THough I see your point with the first card, explain how the second is over powered? Once a monster with one of the listed attributes is on the field, the card gets destroyed. Seems like a fair trade to me.

Simple. If your opponent has, for example, a water monster, you destroy it and you don't get destroyed at the end phase. You opponent summons an earth monster, you destroy it in your turn, and just keep doing that until you win or summon a powerful monster. It would be better if it is destroyed during either player's end phase.
