This game is awesome. Seriously. A story mode, a level-up system, AND fighting characters.

^^ I think my best character is Tina (good), and Jecht (evil). @_@ Although, it's hard for me to understand how some of the fighting works, since I can't read anything beyond simple Japanese.

I'm not really waiting for it because I already have it in Japanese. Cecil and Tidus are by best characters. I don't really know what I'm doing most the time. Despite me getting my ass handed to me 90% of the time, it's still an amazing game. I'll definitely get it when it comes out in English this September.

Cecil is awesome in this game because he has Dark Knight/Paladin forms in the game, which should be able to combo really easily in this game. Tina/Terra should be the hardest character to main. From what I've seen, Tina/Terra only uses spells, which means that you'll have to learn how to use tornado in close range, fire when away, keep away from the opponent, Ice Dash, and learn how to use the Black Magic System. I might main Squall, Sephiroth, or Cecil because Squall can combo and blast away easily (As I've seen from videos), and Sephiroth has an amazing combo ability with his sword. Cecil has combo's also, but they require blasting away or smashing the opponent into the ground, it can be spammible though. I think I'll go with Sephiroth on this one.... >_>

EDIT: Don't forget summons, they make the game a pain in the butt.

I've always liked magic in FF games, so I was perfectly willing to keep practicing with Tina. She's amazing once you get the hang of her. Cecil and Tidus are both awesome, too. Jecht is still my better villain, but I'm also pretty handy with Gabranth.

I will get this like, the week AFTER it comes out, so all the Final Fantasy Freaks having finished picking up their pre-orders and crap like that. Also, how long does it take to translate a game? >_> More than 6 months, Squeenix? I think not. Annnnyway, can anyone tell me if Jecht uses blitzballs at all in this? If yes, I'll probably go for him on the evil side...if not, Kefka. Good...probably Zidane. Also, how do Cecil's class changes go? Are they like, to use SSBB as an example, Samus, using a special attack to switch, or Zelda, transforming at will?

This game will rock. 'Nuff said.

I'm a HUGE fan of FF(although I've only played VIII and X), and as soon as this game comes out, I'd play as either Kefka or Kuja on the evil side. On the good side, I'd go for Onion Knight or Zidane, maybe Tidus too. All I got to say now is...WOW! So Square Enix didn't get this awesome idea until NOW?! MAN! What a shame...

No... They probably waited till they had enough games. Because Dissidia was annouced after the making of Final Fantasy XII, meaning that the game has secret characters from FFIIX, and FFXI.

I think you press [] while in midair to change into a paladin. Then I think you press [] when on the ground to change back into a dark knight. I haven't played as Cecil in a while, so that may be incorrect.

Yeah.. you press Square, but then, almost like SSBB, you sometimes have to master both before facing good opponents.
