what Bleach has.

Tho if I watched Naruto I would probably like it as well.

Naruto was good until the end of Wave Arc (Best part of the whole franchise) then it sucked but had the ever cool Gaara in it, but still sucked

Bleach... I never really got into it, I thought it was pretty retarded on a level equal to Naruto

Overall though, I'd say Naruto because of it's larger possibilities for great fanfiction.

I was pretty much done with Naruto when Gaara left the scene.

Did you even watch the arc that was completely dedicated to saving Gaara? Plus, the Raikage has called for a meeting of the Kage, so Gaara will very likely be returning soon.

Yeah, I did. After that, Kishimoto pretty much wrote him out of the story to focus more on Naruto and Sasuke, the two characters I like least in the entire cast.
