Eh, it could work?

Recommended Posts

You need one of those attribute manipulation cards to make the best use of it:

If there are 4 or more DARK monsters with different names in your Graveyard' date=' you can Tribute Summon this monster[b'] by Tributing 1 DARK monster[/b]. You can send 1 DARK monster from your hand to the Graveyard to destroy all monsters your opponent controls. If you activate this effect, destroy this card during the End Phase of this turn.

It also works best with 2 cards as discard fodder. That would require 5 cards.

He's not suggesting you discard Hardened Armed Dragon for Zerato. He's suggesting you summon Hardened Armed Dragon, then tribute it or Dark Lord Zerato, and then you can activate Zerato's effect every single turn if you please, because Zerato can't die from it's own effect.

Eh the combo COULD work, but why would you want to do it?

I did. You can still tribute summon Dark Lord Zerato with two tributes regardless of the monsters atrib, just like any other level 8 monster in the game, or did you forget your basic dueling mechanics?

No, I didn't forget. It was just that it would take longer. I said "to make best use of it", didn't I?

You could do it, but it wouldn't really be worthwhile.

Hardened Armed Dragon + Attribute Manipulation Card = 2 cards, and requires Graveyard preparation

Hardened Armed Dragon + Second Tribute Fodder = 2 cards

In today's lesson, we examine efficiency.

To reply to a point that seems to have been lost to the sands of debate . . . there are plenty of reasons.

The least of which being that it leaves you with a Level 8, 2800 ATK monster that can keep your opponent on the run because 1) they can't destroy it with classics like Fissure or Smashing Ground (or Stardust, note) and 2) if they try to mount an assault upon it the guy'll just nuke their monsters all over again and leave them scrambling for purchase once more.

That is, it turns Darklord into a wannabe Obelisk the Tormentor.

And actually, Zarkus, about the 'efficiency' gripe, I think Crab Helmet was referring to the 'Attribute-modifier' VS '2nd Tribute fodder' deal.

Which is easily handled with a Fires of Doomsday during the End Phase (which is easily decked, I might add, with minimal technical difficulties).

So yes, Zarkus, you've come up with something viable, if possibly a little unorthodox.

Technicly' date=' Hardened Armed Dragon's main purpose was for the sole purpose of the Earthbound monsters.

Technicly, Elemental Hero Neos Alius's main purpose was for the sole purpose of the Neos Fusion Monsters. I dunno what this Little City nonsense is, but it's probably not important because it's not the reason Konami made the card, right?

Hardened has an effect to keep a monster from bieng destroyed by card effects, Earthbound God monster are destroyed if thare isnt a Field Spell.

So I just put 2 and 2 together.

Plus, Neos Alius is an lolE-Hero. So he magicly works with all other lolE-Hero cards.

And therefore any use of him other than for the Earthbound Gods is not officially sanctioned by Konami and is therefore wrong.

Neos Alius is a guy, so he can't possibly be a loli hero. He could be a shota hero, but he looks too old for that.

He could always be a lolicon hero. I mean, just look at who he hangs out with.

Lady Heat, absurdly flat chested, even in the OCG version.

Burstinatrix, he shows no interest towards her and she prefers to run off with Avian anyway.
