I had an idea for anime a few years back. I called it "Tenma" which is Japanese for demon. Each character was of a certian race, they were either human, tenma, or elemental (I couldnt think of a shorter name for elemental.) Would you like to hear about it? :)

You're welcome. Now, let's get down to business.

 

There will be 7 "main" characters in my fic. I already have 4, plus their abilities. I need names and ability ideas for the remaining 3. GOGOGO.

 

If you're curious about the 4 I have:

Keishi Saegusa (三枝景之) - Main character. His ability will remain a secret.

Misako Tachibana (橘美茶子) - Bad-ass girl. Uses some sorta big bladed weapon.

Akira Shishido (宍戸彬) - The goof. Uses throwing knives a la danmaku style.

Komari Yanagikawa (柳河小毬) - Meganekko tech girl. Information gatherer.

Moki Hokudai- Uses a chinese blade.

 

Feng Tokokama- Uses a gun that also acts as a sword.

Still trying to figure that out. My stories are usually character-driven, so I need to weave together a good plot first. D:

I see, you are one of those writers that need to create a webbed out plot before you get to work. I just usually start typing and revise as I go allong. It seems to work for me.

Well, first you need to establish three things. The steps I call TLC.

 

1. Time of occurance

 

2. Location of story

 

3. Character Relations.

3) This one's more complex, considering we have Shro, who's an interdimensional cat who gets dropped off at Keishi's doorstep and sends him on MISSIONS OF AWESOME.

Why did I just get an image of Yoruichi in my head from reading C?

 

Ok, Japan usualy has one of 3 things involved.

 

1. Robots or evil technology (Code Geass)

2. The end of the world (Almost every Square Enix Game)

3. Some crazy almost plotless mess of adventures (Ouran HS Host Club, melancholy of haruhi suzumiya)

 

Judging from that, a suitable Villian for your Manga has a wide range of powers, goals, and/or quirks.

Why did I just get an image of Yoruichi in my head from reading C?

I just need to think of a suitable power for the villain of the first arc, and bam.

hmm, I'll get back to you on that. What kind of power are you looking for? An elemental one? An explosive one? A weapon master? A Chimera? (Part animal/human)

I'd like an explosives user and a hand-to-hand combatant for main charries, but something more supernatural for the villain.

What sort of background does the overall story have? Most likely something that ties in with the main's background could form a Big Bad. Or, looking at the interdimensional cat thing, the Big Bad could be someone associated with dimensions, or dimensional traveling. Maybe resident of an Otherworld/escaped convict from Otherworld/exiled ruler from Otherworld/brooding megolamaniac ruler from Otherworld. Also, you could throw a Sealed Evil in a Can into the mix in order to put down some variety and a plot twist, and what the readers thought was the Big Bad was just a Fake Boss. So, the Fake Boss will probably die/assist the heroes to destroy the Sealed Evil in a Can out of spite/learn the error of his ways.

 

Sure, it's pretty basic stuff, and maybe not that original, but it's good not to experiment to much on your first arc. And yes, I do go on TV Tropes too much. xD

So do I. It's a massive timesuck.

 

And it's gonna have multiple arcs, but I do plan on an interdimensional baddie. That's how the power system, or "Perception", works; by looking beyond the normal world into other dimensions, you can "recode" yourself to break reality. The first arc'll be mainly introduction, tho.

Might I suggest a villian name?

 

Jokai Uudion- Powerful, strong, and a mastermind at that. Can drift through time and space and knows all. Can absorb memories from people to become stronger.
