Master Hyperion
And no, not FF7 and up, but the good old classics on the NES and SNES. I played the GBA version of FF1, FF2, FF4 and the SNES version of FF6 and I got to say, I quite enjoyed it, although FF1 felt a bit too easy for my taste and FF2 was just terrible due it's "level up" system. And with FF2 I mean FF2 Japan orginally for the NES, not to be confused with FF2 USA for the SNES.Gotta love the screwed up names.

Cyber Altair
I played 4 and 6 but never finished them or enjoyed the story =P Are they all like inter-connected or what?
Phantom Roxas
From I've heard, 1 is far too bland, I'm going to go with Father Wolf's opinion on 2, despite never playing it, 3 looks boring, but then FFIV... I played 4 and 6 but never finished them or enjoyed the story =P Are they all like inter-connected or what? No, none of the games in the main series are related story-wise, but the series as a whole does have many recurring elements. However, several games can exist as their own series, particularly 4, obviously 7, 10, and most recently, 12 The closest there is to being inter-connected is Dissidia, which is just of cross-over fighting game. And how did you not enjoy 4's story? 4 was awesome! It's also the only one I have that I've beaten, despite being the third one I bought. 5 doesn't seem too interesting, but I do intend to get 6 once it's remade. Cyber Altair
I never loved RPG's based on attack button nor RPG at that time so it was a boring experience to me =P
Sanagi
i played all final fantasy games up to 12 but i beat only 1,4,5,6,8 and 9. my favorites are 1,5 and 9. the hardest final fantasy games are as far i can say 2, 4, 6 and 11. and i think 4 is still the hardest non MMO. however i played once FF1 for the NES and i had to say woah. this game is damn hard compared to the remakes of PSX and GBA. Saturn of Elemia
FF1 = Very good for its time and still addictive since you can change up the party members. Try beating the game with 4 White Mages... FF2 = GOD AWFUL! FF3 = Haven't played, but heard good things about it. FF4 = The first FF game I ever played - and my second favorite one. Has my favorite music of the FF series and a few of my favorite bosses (Rubicante and Zeromus). FF5 = Love it since it has the Job system. FF6 = Favorite FF game. It's the only FF game where the bad guy actually wins, so to speak (since he did destroy the World of Balance). It has a memorable cast with incredible and sad stories alike, a nice rumor (Shadow's dreams), cool sidequests, and lots of abilities to keep things interesting. Keera
I've played 1, 2, and 3. 1 and 2 were a little too difficult for my puny mind, 3 got boring quick, and I'm not going to try hunting down 4-6. The original 7 was okay, but I like DoC and Crisis Core better (even if I haven't played Crisis Core yet...). I never quite beat 8 all the way because I got stuck in Ultemacia's Castle. I haven't played 9, 11, or 13. I have played and beat 10 and 10-2....several times. Same with 12. I got all the way to Year 10 on the original Crystal Chronicles before the memory got corrupted. I'm working on beating CC: Ring of Fates. I didn't get very far on TA or TA2. I have played Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest for SNES, but my SNES broke...<<; .....I'm obsessed....... Sanagi
You win. i win? o.o played Final Fantasy Mystic Quest as well, however i do not count it in the final fantasy series as i don´t do this to FFX-2 (grrr i so hate this game <.<) final fantasy 9 wasn´t to bad, however way to easy (if you don´t try to beat it on low level run) but i think every FF game past 4 became way to easy since u was able to create uber characters later in game. whats the point in game if you can beat the final boss with several swings? Keera
Psh. Indeed. In FFVII, one could beat Jenova the final time by letting loose 1 Knights of the Round with a Lv. 40 character. ANY character. << That's how easy these games can get.
