I'd actually say to remove:

Both Gimp tips - they're both rather bad tips (1st makes bad backgrounds, 2nd is trash)

Both Photoshop tips - Both are bad (1st gives worse results, 2nd gives a bad effect)

The Simple Banner Tutorial - Result is bad and it teaches a bad method

The Gimp Signature Tutorial - I already said before it was really bad

 

These are only suggestions though

Render is just floating in the middle of some strange universe

Lighting is aweful, general direction is nearly right but there is absolutely no connection between the lighting on the render and that of the background

Render does not fit in at all

No depth

No blending

Bad flow, should've gone with another direction

Render is really blurry

Text is absolutely horrible

 

I'm sure I'm missing somethings

Good flow I'm not sure if this is apropreate though.

I like the transparent face in the background to nice touch, and very good job with the brushes.
