Stigma_Horrizone Posted April 28, 2009 Report Share Posted April 28, 2009 This fic is a project that I wrote during my school times, I hope you'll like it 4000 years ago, A group of six humans, known to all as Innovators, which is chosen by the gods of all six arrtibutes, the Origin monsters and their henchmens, has battled against the henchmens of the Zakaria Tribe, a group of humans that can only be eliminated through duels, sealing them within the Mayan temples, 4000 years after that battle, the seal is loose, and it will eventualy break, so it's up to the new generations of Innovators to reseal them before the time's up. Anyways, I hope you liked the prologue and the story Future plans: Yugioh Fighting Edge(FE) Book 1: Call of Darkness(16 chapters) Book 2: Strike of the Sacred Soul(12 chapters) Book 3: The True Self(14 chapters) Book 4: Castle of Demons vs Perfect Galaxy(10 chapters) Book 5: The summoning of the 6 Sacred Cards(15 chapters) Special#1: Yugioh FE X DF, crossover.(5 chapter only) Book 6: Tournament spirit. (16 chapters) Yugioh Ignition: Book 1:WRGP Chaos(21 chapters) Book 2:Darkness Revivied(16 chapters) [spoiler=Prologue] Duel monster cards, most think that's just a normal child's game, but it's more than that, when these cards, used by peoples who appreiciate dueling, called duelists, will release a power that a few can achieve. Duelists aim to be the strongest, seeing eachother as enemies, dueling with eachother just to get onto a new level, to be the Duel King!! Important notice: Some cards in the game will have their Anime/Manga effects. Some Manga/Anime only card will included. The real world Ban list doesn't exist in this fic. This fic might contain some of the 5D's, GX or Original series characters. This Fic takes place along with 5D's timeline. [spoiler=Calling forth] Max It was a normal summer, my friends and I are just playing Duel Monsters cards, nothing's too special. Beep,beep.... the sound of my alarm clock passed through my ears as I was still on my bed. I'm Max, I have Reddish hair and blue eyes. I quickly bathed, have breakfast and head to the computer, nothing is interesting on the internet, until I saw a new message on my e-mail. "Dear duelist, you have been invited to test a deck which we excavated, if you are the chosen one, come here and duel me with the deck. Seto Kaiba" I immedately rushed to Kaibacorp, New York, which that deck is being tested. My friends are there too, they are Joey, Christ and Ken. We go in the lobby, several duelists are examining the duel, some sighed, and one was dueling, he's Alex, a childhood friend of mine. Alex I'm Alex, I'm 14, I have Red eyes and Dark brown hair.(1300 LP) "I summon Junk Synchron!!" I declared. A small monster, about half my height, rose beside me. (ATK 1300) "His effects," I went on " I can summon a level 2 or lower monster from my grave! I choose 'Dark Soul Zombie-Spider'!" Another monster, a 6 legged creature with a transparent brain appeared. "I now synch them up to summon Junk warrior, and attack your facedown." Both my monster merged into a beam of light, opening a portal for another creature, a warrior with purple armor, he charged his fist, leap into tha air and thrust himself into Kaiba's facedown.(ATK 2300) "You've destroyed Morphing Jar, which is flipped open when you attacked, now we each ditch our hand and draw 5 cards." says Kaiba(3000 LP). Lucky for me, I don't have any cards in my hand, I drew 5 cards, most are unknown by me. "I set a card to end my turn." I continued. "My turn, Draw!" Kaiba declared, when he laid eyes on the card he drew, a wicked smirk cut throuch his face. I think I might be dead, and I'm right! "Polymerization,"said Kaiba, showing me the card "Fusing two blue eyes together to summon 'Blue Eyes Twin Dragon! Attack, Double Burst Stream!!!"(ATK 3800) I tried to counter with my facedown, but I was stunned.(LP 1300+2300-3800=0) Max I cannot believe my eyes, Alex lost......... He stepped down the arena, I walk towards him, but before I reach him my name was called, I stepped up the arena, shuffled the deck, ready to duel. (I haven't make all the cards in this fic, but I'll try to make them) [spoiler=Chapter 2 Test Drive] I drew my opening hand, examined them. "You'll make the first move." says Kaiba.(Both 4000 LP) Kaiba have dueled with this deck several times before, he must've known most of this deck's strategys. I took a deep breath and drew my card slowly. My hand contains, Dark Soul Dragon, Dark Soul Assasin, Pot of Greed, Junk Synchron, Mystical Space Typhoon and Koumori Dragon. "I activate good ol' 'Pot of Greed' drawing 2 cards, next, Koumori Dragon, in attack!" I said. a black, bat-like dragon appeared with razor sharp teeth, a pair of wings with 2 spikes and yellow eyes. (ATK 1500|DEF 1200) "That thing dosen't even stand a chance againsting me." mocked Kaiba, with an arrogant tone. "I don't care, I'll set 2 cards ending my turn." I replied. "It's my turn!" says Kaiba, as he swipe the top card of his deck, he smirked when he sees it."Activate, Double summon!" There might be a good chance he's using this for a Blue Eyes. Good thing I set Shrink for a facedown. a thought flashed through my head, but I didn't say a thing. "Summon Light Eggify." Kaiba continued " and use it as a tribute for Blue Eyes!" My guess was correct, as I thought. In a beam of white light the dragon emerged, letting it’s signature roar that can be heard almost 8 miles away (ATK: 3000). "Attack 'Koumori Dragon', Burst stream of Destruction!" ‘Blue-Eyes’ inhaled, and then exhaled a stream of light, showering my 'Koumori Dragon' with it. "Not so fast, "I said " The spell Shrink, reducing your monster's attack by half. 'Koumori Dragon' attack with Darkened Blaze." (Blue Eyes: 3000/2=1500 vs Koumori Dragon: 1500) My dragon inhaled and released a stream of dark fire into 'Blue Eyes White Dragon's' attack, both attack met, resulting an explosion that took both our monsters with it. "You're just lucky. I set a card to end my turn." declared Kaiba. "My turn, Draw, I activate my facedown, 'Call of the Haunted' to call 'Koumori Dragon' back." The blackish dragon came back in wisps of purple smoke. "And activate Darkened Soul, allowing me to special summon a level 4 or lower Dark soul monster onto the field, I choose Dark Soul Skull-Shredder!" I went on "I also summon Dark soul Assasin, giving me more defense, and finaly the spell Darkened Heart, changing all Dark attribute monsters into Dark Soul Monsters" [spoiler=effects]This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:- Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 Dark Soul monster from your hand or from either player's Graveyard. When this card is removed from the field, destroy all Dark Soul monsters Special Summoned by this effect. "And now, I tribute all 3 monsters to summon Dark Soul Dragon!!!" I declared. My 3 monsters dissapeared in wisps of black smoke, which reformed into a blackish dragon, with a skeletal torso and red eyes. (ATK: 2200) "That's new." says Kaiba. "I also activate Mystical Space Typhoon, taking your facedown away. Kaiba's facedown was tore by ripples of wind. "Dark soul Dragon also gains 500 ATK for each dark monster in my grave!Direct Attack, Darkness Purisuit!" I finaly declared. 'Dark soul Dragon' bursted into multiple streams of dark energy, engulfing Kaiba in it. "Dammit" Said kaiba, filled with anger. (4000-2200-1500= 300) "I end my turn, with a facedown" "My turn, Draw!" Kaiba declared " This shall be fun." "Mm-hm" I agreed [spoiler=Card of the Day, Dark soul Dragon][spoiler=effects]This Monster cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card can only be special summoned by tributing 3 "Dark Soul" monsters on your field. When this card destroys an opponent's monster, you can remove from play 1 DARK monster from your Graveyard to draw 1 card. This card gains 500 ATK for each DARK monster in your Graveyard. [spoiler=Chapter 3 Trumph Card] About 10 minutes past, and I've reduced Kaiba's LP to 300, I couldn't tell it this is luck or is it this deck's true power. Kaiba drew his card, and show it to me. "Activate!" he declared "'Dragon's mirror', to summon 'Blue eyes ultimate Dragon', I also summon 'D.D Warrior Lady'." In a beam of light the destroyed dragon stand again, along with the other 2 of his type, a blinding light shine from them, turning them into a three headed version of blue eyes.(ATK 4500) Another monster, an attractive lady in silver jumpsuit appeared beside the dragon.(ATK 1500) "Attack!" Kaiba continued "Triple Burst Stream!" The legendary Dragon inhaled, both his head released orbs of pure light energy, which engulfed my dragon. "This is really fun." I said, with a smile. (LP 4000+3700-4500=3200) "Next, I activate Megamorph, doubling 'D.D Warrior Lady's' ATK when I have less LP then you!(ATK 1500 X 2 = 3000) Attack, Dimension Rift Blade" Kaiba declared, ignoring my talk. D.D Warrior Lady's sword extended twice as long as before, she raised it up and slashed it down. "I end my turn, with 2 facedowns." Kaiba said. I drew my card saying" You've make a mistake for destroying my dragon, because when there's 4 Dark attributed cards in the grave, I can special summon this card from my hand." "What the?" Kaiba replied curiously. "Special summon, 'Saint Dark soul Dragonic Knight'! Also, Your second mistake now I have less LP than you, so your 'Warrior Lady's' ATK falls " I continued. (Warrior lady: 1500/2=750) A humanoid figure appeared, with a dragon head for it's right arm, the dragon's horn extended into a sword, he also has mechanical wings, his left arm extended into a circular shield. The dragon on his right arm roared loudly.(ATK 2800) "I also activate the spell 'Giant trunade' blowing all our spells back to our hand. Next the field spell, Cavern of Dwelling Darkness, for each Level 4 or lower Dark soul in my grave, my monster gets a 300 attack boost!" I went on. Gusts of wind blew our facedowns away.The scene around us changed, stalagmites and stalagtities grown from the roof and the ground, several crystal lit up, with the spirit of my destroyed monster in them. My 'Knight' engulfed himself in white light, the spirits of my monster got drawn into it, giving him a boost. (ATK 2800+300 x 2=3100) "Attack Warrior Lady, Colasping Chaos!" I finaly said. The 'Knight' thrust himself foreward, raising his sword towards 'Warrior Lady' and shot a beam of Light and Darkness from it. Kaiba I was amazed by what that kid can do, energy showered my entire field, in an explosion, my 'Warrior Lady' is destroyed, along with my Life Point.(300+750-3100=0) Max I can't believe I defeated Kaiba! "That deck hs choose you to be it's master after all." said Kaiba "Each duelist can't draw any cards you drew, even those who drew until 0 cards in the deck." I grabbed the deck and cycled back home. When I'm back home, I lay my new cards on the floor, examined them, I originaly wanted to change the deck a bit, but I can't find even a weakness from it. "Hey bro, sweet cards you've got." My little brother, Mark said, here's a letter for you. I opened the letter, it reads : Dear duelist, You've been invited to the 2nd Fortune Cup tournament hosted in Neo Domino City. Form a team of 4 and come here to Neo Domino. Tickets are reserved. Rex Goodwin." The next day, My friends and I meet at the local mall. "Guys, want to participate?" I said holding the letter. "Sure." They all agreed. We cheered all days and played a few example games, just to know eachother's strategy better. It's ok I suppose. I'd say the chapters were a tad too short, but I know there are plenty on YCM who prefer it that way, so keep that I'd say. Oh, and the chapter 3 name seems a bit off, Is it meant to be "Trump" card or "Triumph" card? Still, it's an OK story, and I'd like to see what happens in the fortune cup. Wish you luck! The flight lasted 3 days, I tried to sleep in the plane, but something tells me this tournament is a plot to get something from the contestants. "Uhh, 2 sleepless night." I yawned. We walked out of the airport, Rex's car arrived just as we stepped out. "Max 'Mike' Gordon" said Rex "I suppose these are your teammates." I nodded. We were sent to the hotel, we each get into our rooms, tidy up our luggage and get down to the lobby. Rex was there, he invited me to his office. When we arrived, I noticed a red Duel Runner which is kinda familliar. I entered the office, a round table is located at the middle of the office. Yusei, Jaden was talking there, and robed duelist that is remaining silent all the time. "Well competitors, meet your newest opponent." says Rex while introducing me. After some talking, Rex send me back to the hotel. When I'm back, a normal duel is occuring between Christ and a kid, about 11 years old. Christ has 3200 LP, 3 cards on his hand, 2 facedowns and a Turbulence Dragon (ATK 1400 ) on his field, he uses mostly fire, water and wind in his deck. Meanwhile, the kid has 2100 LP ,4 cards in his hand 3 Goat tokens and a Panther Warrior equipped with Axe of Despair.(ATK 3000) "My turn." says Christ, he drew his card and smirked, I activate Pot of greed, Drawing 2 cards, next, the card 'Tribute to the doomed, to destroy your 'Panther' at the cost of one card in my hand." The kid has nothing to chain with that card, so he sends his 'Panther Warrior' to the grave. "Next, the equip spells," continued "Axe of Despair and Fairy Meteor Crush, giving my Dragon piercing ability and 1000 boost, I attack your Goat token, leaving you 0 LP." The boy stuttered "No......no"(0 LP) "Nice combos." I complimented, but I gave him a fright instead. "Max, when did you comeback?" he asked. "Just now, I went of with Rex to know the rules of the tournament." I replied. I said the rules to them. "Man, I wish the day would come soon...." said Joey after what I said. "Tommorow's the day, happy?" I replied to what Joey said. She silenced for a while before awnsering, but Ken, Christ and I has already left the lobby. "Damn them." Joey said angrily. [spoiler=Chapter 5 Duel on ] The next day Max and the team went to the Fortune Cup arena, it was the arena that Yusei and Jack dueled for the title of the King. There are four teams, mine, Yusei's who has Crow, Jack and Leo on it. Jaden's with Syrus, Bastion and Alexis in his team, The hooded duelist too, with more hooded duelist on his team. "Welcome duelists!" said the MC, a man with a freakish hairstyle. All 4 teams stepped into the arena, the spectators cheered loudly and excitingly. "Lets select the first pair of dueling teams!" MC continued, he pressed a red button on the stage, the screen started to show 4 Duel monster cards, each with the team leader's name and portrait on it, they piled into a deck and shuffled randomly, to cards then poped up, one is Yusei's team, the other one is my team. Both our teams stepped on a platform, which brings us to a 3 floor high arena. 2 duelist's box was at either side, a large screen is below us, which is showing our status, and our duel. Christ stepped up, along with Leo, from the opposing team. They both introduced themself to eachother, and activated their duel disks. The computer randomly selected Christ to start. (Both 2000) Christ drew his card, with a confident smile,"Activate, Polymerization, fusing two 'Vortex Dragons' into my favorite card, 'Turbulence Dragon!" Christ The hologram of Polymerization card appeared, forming a spiral that sucked my two dragons in, a white beam flashed from it, after it dissapears, an emerald-skinned dragon, with blue eyes, and tremendously large wings.(ATK 1400) "I end my turn, with 2 facedowns." I said. "My turn, Draw!" said Leo " I summon 'Morphtrontic Vedion', as a starter!" A video-camera appeared from a portal, he changed, into a humanoid form.(ATK 1000) "I equip it with 'Morphrtrontic cord', and his effect kicks in-It gains 800 for an equip card on it." continued Leo. Vedion's arm increased in size as a wire attach from his torso to his arm. "Attack his 'Turbulance Dragon'! " Leo commanded "Fist of forever!" Leo's monster rushed foreward, gathering energy on his larger arm, it leapt and landed on my dragon, but it was repeled by an invisible force. "Activate!" I declared "Negate attack!" "I set a card to end my turn!" says Leo. "My turn then," I said "draw!! I summon, 'Burning Warrior-Vorg' in attack !" My monster, a red armor-clad warrior with two swords on both his arms, engulfed in a firery aura.(ATK 1300) "Also, the equip spell, Axe of despair!" I continued "Attack Vedion, X-burn Slash!" My 'Warrior's' swords grew larger into axes, which is also engulfed in flames, he ran forward, crossed his axes when striking Vedion, smashing him into pixals. "Urgh...."(Leo: 2000+1800-2300=1500) "Next, My 'Vorg' inflicts damage equal to the destroyed monster's level times 100!!" I said " And a direct attack from Turbulance dragon ends it!!" Vorg absorbed the pixals of Vedion, they transformed into 4 fireballs, hitting Leo one after another, my dragon, on the other hand, flapped his wings, summoning tornadoes that blew the rest of Leo's lifepoint away .(Leo: 1500-400-1400=0) "I set two cards, ending my turn." I declared. Jack stood up to replace Leo's place, I know some of his strategies, which I've thought of plans to counter. "Duel!" Jack shouted, acticating his Duel Disk.(LP 2000) "Duel!" Jack declared, he drew his cards, "Summon, Cyber Dragon!" A white mechanical dragon appeared, about the length of 2 football fields.(ATK 2100) "What!" I gasped "It's level 5!" Before Jack could respond, Max said "Cyber dragon can be special-summoned when the owner has no monster and the opponent controls a monster." "I'm not done yet!" said Jack, "I also summon Dark Resonator!" A little magician monster, half the size of Cyber Dragon's head appeared beside Jack.(ATK 1300) "I will now synch them up, The ruler's heartbeats will now file through here! Take witness to its creation-shaking power! Synchro Summon! My very soul, Red Dragon Archfiend!" Jack continued. The two monsters transformed into pillars of light, they both merged and opened a portal for the dragon to fly in, a red dragon, flames in his hands. (ATK 3000) The crowd cheered, while I gasped. "Attack Vorg, Absolute Power Force!" More intense fire erupted from Jack's Dragon's arm, it flew forward, hitting Vorg straight, the explosion from the attack took away my lifepoints.(Christ LP: 2000+2300-3000=1700) "I end my turn, with a facedown." says Jack. I pulled a card from my deck. Hope this isn't something crapish.I laid my eyes on my new card, one that can strike Jack down. "Activate!" I said "From my hand, the spell Tribute to the doomed!" I declared, sending one card to the grave while I'm at it. Mummy bandages erupt from the ground, wrapping 'Archfiend' and pulling him into the ground. "Not so fast!" Jack declared, the trap card, 'Assault mode activate'!!" Red Dragon Archfiend was wreath in red light, his body grew larger and taller, his wings grew bigger, the red light finaly gathers in 'Archfiend's torso, in the form of a red crystal.(ATK 3500) "In that case, I normal summon, Savage Warrior-Gonta!" An indian warrior, with a metal lance on his right arm and a thruster attached on his extra-large left arm.(ATK 2000) "I also equip him with another 2 copies of Axe of despair." I continued. Gonta's lance morphed into an axe, another one on his left arm.(ATK 4000) "Gonta, Attack 'Archfiend' , Axe Boomerang!" Gonta threw both his axes, both sliced 'Archfiend', the dragon let out a screeching roar before being diced.
