Well I could do a trasnfer for you; you trade the starters to me, and I trade 'em to your Platinum.

Only catch is you'll do the same thing for me when the time comes. =)

My main game team

~Crobat lv. 78

~Starmie lv. 78

~Typhlosion lv. 83

~Ampharos *gets shot* lv. 81

~Espeon lv. 79

~HM slave Geodude lv. 10

Now that I feel that I've fully beaten the main game, it's time to take a break from Pokemon for a while. -_-

Are you kidding? "In game" is the worst part of Pokemon. Play the Frontier (fail at it) then learn about competitive play and battle people over WiFi, then try the frontier again and do a bit better. You've bearly even tapped the game's potential.

I know how to battle properly. And I know you can still do a ton.

I'm just taking a break.

I would happily use a Lanturn... except for the fact that I already have a water-type (Totodile chain). So Totodile/Mareep is probably the best early-game combo.

That is part of the reason i don't like using the Water starter. Their are so many cool Water types so if you start with one' date=' you can't really use another.

[/quote']

I agree there, but you can use another one. For example, Feraligatr is more physical based and is missing out on a shitload of type coverage. So if you get a special-based water type that has access to different movetypes than Feral, it could be quite beneficial to your team. But I didn't think that far ahead yet. :/

True. It can work, but you still are cutting down the number of pokemon you can use. I really just don't like using the same type pokemon on my team,

I do, but it won't be for a while.

Alternatively, you could get some... friends???

What are these friends that you speak of?

After millions of battles with Chuck, my Dragonite finally reached 88, which matches Red's strongest pokemon (And really, in a Dragonite Vs. Pikachu match, I'd have to assume Dragonite would win)

So my Red gameplan is just gonna be

Dragonite Vs. Pikachu, Charizard and Snorlax

Ampharos Vs. Lapras and Blastoise

Typhlosion Vs. Venusaur if necesary, otherwise Dragonite should probably be able to handle it.

I was doing that same thing, only for my whole team.

My team is a lot weaker the Reds so I've been trying to train up. I also caught Lugia and Suicune and did the rival tag battle. Also I got lucky with the Lugia being a Modest one.

And team update

Typhlosion: 59

Yanmega: 56 (I've been trying to get a good Bug move which is why he is so strong)

Lapras: 55

Ampharos: 55

Machamp: 55

Donphan: 53

When my whole team is about 5 levels higher I'll start beating the E4 for levels. When their 10 levels higher I'll try to beat Red.

Oh shit. Since I started a new game' date=' my Pokewalker won't work.

Help D:

[/quote']

Q: Can I reset a Pokewalker?

A: Yes. At the Pokewalker connection screen, press and hold Down, X and L

Q: I lost/broke my Pokewalker! How do I get my Pokemon back?

A: At the Pokewalker connection screen, press and hold Up, Select and R

Seeing as you restared the game, the pokewalker must not recognize the game file. Try that, and if that doesn't work, email the Pokemon website/Nintendo.

EDIT: I'm trying to catch Suicune, and it's being a stubborn bish. I even tried Hypnosis + Throwing Ultra Balls = No Suicune.

I used Thunder Wave and False Swipe. Worked like a charm.

Paralysis is awesome. :) It works better than sleep, but I still can't catch Suicune.

EDIT: I caught it. It only took around 30-40 Ultra Balls, Almost Knocking it out, paralyzing it, about 20 pokeballs, 1 quick ball, and 1 Premier Ball. That took forever.

EDIT: Dammit! Suicune has a Serious Nature. For those of you who don't know, Serious has no effect whatsoever on the pokemon's stats. I wanted it to have a Mild nature. D:

On-topic: Clair has such an odd gym. My Feraligator with Ice Fang is effectivly getting easy EXP

(lol)

[/quote']

Well, let's see something, eh?

Red, Blue, Yellow (Gen I)

Gold, Silver, Crystal (Gen II)

Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald (Gen III)

Fire Red, Leaf Green (Gen I Remakes on a Gen III Engine)

Diamond, Pearl, Platinum (Gen IV)

Heart Gold, Soul Silver (Gen II Remakes on a Gen IV Engine)

So my guess is that Gen V will eventually release 3 games. After that, they will make Ruby and Sapphire (not Emerald) remakes on the Gen V engine. That's if the pattern stands true.

While battling Lance in SS, I noticed that the Pokeball design on the ground in the battle scene was Red/Blue. Maybe Red = Ruby, Blue = Sapphire.

That was likely to be the reason for the colors.

Yanmega finally has Bug Buzz, thank god. It took so long, but at least it has a good attacking move now. Also using Choice Specs on Mega is fun.

Speaking of choice items my mom got me a Scarf a whole ago. She also got me a Focus Sash as well as all but the Flying type berry weaken. I

...Wait, did Ruby+Saphire have anything that was japanese only?

Cuz' I'm assuming we only got Soul Silver/Heart Gold because we get the Japanese content, in Ameirca.

I'm just going to take a wild guess at the remake names...

Shining Sapphire and Flawless Ruby

It seems like the kind of thing they would do :D
