It was obvious that after Platinum (and Arceus =O)' date=' they could not make a 5th generation. Too obvious. If you did not know that, go suicide because you are an idiot. Seriously, Arceus is God. What comes after God, except maybe the Devil? But Darkrai/Giratina cover that. So just suicide, you idiot. No 5th gen.

 

It was also obvious that Gold/Silver remakes were in the horizon. I, for one, am happy.

It's worthless in game. There are better moves for Typh. :/

I use Protect on my in-game Honchkrow with Perish Song and Mean Look. Not as effective as it could be, as it is in-game, but still, rather fun. I named her Nyx, after the greek godess of the night, because she is epic that way.

But peoples don't use the Protect/Explosion or Protect/Earthquake combos in competetive battling because most matches are single fights.

 

Bad examples huh? I was just saying even in the 'lame' in game battles you can see it being useful.

And when exactly do you turn the game off? I've only used the Pokewalker a whole one time, so I don't exactly remember what order the events happen it. But great, now I have a cloning glitch to exploit. And now I don't need to use AR on my SS. :D

 

@Aximil: Yes. Protect is very useful in competitive play. ^^

 

It's worthless in game. There are better moves for Typh. :/

 

Protect is extremely useful in competitive play. Prime example: the whore (Blissey) with Wish and Protect.

 

And it's not totally worthless in-game. But it's still a waste of a moveslot.

 

Can the Pokemon that are in-game trades be shiny?

Electrodes can be shiny, but iirc, in-game trades cannot. I'm pretty sure everything (nature, IVs, shinyness) is determined beforehand.

Has anyone noticed that you get the same level when you trade a pokemon to an in-game player? I just noticed it like 2 months ago. Is that the same in this game because I haven't traded with any of them. Also is the spearow side quest still in this game? There's a guy in the goldenrod city are that says "give this spearow with this mail to my friend near the bird town" can't remember town name but its the flying gym leader's town. Violet City? I was just wondering because back in Gold version i gave the mail to my starter, my strongest pokemon, and accidentally forgot it had the mail and I gave the gb to my little brother so he could go get the spearow but he gave the Typhlosion to him and I came back and was like "give me my pokemon back!!!"

I think it caps at a certain level. If you give someone a Lv100, they sure as well won't give you a Lv100 back. But yeah, usually trades are the same level, I noticed that back in RSE.

 

And the Spearow sidequest is still in HGSS, but I forgot the town name, too. But hell, you can steal a Pokemon.

Do what I'm going to do, try at night this way you can use dusk Balls. I don't know the exact number but i know they are better then Ultra.

I can understand Charizard, Dragonite or Arcanine 'cos their stats are really high and types are pretty useful...

(Shuckle has the highest Def+Sp.Def stat xP That's odd to say it looks terrible).

 

 

P.S, I caught a Lv.50 Snorlax in one go with a Quick Ball =3 Mwaha.

If you want anti-Red you should replace Snorlax with a Fighting type or teach Snorlax a strong Fighting move. His Snorlax won't go down easy if you don't.

If you want anti-Red you should replace Snorlax with a Fighting type or teach Snorlax a strong Fighting move. His Snorlax won't go down easy if you don't.

No, it still can, your just doing it wrong. Snorlax has a really good Sp DEF and HP. The HP can't be avoided, but it only has a base DEF of 65 so if something with high attack hits it with a high powered physical move it should take a decent part of it's HP out.

Scyther isn't used that much.

 

Charizard/Dragonite/Arcanine hardly see competitive play.

 

Charizard because of Stealth Rock, Salamance does everything better than Dragonite, and I'm too busy to look at Arcanine's stats right now, so I'm just going to say Monferno is a way better choice.
