The orb was green now, and instead of ringing, it was whistling now. It was shaking violently, and the connect orb could be seen on the other side. Elena waited anxiously as the orb she was staring at (inside the cannon) turned green and began to rattle. "Come on Jo," she thought. "Reach in without fear."

[Signosis]

Jo blinked and stared at the rattling orb, then with a smirk, grabbed ahold of it.

 

The worst it could do was blow her up to pieces, but she knew that the Arranacar girl would have told her so.

[Dad]

Jo's hand slipped inside and faded through to the connected orb. Elena could see Jo's hand and reacted immediately. "Hurry Jo! reach for the other orb! Pull it through!" She was quite excited. It would be a perfect success if Jo pulled the orb through. Hopefully there would be no complications.

[Signosis]

Jo raised her eyebrows, grabbing ahold of the other orb on the other side, whilst listening to the Arranacar's shreiks of excitement. She brought the orb back to her, holding one in one hand, the other in the other hand. Staring down at them, she looked around herself, wondering what was going to happen next.

"I still want to ask you some questions before my departure Lord Kiron-sama." Mateo still needed to see if Kiron planned on killing him or not. If Kiron killed him then what would keep Jo from being the next target with her shard.

Takashi awoke to a amazingly strong Arrancar standing above him. "Whhh..hhooo...ooo are you?!"

Jo was whisked back to Sougoyku Hill, spinning along the way. She arrived with a 'pop!' in front of Kiron, who stood smiling at her. "I trust you had no trouble with the test then Jo?" He took the orbs from Jo and crushed them in his hands.

 

"Your final task will be the most challenging. It will take your every whit and ounce of might. You my dear, must take the challenge of speed. I have not introduced a strength test because the endurance test includes a strength test. If you are strong enough to survive the souls of the damned, then you are quite strong.

 

Now then, to complete the speed test, you will have a sprint across the most challenging of courses, against the fastest of the Espada," Kiron said looking up to Alexander. "Alexander! It is time for your first challenger!"

 

Kiron waved his hand over Seireitei, and bright yellow lights appeared throughout the glorious city. Turning back to Jo, he lowered his reiatsu. It appeared to be frightening the boy. "I've placed six permanent teleport orbs throughout Seireitei. Choose the fastest route among them that will get you across Seireitei and back before Alexander. If you do so, I will put you through the transformation chamber, which will initiate your initial transformation.

 

When you are ready Alexander," Kiron said nodding towards the starting line between the Sougoyku Hill posts.

 

"Now then," he began, turning towards the cowering soul before him. "I am Kiron. Lord and Master of this realm. And you will know this, and nothing more." He turned back up to Mateo, walking him further away from earshot of Jo and the others.

 

"Speak on these matters quickly Mateo. I don't want you dead before it's necessary. Though I should warn you. Dura has given me the order to do so as of Jo's trial completion." He gave an evil smile, gripping his Zanpaktou tightly, slowly leaking reiatsu.

[Signosis]

Jo blinked quickly, but that only caused her to hold her head, after Kiron had taken the orbs away from her.

 

"Oooi. I don't wanna do that again." Jo said, shaking her head.

"I trust you had no trouble with the test then Jo?"

 

"Uuuuh, no! Not at all!" Jo said, giggling nervously. She hoped that the Arranacar girl wasn't going to get punished for helping her out. Jo listened to her King, then nodded in understand. Then...Alexander showed up. She sighed defeatedly, then looked to her left hand.

 

"Oh...yeah," Jo murmured, then a grin flicked upon her lips as she slithered to the starting line. She looked to the Espada. still grinning.

 

"Let the best...," She paused, looking up to the sky. "Non-homo sapien win."

She giggled, quite ominously.

"Then do so, I just have a dying request." Mateo gripped his Zonpaktou in one hand while raise his reitsu to its peak. "Actually make it three, one is to make sure Jo doesn't die, the second is to keep the others away from this. The third..... fight me with all you got!" The Espada drew his zonpaktou and quickly Sonido'd, preparing his first attack.

[Dad]

Kiron smiled as Mateo disappeared. "Don't be so foolish Mateo. I don't want to kill you in front of your Fraccion-to-be." Kiron stood still waiting for Mateo to strike. He began thinking quickly, pondering where to bring about Mateo's end. "Hell." Kiron vanished and reappeared behind Mateo, kicking him in the back and launching him to the ground. . . or so he thought.

 

A black, fiery portal opened below them, and Kiron disappeared with Mateo into it. When things cleared, Mateo's face was covered in ash, on the ground, and Kiron hopped off of his back. Kiron stood with one hand on his Zanpaktou, waiting for Mateo to get up. "Come. We should end this quickly. I have a kingdom to run." Kiron smiled as a dark aura apparated behind him.

 

Dura was watching, invisible in the bright, fiery, darkness.

"Strike fear into their hearts, Sierpe!" Mateo's was surrounded by a massive reitsu, it was easy to see that he released his zonpaktou. After a quick flashing light the Espada had stood with two long reitsu snake like heads that was on either side of his own while his legs were replaced by a giantic reitsu tail. "Engard!" Mateo quickly had the two heads snap towards Kiron while two fangs formed in his hands, he ment bussiness.

"i don't think drawing my Zanpaktou will be necessary," he said to himself. As Mateo drew closer, the venomous snakes were spitting strongly. "I see. Wanting to play dirty Mateo?" He dodged to the left, ducking under the second snake, and separating it from it's body with a quick slash from his hands.

 

Pushing Mateo to the side with his free hand, he kicked from the wall and launched himself from the wall at amazing speed; this was not his Sonido. A glare in his eyes, Kiron stuck a sharp hand in front of him, open palmed.

"It's not that easy!" Mateo was already recovered and behind Kiron, the snake that was cut down was already reforming with great speed. "It takes alot more then simple tricks to defeat a snake!" The Espada sent the snakes to attack Kiron's front while he went to slice at the King's back, a pincer formation.

Meanwhile Takashi was dusting off his soul pants to notice that his chain was almost non-existant. //What's happening to me now.//

[Dad]

Kiron turned his hand and fired a barrage of red bala blasts behind him, turning on his back, while spinning through the air-borne snakes, attempting to avoid their bites. "You'll have to be more creative than that Mateo!" He landed on his hands, flipping upright to face Mateo's incoming attack.

 

"Be careful. Those burn." He chuckled as the bala blasts approached rapidly.

 

Meanwhile, Dura watched from a short distance, amused and awaiting his corpse-prize. "Good, good," he thought. "This should keep me entertained for some time."

The snakes engulfed the balas before they could connect. "A thing about my snakes, they can absorb Cero-like attacks." Before Mateo could say another words his snake heads seperated from his body and went to attack Kiron while the Espada simply vanished. //Two moves until checkmate....//

[Dad]

"Interesting," he said watching the snakes absorb the basic bala blasts. "Well unfortunately for you," he said as the snake heads approached. "I was expecting this." Kiron had vanished, leaving a massive quake, and spewing lava behind him, reappearing directly behind the snake heads and snatching them. He smashed them to the ground, the blood rushing from their heads.

 

Then, a snarling stinging hit him. His right arm had been pierced at the last moment. "The venom will cause a problem. I'll have to end this quickly," he said waiting for Mateo.

A hand grabbed Kiron's ankle from below and quickly tossed him into the air. When the King reached the sky Mateo quickly appeared in front of him, wrapping his tail around Kiron and spinning him around in a fast motion. The Espada then followed up with a rapid fire of slashs on the spinning King, causing venom to pour into any part that the blade connected in. "Festible of the Serpent!"

OOC: T-T I hope Dira plans on letting Mateo live if he proves himself. I was getting to like him. But I dunno what you're planning, either, so....heheh.

 

Also, I've come up with a little listy thing. Tell me if you agree with it.

 

Alexander - Fastest Espada. Most dangerous reiatsu.

Mateo - Strongest defense Espada. Most interesting skills.

Merigold - Physically strongest Espada. Dangerous apendages.

Lucas - Most skilled swordsman espada. Excellent tactician.

Elena - Trickiest espada. Most cunning.

Maurice - Most powerful (regular) cero among the Espada. Surprisingly quick.

Morillos - If he's allowed to set up, his skill is the most dangerous.

Megan - Most enduring espada, due to her released ability.

Guillermo - Nothing too special. Just well-rounded abilities.

Eric - While not the most powerful in any regard, he's the hardest to kill due to his released form.

Alexander watched in amusement as Kiron took Mateo off into the other realm for combat. "If he could only barely survive my Gran-Rey, I doubt he'll last several minutes with Kiron. Now, you." he said, turning to Jo.

 

He offered her a kind smile. "It's my policy to excercise chivalry with women. So don't worry - I won't be using any of the teleport orbs, myself. I'll just move at my normal speed there and back, and you just have to find the fastest route through teleportation, okay sweety?" he asked with a wink.

 

He then got into a crouching, ready position. "Whenever you're ready."

Lucas cursed to himself. If Mateo died... that was as bad as if Jo died. Gran was just as attached. Damn it...this was bad. At least Alexander was going to take it easy on Jo...

Shina had opted not to speak. But she was interested when the boy's dream self projected itself after passing out, although he had no clue what was going on.

 

However, it seemed as though just as quickly, he was wisked away by that arrancar she saw from earlier She had thought about pursuing...but...

 

"Shi....Sh...na. ...ke up.....wa.....p.....wake.....p.....Shina, wake up!"

 

Shina's eyes snapped wide open, her breath heavy. She looked around herself, only to find that she was back in the Urahara Shoten, still slumped against the wall where she had drifted off to sleep, Yoruichi standing over her.

 

"Lady Yoruichi? Uh....what time is it?"

[Dad]

Kiron landed on his feet, staring Mateo in the face as he slashed, opening his palm. "Tch." He reached for his Zanpaktou, and vanished out of sight. As he drew his Zanpaktou, a blast of sharp wind tossed Mateo to the ground. "Get up," Kiron said landing beside him. He sealed the mere bare part of his Zanpaktou, giving Mateo room to breathe.

 

Kiron's right hand seemed to expand, as devastating claws grew from them, wrapping around Mateo's feeble neck, tossing him against the wall. "Get up, so that I may have the plesure of knocking you back down."

 

He stared into Mateo's dark eyes, thinking. "I don't want to release my Zanpaktou here. But I shall if the boy gets unreasonable."

//sheet... at this rate I'll have to use it again....// Mateo closed his eyes while his snakes reformed. The amount of venom in Kiron's system was already pretty dangerous and the fact that the snakes kept comming back wasn't going to help that. //I just need to buy some time.... then I can end this!// The snakes launched back towards Kiron, seperating into 10 different beings of reitsu and venom.

OOC: Yes, it is a favorite of mine. I apologize. I tend to overuse things. I'll try and find another one.

 

"This is getting quite old Mateo!" Kiron once again unsheathed a portion of his Zanpaktou, blowing the snakes and beings against the walls, splattering them. "If you insist on attacking me with your pets, instead of fighting me yourself, the I have no reason to prolong your death any longer. Holding out an arm and spreading his palm, a fiery black energy formed in Kiron's hand, growing immensely large at great speeds.

 

He began to utter the words that would forever ring in Mateo's ears. "Ultimo Cero." In even greater proportions than the legendary 'Gran Rey Cero', 'Ultimo Cero' spread forth so quickly, and with so much power that the boiling heat itself began to cook. The blinding black light engulfed everything in front of Kiron so that nothing was left.
