Karen was harder then Lance' date=' as her Umbreon was frreakin' satanic.

[/quote']

Truest statement ever made....... that Umbreon gives me nightnmares.

......I also learned that Bug beats Dark' date=' as Rairyu(Ampharos) just Signal Beamed it to death.

(*was under the impression that they were only weak to fighting*)

[/quote']

Same here, I had no other Pokemon to turn to so I hoped a Signal Beam would do some damage.... I was like O.o

Typhlosion should have Thunder Punch.

Typhlosion should never have Thunder Punch. It's Attack is very low. Typhlosion wants Special Attacks.

Adamant Typhlosion would like a word with you.

And it's attack will still suck.

It's Base 109 SpA and Base 84 Atk. So I guess it could work well as a mixed attacker.

And there are tons of other Pokémon that are far superior mixed attackers, even in UU.

Was he talking about competitive moveset or in-game? :/

Okay, so I finally grinded (ground?) enough, and I am ready to take on the Elite Four and then eat Lance's head off... srsly.

Here is my team.

[spoiler=Before Elite Four]

Ampharos @ Shuca Berry (Lv42)

Signal Beam, Focus Blast, Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave

Dragonair @ Choice Scarf (Lv40)

Waterfall, Surf, Dragon Rush, Dragon Pulse

Pidgeot @ Wacan Berry (Lv39)

Fly, Pluck, Quick Attack, U-Turn

Feraligatr @ Muscle Band (Lv42)

Ice Fang, Crunch, Earthquake, Surf

Ninetales @ Shuca Berry (Lv41)

Dark Pulse, Flamethrower, Will-o-wisp, Confuse Ray

Tentacool (Lv20)

Surf, Whirpool, Waterfall, Toxic Spikes

inb4i'mover-leveled

inb4i'munder-leveled

inb4flamedragonsaysi'mgoingtowin

I have a ton of items, so I see no reason why I can't win. But it may take a few soft resets. I'm hoping I can 2HKO everything, but that may not be possible.

Pidgeot has Pluck over Wing Attack because they have the same base power, but Pluck can steal Sitrus Berries.

Level them all up (except Tentacool since it just seems to be Revive bait) to level 45 or higher, otherwise you'll have a very very hard time.

Well Blaine nearly handed my butt to me....I had to spam Revives and Max Potions to survive.....I think I sort of forgot Rapidash had Flash Fire ability...and had to use Typhlosion to buffer me against Flare Blitz....Blaine always healed before I could kill it. I've entered the main gate from Route 22, I've beaten everyone in Blue's gym bar Blue.

I decided to look for a Pikachu for Surge, figure out where Suicune is, and go on getting gym leader numbers. I'm glad the trainers who you call (non-gym) battle as many times as you want. The guide I found listed them so I was grateful.

I'd already seen Suicune at Route 25, before Route 14, so I'll check it out.

You did remind me to check Pikachu's. Serebii said you can meet the birds when you get all 16 badges, but I killed Articuno before I had 15.

Articuno can be gotten as soon as you gain access to Pallet Town by surfing over to the Seafoam Islands. Moltres can be gotten once you have access to Mt. Silver. Zapdos can be gotten once you beat Red.

Also, this is copied from Serebii.

Suicune is somewhat different to the other Legendary Beasts in that it does not roam Johto in the manner Entei & Raikou do. Instead, it is a stationary legendary. However, before you can get it, you must chase it around. At some points in the game, you will meet Eusine and he will follow you as he is also tracking Suicune. Suicune, like Entei & Raikou is released into Johto when you access the basement of the Brass Tower.

Suicune is seen in the following places and you must follow it if you wish to capture it. First, it will be found in the north of Cianwood City. After you encounter it there, you will shortly find it outside the entrance of Mt. Mortar in Route 42. Once you find it here, it will leave Johto and head to Kanto where you will see it in Vermillion City soon after you arrive. Next you will see it in Route 14 where it will escape for the final time to be found outside Bill's House in Route 25 after Misty has returned to her gym. This is where you battle Suicune.

If you defeat it and don't capture it, it will re-appear at the Burnt Tower when you beat the Elite Four

Not at all.

Will was fairly easy, except both his Xatu outsped my Ampharos.

Koga was also easy. Absolutely no problems with him, although I expected EQ to be a OHKO. It was a 2HKO. <_<

Bruno was also fairly easy. Pidgeot did all the work, with the exeption of Onix who was taken down by Dragonair, and Machamp who was taken down by my star player, Ampharos.

I had to soft reset a few times to beat Karen. The first two times, Umbreon was pure hell. Until I used some X Specials on Ampharos and managed a 2HKO with Signal Beam. The next two times, Houndoom swept my entire team with one Nasty Plot. I couldn't OHKO with Dragonair's Waterfall, but he was scarfed, so it was okay.

Lance was... ehh, I expected a bit harder. Ampharos took down Gyarados, Feraligatr 2HKO'd all the Dragonite's with Ice Fang (although I had to Revive him several times). Charizard was just lol. And Aerodactyl was OHKO'd by Thunderbolt. So he was fairly easy, but it took me two or three tries to beat him. Better than Karen, though. <_<

My current Pokemon levels are: Feraligatr @ 43, Dragonair @ 40, Ampharos @ 45, Pidgeot @ 40, Ninetales @ 42.

If I ever get time to grind like hell, I'll be training up a Growlithe and a Murkrow and replace Pidgeot and Dragonair. Because by the time Dragonair becomes Dragonite, I'll be done with Blue. <_<

OFF TO KANTO, HUZZAH!

EDIT: My time of beating the Champion sits at 22:19. That means I beat all of Johto in less than a full day. So, post your time of championship. Although the Trainer Card doesn't say what in-game time you beat Lance, it says what day/time you did. Mine was April 12th at exactly noon.

That's a bit of a shock. I thought you would have trouble with Lance' date=' Bruno, and Karen. Oh well, just wait til the next time through.

[/quote']

I spent literally all my money on items. I had 30+ Revives, 25+ Hyper Potions, 40+ Super Potions, and probably around 45 Full Heals. I was definitely prepared. For the most part, Karen was somewhat a joke. Houndoom and Umbreon were the only real problems. Vileplume was just lulzy, Gengar was taken down by Crunch, and I forgot what her fifth Pokemon was.

And Bruno... c'mon. I had a Pidgeot that beat three of his Pokemon. You really thought I'd have trouble? Oh, and I had a Wacan Berry attached, so ThunderPunch did less than 40 damage.

Must have been comparing the run to my first run through the league in HG. None of my Pokémon were above level 35, except for my Typhlosion, which was BARELY over.

Ha!

Also anyone gone to the Battle Frontier Yet?
