How is this card?

 

Mastermind – The Limiter

Spellcaster/Effect

Level 2/Dark

0 ATK/ 0 DEF

Effect:

“This card cannot be targeted by a card your opponent controls unless it is in the same column as this card. When this card is Summoned you can remove from play 1 card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone to Special Summon 2 “Mastermind Tokens” (Spellcaster-Type/DARK/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position. No cards can be played in Columns with a “Mastermind Token” in it.”

-Field manipulation seems to be a very cool idea.

-...very ego effect >.> considering the fact that this card can be special summoned and its effect is triggered under any summoning condition. could result in a boring game >.>

- no card can be played... what about the cards that were already face down or set, can you still activate them? (consider special summon token ONLY to empty columns maybe?)

- 1st part of the effect is good, the 2nd part is meh.

This card cannot be targeted by a card your opponent controls unless it is in the same column as this card. The Battle Position of this card cannot be changed. The controller of this card cannot activate any Spell Cards during its owner's turn. The effects of all Trap Cards that are controlled by and activated by this card's controller's opponent during this its controller's turn are negated. During the end of the turn, this card is Special Summoned to an empty Monster Zone controlled by the player with more Cards in their hand. (The player can choose where to Summon if 2 or more Empty Monster Zones are available.) If it cannot be Special Summoned, place it on the top of the player's Deck.

I know >_> felt like just having a card that rapes the field. Well I got lazy with the last line =.= yea any card set in the columns can be still activated. That is what I intended.

 

First line is the same as mine >_> but w/e. What is with the third line is really wierd how you worded it. Rest of the line seems understandable.

hai ya captain, yup i am following ur line sir. so yea i though that line would be great as a common trait of "mastermind" monsters.

 

activated trap si mean like traps that have already been activated, talking about continuous and equip card.

and also any card that is activated during the turn is also negated.

42. Makes really good points. Especially on this kind of stuff. So in deeper convo, what do you suspect we should do? Field Manip, Summon Manip, Or Hand Manip (Too many hand manips already, so im stearing away from that). Im not a big fan o arch-type manip either.


You know most of those are revenge negs. Also maybe only like 12 of those are legit most of them seem stupid.

 

12 is more than half of 19. Think of it

summon mani and field mani sound good. Summon mani maybe a bit difficult to be creative tho. Hand manipulation, deck manipulation, graveyard manipu... seems doable but would really require a lot of brain juice to dig up something innovative and practical.

I had an idea earlier today:

 

Mastermind Doppleganger

Level 3 DARK Psychic

ATK ? DEF ?

This card can only be destroyed by battle with a monster in the same column as this card. The original ATK and DEF of this card are both equal to the original ATK of an opponent's monster in the same column as this card. Once per turn, you can move this card to an adjacent occupied Monster Card Zone.

 

Kinda basic, but an idea to work with - I guess...

Thanks. (I REALLY hate my keyboard sometimes). I like that this is balanced because your opponent can power up their monster and this monster won't get an additional boost.

I'll say what shouldn't be there. I don't like the rep removal, it never works. I'll say negs in order from newest to oldest.

 

1: That's OBVIOUSLY wrong. Cards go in CC, not Video Games

2: That somewhat deserves to be there. I admit it.

3: The dude flat out hates me. He was dissing on everyone and I warned him to stop or he'd be removed from the club.

4: Same as 3

5: This one (from Phantasy) said in PM he'd remove it if I removed his. I did, he didn't. Therefore, that one doesn't count.

6: Pointless from a n00b. Just read it!

7: Same as 6

8: Same as 6

9: Same as 6

10: Same as 6

11: Same as 6. For 9,10,11, I simply said he was a n00b and could use help. They both negged me hard. I tried to help, but he thought n00b was offensive......

12: He PMed me an invite to a club or forum. I said No, and he negs.

13: I negged his friend for a reason. This is basically a revenge neg.

14: I negged him for spamming. Along with many others.

15: Same as 13

16: Same as 13

17: That deserves. But I deleted 2 of those negs on the n00bs.

18: He gave no positive feedback whatsoever. He revenge negged

19: That deserves. I was mean to n00bs back then.

 

I found 3 that deserve to be there. 3 is not much. And Rep doesn't matter anyway....I should really have like 52 rep. Fine, I'm a good card maker anyway. I don't need a club to prove it. I feel slow that I just realized that >.<
