Dark
I first got Cyndaquil' date=' and I must say, Tylphlosion's lack of ATK is killing me. D:[/quote'] Typhlo is more based on SpA instead of ATK. Look at the base stats on Smogon; it's 84 compared to 109. Even so, the ATK isn't horribad as long as you have a neutral or increasing nature. It's not competitive battling, and most of the computers in Pokemon are fairly easy. Just remember; IT'S SUPER EFFECTIVE. <
Catman25
Yeah I know it's good for Sp. ATK, but I miss the good old days of GSC, when Fire Punch did the trick. And when I'm facing like a water pokemon, Flamethrower seems to beat Strength. =/
Dark
I believe that Strength has 80 BP. And Flamethrower has 95. Multiply by 1.5 due to STAB. So that's 142.5. Now divide by 2 because of NVE. 71.25. It's not even 10 BP lower, yet it's coming from a base stat that's 25 points higher.
Xazeon
I'm in a situation here. I want a Shiny Garados on my team, but I also want a Feraligatr. And if I choose Cyndaquil, I also want an Arcanine. Halp?

Jord200
well I mean when the classics came out. it was 10 years ago. GSC came out 2000-2001 I believe. I aslo wanted to use the starter I used back then. Chikorita. besides I intend to have the red gyrados as my water type.
Xing
How does everyone else have one right now? I asked, and they said it doesn't come out 'till tomorrow. I checked 2 Walmarts, a Target, and they all said the same thing. FU*K THE WORLD! OVER A VIDEO GAME!
Dark
Pre-orders. And most GameStops and Toys R Us' have HGSS pre-orders right now. Other stores won't have it for another 2 to 7 days. D;
Xing
Only Gamestops in my area have them, but my parents are to lazy to drive 30 mins. Gotta wait....
Dark
Stop being a lazy American and walk. One day my mom was too lazy to make food, and I didn't have any PopTarts left. So I walked 20 minutes to Taco Bell, ate my food at a local park, and walked back. ^_____^

Flame Dragon
Is it just me' date=' or are Magnemite and Mareep the only Electric-types available in the Johto region? D: Also, be careful. Falkner is tougher in these versions. ^^[/quote']Their is at least two more in the form of Lanturn and Rai Not really. By the time I got up to him I already had Quilava who was more then enough to finish him alone. BTW Flame your HG team is perfect but your SS team has huge ice weekness with Meganium' date=' Golem and Fearow.[/quote']I've been told. Meh, I don't really care. If anything it will make things harder for me, and that is going to be the point of my SS run. That is also why I'm using Meganium and Golem. Pre-orders. And most GameStops and Toys R Us' have HGSS pre-orders right now. Other stores won't have it for another 2 to 7 days. D;I have to agree. I checked Target and they said they didn't have it. Toy R Us was closed but from what I saw inside it looked like they had it. I got my copy at GameSpot. Just to keep you guys up to date on how far I am, Quilava: 23 and Flaaffy: 20. About to get my Yanma, but it should be real fun since 1) He's rare, 2) I'm trying to get a good nature, 3) While both abilities are good, I want Speed Boost. Dark
A bit off topic, but on the topic of hard Gym Leaders, the electric Gym Leader in Ruby/Sapphire (Mr. Watt? It wasn't Lt. Surge, I know that.) always screwed me over. Sonicboom was really cheap, and my Mudkip wasn't a Marshtomp yet. D:
