It’s a coastal city. Nothing special. Comparable to Boston, really. There’s a good deal of skyscrapers, a city park, the works. However, there’s something that many other cities don’t have.

 

The Radius.

 

Nobody knew why the thing came down here, or why it situated itself in midair, encased in a glowing radioactive green orb, above the tallest skyscraper. It is very powerful, though, being able to wipe out anything that tries to assault it with beams of high-density radiation.

 

This radiation, however, has given rise to neohumans. Only in humans, mind, and those who seem to have a latent portion of DNA. However, to those who have the Radius Gene, as it has been dubbed, have quickly became the leading force in the surface, some using their newfound powers for crime, and others trying to stop them. No coherent factions have arisen, but there is one goal on everyone’s mind; to discover the purpose of the Radius, where they can possibly obtain the unimaginable power that it might contain.

2) This isn't all about fighting, so do some character development as well. Only making fighting posts will get a warning.

3) No cut-and-paste bios. Seriously. I've seen a couple of people here use nearly the exact same character, with minor details altered for each RP. Don't do it.

4) No using powers in street clothes. The police don’t really like mutants, y’know.

5) Don’t copy another person’s power, or do one that’s too close to theirs.

His ears shoot up and point slightly like an elf, which earned him thousands of embarrassing. He has bright green, sparkling eyes that glint in the sunlight that pierce into you, sizing you up and calculating your movements, detecting strengths and weaknesses. His nose shoots down but stops a little bit near the mouth, as if fearing of leaving it's triangular prison. His mouth has a tinted smile to it, as if he finds anything around him amusing and joyful, usually with a lighted and burning cigarette shoved in it in an awkward angle. He has a light round beard that curved up around his cheeks and ends under his nose in a bright yellow formation. His build is thin yet attractive at the same time. His body slowly slopes down under broad shoulders and a relaxed, laid back neck. The shoulders branch off into two muscular arms, with occasional scars and bruises at random angles from numerous bar and street fights. His legs are thin yet contain muscle good enough to perform a jaw cracking kick, and they can run good enough, too.

Outfit (Real): Under Greg's matted and misshaped hair is a bright red headband with a series of white Jolly Rogers dotted across. He wears a light turquoise T-shirt covered in all but the middle but a small travelling coat. His legs are covered by baggy, worn out and stained jeans that creep over his surprisingly clean pitch black shoes.

Outfit (Alias): As his alias, Greg doesn't have any real clothes on- or anything else. The manipulated and super-heated particles that decompose and then compose all over his system jet across his body almost at the speed of light, giving the illusion of a bright and extremely hot turquoise aura manifesting itself over his entire being. This light can be dulled and brightened depending on the amount of energy reformation coursing through his system, such as when he's zapping an enemy with a low level ray his light is not that bright, but when he's executing a full level assault the light will be blinding.

Personality: Greg seems cheery, happy go-lucky and brash and arrogant on the exterior of his self, but inside all of his actions have purpose, perfected and tuned to form a plan for each and every scenario. He has a tough and cold inside that he disguises with his arrogance and brash behaviour, and usually closely studies his fellows before making friends with him. He has a deep dislike for being chained down and trapped, and enjoys the freeness of the open streets and parks of which he lived. As such, he dislikes the enclosure and seeming "help-fullness" of the police and government and enclosing rules.

Power Name: Mental Particles

Power Description: Greg is a living pillar of swirling particles, entering his body and leaving it at random. His body can attract and detract particle energy and decompose it, and then compose it again in another source on his body. As such, he can rearrange the particles and atoms around him at will. When he puts his mental safeguards down, though, this becomes even more apparent as the process becomes suddenly visible in his flaming turquoise aura. As such, he can "fly" through the air by rearranging nearby oxygen atoms into a form he can successfully commute through, and rearranging the atoms back into their original form almost as fast as the speed of light. Though, staying in this seemingly corporeal state in a long period of time is not a good idea, as the particle acceleration becomes more powerful and eventually decompose the very particles of the host and reform them in any single point in the universe. This can also happen when attempting to reform the particles at a more accelerated and profound rate, and the aforementioned event will also occur. With this particle reformation, however, Greg can easily reform particles and decompose them at a sudden location within eyesight, taking the appearance of "lightning bolts" as the energy is transferred from one point to another. As such, being trapped between this is not a preferable thing to do.

He isn’t incredibly developed, physically, but has a swimmer’s body, which is from general exercise that he gets. He likes to keep himself clean, too, showering nearly everyday.

Outfit (Real): Cody normally wears rather plain clothes; an old gray hoody and jeans and a pair of white running sneakers. He doesn’t put a major emphasis on getting dressed up for any occasion, really.

Personality: Cody’s playful, and easy to get along with. He’s fond of playing pranks on people to get their attention, but doesn’t hesitate to run away from. It’s rather difficult to get mad at him, and vice-versa; he doesn’t get angry very often, preferring to just brush off anything that’d offend him. However, if you do manage to crack him, he will go after you with a vengeance, deviating from his normal nice-boy personality. This is where Railgun will usually show his head, and will not play nice. You have been warned.

Power Description: Cody can instantaneously control the speed and direction of any inanimate object by touching it with his hands or feet. This means that he can quite literally slap bullets away from him, and stop a speeding car by kicking it. He can also use the power to "fly", by throwing a snowboard into the air and jumping on it. However, there are three major weaknesses. Firstly, Cody can't change an object's vector if he can’t touch it, which prevents stuff like air or water from being manipulated. Secondly, the object can only go straight, or accelerate at a constant speed; to change the vector, he has to touch it again. Thirdly, the object must previously be in movement; he can't change an object's vector if it has none.

Alignment: Chaotic Good. He's only looking out for himself, for the most part, but doesn't like tyranny or other bad stuff.

His Silver hair rushes down, & he keeps it up by Gelling it to the back of the head(Where the small hair, & where the ponytails usually on a Girl are). His blue eyes look as blue as the Ocean, while a little more on the blue as the sky side.

Physical Appearance(Alias): Again a slim body; but is more like a Spiky-haired Beat from TWEWY. His Blonde hair is as Yellow(Or blonde; they're pretty much the same) as the sun, & Spiked up. His red eyes are like the Red in a Desert Sunset, but also in a place in the iris, Red as a fire.

Outfit(Real): He really wants to reveal himself, but he closely resembles Sub-Zero, so he HAS to hide in this Organzation XIII-style Cloak.

Outfit(Alias): What you would normally find on the beach in the Summer. A gray shirt, which brightens the color of his blue with Yellow Palmtrees Bermuda button shirt, though he prefers it un-buttoned. And has a similar, but switch the colors, Bermuda shorts.

Personality: Christian's usually Calm & Quiet. He though says things usually when they are important. He sometimes mumbles & curses under his breath when he really ticked off, & slams his hand on his head when somebody has a stupid idea or he says something & someone says something that's nothing related to what he says.

Power Description: His powers were caused after "The Radius" fell to the ground, in his sight. He got close, & a Radioactive part got onto his DNA He uses Ice & Electric powers. His strengths: Speed in Electric, Power in Ice. The Drawbacks: Slower in Ice Form, Weaker in Electric. He can create anything related to Ice & or Electric(Hailstorm, Thunderstorm, etc), & can manipulate them to his own needs.

RP Sample: Christian was running from the Darkness that was surrounding the city. "Crap. I just wish that this will be all over." Christian said, running from the darkness. "I know this will be all over soon." Christian yelled, getting swallowed up. Christian wakes up from this dream, him being happy that wasn't here.

 

Christian, after getting to school, finds a Crystal. "Weird Crystal. Wonder what it's for." Christian said, putting the Crystal in his pocket. He runs to his Science 1st period, where they are studying Crystals. "What's this?" Christian asks. "WOAH. That's a small piece of the Hope Diamond. It's extrodinary that you found this." His teacher said, giving him the crystal. He adds, "That is worth over $2,000, just this ONE PIECE."

 

Later, Christian experiments the Crystal more. "It can be used as an alternative fuel; But I rather not. It would be wasting a Crystal worth LOTS of cash!" Christian yells, smiling. After studying the Crystal, he looked up "Hope Diamond" & found out why the Diamond was split into 100 pieces: To keep theives from getting the Diamonds. He looks up the pieces still in the Cave. Only the Core, the one with the most Value, was kept. Christian didn't know why, but at least he knows where the Core is...

Crumpled heaps of indistinguishable rubbish cluttered and rushed through the streets as if running from an imaginary enemy, and then were clumped across the sides of the brown and grimy buildings that bunched up against eachother, revealing thousands of back alleys filled with unfortunate men and people of questionable legitimacy. A trash can lay overturned in the sidewalk, a half starved cat hungrily ripping through the contents desperately. Gregory Wolfgang let out a slim smile, like he always does, and lit a cigarette as his black and well shined shoes tapped against the cracked and littered sidewalk. His head turn and he nodded, satisfied, and looked at his destination.

 

Tim's Grocer wasn't exactly one of the most legitimate of businesses around, but the shopkeep was a good guy who really only wanted to pay the bills. His back alley and lot was crowded with the stench of drug dealers and gang wars, but nothing that bad. Greg took a long drag on his cigarette, a cloud of smoke wooshing out of his mouth, and he stepped into the grocer. Nodded friendly to the grocer, Greg turned his head into the eyes of two not so good looking hoods. Their coats were heavy and they wore long baseball caps that obscured their eyes. Obviously suspicious figures. Greg nodded to them and they stepped aside.

 

Greg went straight to the back of the store, looking around the aisle of drinks until he finally smiled and opened the cooler. Out of it he procured a six pack of drinks and headed to the aisle. He didn't have an ID card, but Tim knew him well enough to give him beer anyway. When he turned around the aisle, he was given a slight shock, but not that much. He had pretty much been expecting this. One of the hoods were pointing a gun straight into Tim's head, and when the other one spotting me he punched me in the gut and while I was on the ground pointed his gun straight in my eyes.

 

"DON'T F***ING MOVE!" The hood roared. The gun was quivering and the hood was shivering, straining hard to point the gun at my head and tried to look cool. Greg grinned and took another drag of his cigarette.

 

Which rewarding him with a quick smack over the head with the hood's gun Greg then crumpled to the ground, with a splitting headache.

 

The other hood cussed out the younger one, with cash register in hand. "God damn it, Mikey, stop sh***ing around! Let's get the hell out of here!"

 

They then booked it out of their, jumping into a wrecked purple Toyota and tore off. Greg sighed, and picked up the six pack of beer, putting it in front of Tim's desk. "Hold this for me a mo?" the teen requested.

 

"U-Um... yes?" quivered the grocer. He barely spoke the word when Greg was gone.

Physical Appearance: Hair is mostly spiky, but not too much. His hair is a goldenrod yellow. His right eye is ruby and his left is sapphire. He has a long battle scar by his right eye. His nose is just a little bended to the left. His ears are as pointy as an elf. His skin is lightly tanned. He has a healthy fighters body. One of his arms is bent back a little. His right leg has a light skull mark.

 

Outfit (Real): A light blue shirt with yellow buttons going down starting from the neck and ending in the abdomen. His shirt ends a little bit after the buttons end. His pants is a dark blue color which is extended in the back all the way to the heel. His shoes is a pure black color. He wears earthen brown gloves, with hoops just under his wrist.

 

Outfit (Alias): All his clothes he wears as an alias is a blood red color. He has a long sleeved shirt with black buttons that starts from his torso to his pelvis. His shirt starts from his neck line and ends a little lower in the pelvis. His pants is very similar to his normal pants, although his mark is shown. His gloves are extended under his sleeve. His shoes are the same as his normal shoes, although the color is different.

 

Personality: When he's doing nothing, he's in a calm and normal mood. But, when he is on a mission or anything of the sort, his mood is the opposite as he becomes short tempered and hot headed.

 

Power Name: Radiation Puppetry

 

Power Description: By using unrecordable heights of radiation, he can use it to manipulate anything or anyone like making them saying what he wants them to say or make it do anything he wants them to do. The drawback is that he cannot use anything that can still live because the levels of radiation will mess the system up, so he can only do it when the object is dead. If he uses it on something that lives, he cannot use the object after it dies because the radiation that's emitting of the object will create a safeguard that will protect against any other radiation. Also, he can get any information by using his power.

 

Alignment: Chaotic Evil

 

RP Sample: Finishing off things, he kicked a thug on the nose. He looked at the mutilated field while saying, "Worst thing to do was face me." He fought off 13 thugs with the leader. Each body didn't look human anymore. The last thug he killed attempted to kill him with a gun, but he was too slow. A gaping hole was from the area where he kicked. All the blood stains from the fight was hidden from his shirt, although some blotches of red was on his black buttons and his exposed leg. By observation, Valkner made a suggestion that the only one he can get information from is the leader. He raised his hand, starting to glow with radiation. Kicking the door, Valkner made a remarkable entrance. The flung door crushed 3 bystanders trying to get an exchange. "Get down and nobody gets hurt." Apparently, nobody noticed him. "Fine." He started mutilating every citizen in the bank. The beautiful floors became a shelter of blood. Each wall, each floor, each ceiling was smeared with a dark red color. Now, the survivors started to follow his orders. Only the workers and a feared mother with her child survived. Their father was caught in the massacre as he tried to kill him. "Show me the vault", he ordered with a shout of demand. "Y-y-yy-yyyes." A tone of fear came from the worker, wishing she wouldn't get ripped apart like the other victims of the bloody scene. Showing the vault, Valkner used the code he got from the leader. He opened a sack and transferred the contents into the bag. He ran away before the policed arrived. Amazingly, the policemen didn't catch him when he escaped. "Accomplished," he said when he was running with masterful speed.[/align]
