Alright' date=' going to go challenge Blue.

On another note, that double battle in the Dragon's Den was so weird. Lance's pokemon were all 60+, Clair's went from 52 to 60 something, and Rival and I owned them with pokemon in the 50s.... -_- Lance's lvl 75 Dragonite was pathetic.

[/quote']

I'm assuming this battle isn't until much, much later in the game? I beat the 8th gym and stole, err, I mean was gifted a Dratini, but I didn't get a double battle with my rival yet. D':

Can someone tell me how the Score results work for the bug catching contest?

Because I want a leaf stone to make my Weepinbell evolve' date=' but I never ended up being first, even though I catch a Scyther and the 1st place winner wins the contest with a f***ing Caterpie.

What kind of logic are they using in the bug catching contest?

I'm pretty sure HP remaining and maybe level comes into the picture, too.

If you catch a Level 15 Caterpie with all of its HP remaining, it's definitely better than getting a Level 11 Scyther with a few HP remaining.

It worked :D

I caught a Kakuna with full HP and finally came first place. Thanks.

I'm still trying to work out a formula for that, since not a single website has it so far.

It's probably something simple like:

(Level + Remaining HP) x Multiplier

Where the multiplier is 0.8 for Caterpie or Weedle, 1.0 for Kakuna or the other one, 1.1 for Butterfree or Beedrill, and 1.25 for Scyther or the other good bug-type.

Awesome I just caught a Ditto.

I recently Caught Entei with a quick ball. I is happy nao.

isn't that the only way other than the old' date=' send out wobuffet or use mean look and or block

[/quote']

Or if you're desperate, and you're too lazy to have mean look/arena trap/quick ball/master ball, just keep hunting for it, damage it everytime you see it, then throw a ball if you think you're ready.

Well, I am keeping a Legend Log because I am just a nerd like that. I'll update it in future posts, but this is what I have so far.

Legend - Nature - Status - Pokeball Used - Total Used

Entei - Relaxed - 1 HP, Sleep - Pokeball - 12

My only consolation for the shitty Relaxed nature is it has a 30 ATK IV, which is somewhat of a plus. I'm hoping Raikou fares better with the natures and whatnot. For Lugia, I'm soft resetting until I get Timid or Bold, no questions about that. But, yeah. My Pokeball stock went down from 200 to a miniscule 188. Oh no, I have to refill now! <_<

Hopefully so. Since Suicune isn't a roaming legend (and is best out of the three dogs), I'm hoping that you can soft reset for natures when you finally approach it. That's why I'm not using my Master Ball on anything else, so I can catch something once, do a nature check, catch it again, check again, and repeat until I feel that the natures are random or set. I'm hoping Raikou at least has a +Spe nature or +SpA nature, minus Quiet and Jolly, of course. Bah, oh well. Relaxed isn't too bad... owait, yes it is.

And yes, your Smeargle is awesome. But the only shortcoming is that Roar kills me. If Smeargle was hacked so it could have Soundproof, that'd help. Since Roar is more common than Whirlwind, of course. But your Smeargle is quite epic. I usually do Block, Swords Dance, Spore, Swords Dance, False Swipe, and then start chucking Pokeballs. I do Swords Dance before Spore because that gives me an extra turn of sleep, and I don't necessarily need to use Spore right after Block.

Yeah... so, maybe today I'll catch Raikou, too. Then Lugia, and then nothing until Kanto. D:

Just beat the E4 as well. Pikachu took down most of Karen's pokemon easily. Noctowl took down Bruno. I tried not using Feraligator against Lance so I used Pikachu. Pikachu took down Charizard, Gyarados, and Aerodactyl easily. Had a hard time against the 1st Dragonite. Got KOed by the second. Used a revive. Killed it and the 3rd by luck. I took down Will with Noctowl only.
