Also I found a cheap translator on my computer did it say something like this? Every Chinese knows how to speak Mandarin!" (Actually, I was meant to say that when you type Chinese, it's still the same no matter where you are in China.) Simple for what we are talking about: Character (Symbols) remains the same in all forms of Chinese, and how they pronounce or say their words differently in each dialect.
