the game has progressed to the point where very little skill is required.

i liked teledad' date=' i never hated it.

i thought it was one of the most, if not the most skill based deck out there.

ls is lucksack s***.

and gbs just play by a script.

[b']theres so few people with any talent out there.[/b]

I run my own special "La Jinn Synchro" deck and it got me into the Top 8 at locals. 3 to 1 in Round 1 (Meaning 3 wins, 1 loss)

But ya....Lightsworns are nothing but noob-shizz cards. Anyone who runs Lightsworn aren't real players. They're just lucky.

5 decks:

Light Sworn: No skill is involved, all it is is blind milling. Fail

Glad Beasts: Has very little skill but some skill nonetheless. It is all about getting the right guy at the right moment

DAD: Broken as s***! Easy grave control with great results. Requires quite a bit of strategy

Fing D-hero synchro: Meh, blind summoning and drawing. Everything is spelled out for you

Spellcasters: This deck requires a lot of strategy to be successfull against the others I have listed, but once you build it right, you are unstopable

Back in the days of old YGO when Archetypes were a Minor feature of this Game' date=' Decks were based on skill...A lot....Control was Meta....and that was a good time....Archetypes Just ruin it....

[/quote']

Archetypes bring strategy along with them, which brings consistency for a more easier strategy. This makes the game more enjoyable for the players. They do essentially make the game "easier", yes, but it certanly does not ruin it at all. It makes the game more creative and they may be sort of easier to use for new players because of this consistency.

If the game had no archetypes, then every "good" deck would pretty much be a flat out beatstick deck.

LS in my opinion is simply the most well made archetype, which may be why it is currently the top deck.

OT: The GB's strategy isn't nooby per say, however they are not complicated to play with either. They pretty much just play by the book. In defense of other LS, I think we should think about how many other archetypes are pretty much luck sacks. If Im playing a Dark World Deck and I pick up 3 Goldds and 2 Dark World Dealings and then Draw another Dark World Dealings, isn't this basically luck sacking?

I calz it Porn because LS rapes the meta.

With its lack of thought? It is like Mtv' date=' Twilight, and Yugioh all roled into one huge pile of pointless!

[/quote']?

They were a metaphore for how little thought goes into playing light sworn.

Control isn't a deck, it's a style of play.

The strategy is canned. Small archetypes still require skill to build a foundation for them, but the larger archetypes of today are rigid in their construction.

This makes the game more enjoyable for the players. They do essentially make the game "easier"' date=' yes, but it certanly does not ruin it at all.

Yes, it has made the game easier, but the players do not need dumbed-down, specially-designed archetypes to play. (That may have came out a bit strong, but it annoys me.)

It makes the game more creative and they may be sort of easier to use for new players because of this consistency.

It has done the opposite. A lot of creativity is stifled. I get a pack' date=' and two or three are useful to me; everything else is archetype-specific. Players are forced to conform to the strategies given to them. There are exceptions, but they are the minority.

If the game had no archetypes, then every "good" deck would pretty much be a flat out beatstick deck.

Right now we have themed-beatdown, if you haven't noticed.
