Crimson Souls is a fantasy fan fiction which is modern, but it has stuff like magic, it's set in the future (2316 to be exact), etc. I don’t know how long this will be, so don’t get your hopes up for a lot. Oh, and if you’re wondering why there is no Prologue… Chapter 1 is technically the Prologue. I can make a Prologue, but only if so many people want one.

 

Note: OK, so loads of people are probably going to start getting mouthy just because the story isn't in one big block, but quite frankly, I don't like that. I think it looks messy, and then I get confused when I'm re-reading it, so live with it.

Appearance: Dark brown hair, hazel eyes, average height/weight and has a scar across his right eye.

Personality: Trustworthy, humorous, light-tempered, vein.

Bio: Dan is one of Diableos’ best and most trusted friends, not to mention one of the funniest people ever known. He’s easily angered, but he also uses that to scare people for a laugh, which does get on their nerves, but everyone laughs along.

Appearance: Black hair, brown eyes, slightly taller than average, slightly bulky.

Bio: Vasar is one of the best swordsmen in the land and has become famous for it. He’s the type of person you want as a friend and you want on your side when things start to get rough.

Diableos was sitting on the backseat of a bus. The bus stopped after a few minutes of travelling, and then his friend Dan came on to the bus, paid the fare, then he walked along the bus to the backseats.

“Hey. Leos, how y’ been man?”

Diableos turned to him, and then turned back.

“I’ve been better…”

Dan sat down next to him.

“Yo, man, wha’s wrong wit’chu?”

“Eh, it’s nothing. I’m just tired, that’s all.”

“Alright man, whatever you say.”

Diableos closed his eyes and started to think.

“[Why can I not forget it…? Why do I have to suffer like this…? Why do I have to remember it above everything else…? Why…]”

“Did you really think that I would let you live… how foolish!”

“But we have to-“

“I don’t care about your situation!”

Diableos just turned away.

“Both you and Vasar deserve to die for what you’ll do!”

Vasar and Diableos both looked puzzled.

“What do you mean we will do?”

“Insolent fools. If I kill you here, now, in this time, it will prevent her from dying.”

Again, Diableos looked puzzled.

“Hold on a second. Save who… and did you say her?”

The mysterious man rolled his eyes.

“Yes, I did. You got wax in your ears? And you know her very well… Both of you do.”

Diableos was confused and couldn’t speak anymore.

“… What?”

“Ugh. Idiots! If I kill you both, then nobody will stand in my way to kill the traitor!”

“What traitor? What are you talking about? And what is it with you and this ‘killing us’ bullshit? Give it a rest will you?”

The man growled, and then hit Vasar in the face.

“Silence…”

 

The man drew his sword.

“Did it ever occur to you two that being so ‘heroic’ would make you oblivious to the actions of people close to you?”

“What are you getting at…?”

The man started walking around Vasar.

“I’m saying that what if you trust everyone you know and love too much and they betray you? …It’s exactly what’s going to happen. Whether I kill you two or not, it will happen… and I’ll use my magic to keep myself alive to stop it.”

“Why would you need magic to keep yourself alive just because you want to kill us and save this person?”

“Oh… it will all become clear Diableos… in time… when you change, you will understand.”

“What… What are you babbling on about?”

The man sighed.

“It no longer matters… I said you will find out and that is that. And now, time to finish what I started here.”

The man raised his sword, and then walked closer to Vasar.

“Do you have any final words, scum?”

 

Vasar was about to reply, when the ceiling collapsed and tons of concrete rained down on them. Diableos drowned in a sea on concrete, while the man used magic to stop himself and Vasar getting harmed.

“NO, DIABLEOS!”

“Shut up, time to die, Vasar.”

The man lunged at Vasar, stabbing him in the heart while lifting him up with his sword, and after holding him in place for several seconds. He withdrew his sword from Vasar and let him fall into a pool of blood.

“How pathetic...”

The man chanted a few words and was gone in a flash.

“V-Vas… I-I… prom… I-I… will… avenge… ugh.”

The storyline is just... E.P.I.C if I do say so myself, and so is the ending. [Yes, I know pretty much exactly how it's gonna go down].
