Final Fantasy X is like, basically, my favorite RPG ever.

It was my first Final Fantasy, and it has a special place in my heart. ^^ I've replayed it about 3 times, and am currently on my secnd playthrough for the International Version.

X-2, by contrast, was not nearly as good. However, for me, the Gameplay and Ending made it all worth it.

I could really go on and on and on about this game, but I won't.

xD And if anyone needs help, post your questions or concerns here. I will happily answer.

ffx was an amazing game.it was soooo addictive and interesting.

it was also a great challenge to get around the sphere grid.

ffx-2 was ok.it was easy on the eye with rikku and yuna(not paine).:P

the plot wasnt the greatest but still an ok game

Ratings:

ffx 9/10

ffx-2 6/10

Yeah FF10 was really great =), I completed it about 3 times and I still have a save where my Tidus has 36000 HP and 210 ATK xD, that pretty much tells you how long I have been playing this game, but I never got to Peanence sadly -.-

And the Sphere Grid is just wonderful in my opinion. The game has allot to do even after you get inside Sin.

I heard that FF10-2 isn't that great so I never played it. >_>

Maybe I should...

So the game gets a 10/10 rate from meh ^^

ah Peanence what an epic battle i had with it.

it was going brilliantly until it decided to absolutely kiss my a**.:P

yeaf ffx-2 was kinda poor but it was ok to play but i dont think it compares to ffx.

i agree totally about all you have to do as sub quests in the game.

ffx is an all-time classic

=o You never maxed out anything?

Also, did you play the International Version? Because Penance isn't in the Normal Version.

-_- I don't understand why people hate the Sphere Grid. I thought it was a very creative way of leveling up.

Nop i didn't max it out, because after a while new games came, so I left FF10 for a while, I still play it ocassionally =)

But if I wanted to I could......once you get those.....ummm..special arena monsters.....you get a dozen of Sphere Grid Spheres (reflex, attack, HP, Mp, ect.) from them, and if you 1 hit them then it goes pretty fast ^^

And yes I have the International one, Black Aeons FTW! =D

Dark Aeons. But yeah.

And I believe you're thinking of the Species Conquest monsters in the arena, which give Power/Magic/Defense/Magic Defense/Evasion/Accuracy/Agility/HP Spheres.

Although, only one of them can be one-hit-killed, as they all have high HP values. The Vidatu is the only one whose HP is low enough to die from one maxed out hit, since it only has 95,000 HP. Oh, and the Sleep Sprout, since it only has 98,000.

@Saturn: I always max out Rikku first, then Tidus. The third character is all dependent on the file - I always vary my third choice.

And you should try X-2 again. It won't win game of the year. Ever. But I thought the fighting was fun. And when you get to the few serious story bits, it can be enjoyable. Really, the Ending is all that makes it worth it (although, you need the GOOD ending).

Final Fantasy X was the game that got me into the series. Though the first one I actually played was Final Fantasy VIII. I guess I'm also one of those people who doesn't mind Final Fantasy X-2. It was decent enough. The thing I liked the most about it was it's battle system. In a way, it's almost like Final Fantasy XIII's.

Totally. Like I said, FFX-2 may have had a seriously lackluster story for a FF game, but I still enjoyed it. The Battle System totally tied it together (I just wish the Battle music wasn't so annoying).

But X-2 also brought us one of the best FF songs - I love 1000 Words. And the scene that with it. The serious bits of story in X-2 are like a Romantic Tragedy. It's great. There's just too much nonsense in between.

xD And yes, I am currently attempting the NSGNSNONENCNNENBB challenge. No Sphere Grid, No Summons, No Overdrives, Ne Escape, No Customize, No "No Encounters", No Blitzball.

Doable but extremely difficult.

In order to preserve my sanity (as that challenge will surely test it), I'm also doing NSGNSNC on the side, for a much simpler challenge. xD It'll make me feel better to play that one when I get stuck on the first one.

=O So what were you guys' favorite summons in the game? I'm a fan of Valefor ^_^

My fav Sumoon is Shiva (she looks really great in FFX)

Yes Valefor is nice also, and his 2nd overdrive looks awesome.

My most hated is The Magus-Trio, because of the:..taking a break.. >_>

it pisses me off xD

I wouldn't even dare to play the game with those conditions, you are...basically all you can do is attack until you get Rikku's item arsenal.

Well good luck with it anyways. =D

Final Fantasy X was good but so easy.

X-2 had my favorite battle system (minus the dress spheres) and had some of thee hardist boss battles ever.

naah' date=' i found ffx boss's harder. But in ffx-2 I loved the via infinito, it was a good challenge. And i don't know what your talking about, I loved the Sphere grids.[hr']

fav aeon anima because pain is a cool atk and its overdrive is awesome but shiva would be 2nd

yes Anima was crazy powerfull @.@

He was, but i liked valefor, because he had his secret Overdrive, Energy Blast!

Yep. In the international version, each individual punch (15 hits) plus the final shebang (1 hit) does damage, up to 99,999.

So if you set it on short (where it only shows the shebang of her overdrive), it adds up all the damage and shows you the total - up to 1,599,984 Damage.

As for my insane condition - no, I can also use Cheer, Dark Attack, Power Break, Cure, Lanset, Fire, Water, Thunder, Blizzard, Steal, and Use.

=O NSG means I can't activate the grid - it doesn't mean I can't use the abilities they already start with.

xD Yes, Lar, you really need to play X without cheats (or get the INT version).

=O And whoever addressed Valefor as a he - Valefor is a she.

Valefor - Girl

Ifrit - Man

Ixion - Man

Shiva - Woman

Bahamut - Boy

Yojimbo - Man

Anima - Woman

Magus Sisters - Two women, one girl.

In Final Fantasy X, I've always been partial to Bahamut and Ifrit. And Anima I guess, but in the North American version, they made her suck compared to how she was in International.

(By the way, apparently Valefor is going to be in Final Fantasy XIII along with Ifrit, Shiva, and possibly Bahamut and Alexander.)
