Otaku-sama
I believe that the farthest a foreign movie speader should do with any anime movie is have it subbed. Never should it be made live action with actors from their countries. If their people don't like it, they wouldn't like it better if the actors were changed. I hate dubs or even foreign adaptations of ANYTHING. A lot of Western horror is copied from the Japanese. They should come up with their own horror. The only problem is that Hollywood has exhausted all of their creativity and are simply remaking everything they can get their long hands on. DL
LOL! I can actually see hannah montana playing haruhi. America would go there. Someone like a grade schooler would have to play konata though. They can probably make a live-action lucky star, but it would suck. No discussion. I can't see them dying like 20 ppls' hair. .Requiem
I need to slap myself. I forgot some very good school life series I like. 1. Negima2. Hayate the Combat Butler3. Azumanga Daioh. So' date=' I guess I can say I'm a big fan of school life series.[/quote'] Hayate the Combat Butler got stupid around episode 12 and then I facepalmed when they made a second season. DL
Hayate the combat butler has a much better manga. Anime cannot capture hayate's brilliance. Manga does the facial expressions justice. Which applied to everything I read.

DL
With some. but with hayate, the manga is MUCH better. I read summaries of the episodes. I don't watch the hayate anime anymore. Stopped at episode 1.On a diferent note, I mainly like dubs cause what they're saying imprints into my mind better. With subs, I forget something they say 10 seconds after it's said, cause I'm trying to read the next sub.
Shradow
Me as well. I usually watch Dubs unless the voices are terrible.
.Requiem
Well for me it is easy to watch subs and I can remember what they say normally.
DL
Voice Acting is a proffesion I think about. I'm pretty good at voicing characters. Just one thing. I can only voice Naruto characters/ characters voiced by christopher sabat. Which also adds to I can only draw naruto characters.
Shradow
I can only voice Naruto characters/ characters voiced by christopher sabat. Hell yeah, he's awesome.
Otaku-sama
You guys watch dubs?!HEATHENS!!! Just kidding. In my opinion, the original voicing is always better than the English dub because plays on words in Japanese through use of kanji to hiragana can never carry over properly, leaving the dubbers, fan or corporate, to create crappy jokes to fill the space. It's horrible! Also some jokes like Lucky Star Tsukasa's basami kousu do not sound funny in the dub. I simply abhorr dubs.
Great Unclean One: VK
I don't like dubs unless the voice for the guy in the japanese dub doesn't sound like it's suppose to.
-Berserker-
I prefer the original voices, except sometimes, like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGWixA4Id5YAsuka's latinamerican spanish is one of the best dubs I've heard in my life. They gave her a german accent. I also prefer the latinamerican voice of Goku, it's more manly than the japanese.
DL
anything is more manly than the japanese goku's voice. A six year old could sound more manly. Seriously. Actually, I can't remeber the last time I watched a sub. Shakugan no shana episode 1, but I tried the english dub and liked it too. Before that it was hayate the combat butler 1. 99% of the time I read manga. I get to look at the facial expressions longer without pressign pause, or relive the funny moments without pressing rewind.
賢狼ホロ
The only anime where the English is better than the Japanese is Afro Samurai. Mainly because it is Samuel L. Jackson and that it was made for both languages from the start. I cannot remember when I last watched something dubbed... It was probably Japanesed-dubbed Lost or something... which was not great exactly.
DL
Naruto was better dubbed. Kakashi, Rock Lee, and shikamaru, as well as gaara have voices that suit them perfectly. Also DBZ. It has Chistopher Sabat. (who voices 3 members of the gyniu force, as well as 1/4 of the whole cast.) and any dub with christopher sabat is awesome dub. Shradow
I watch Lucky Star subbed. I think FMA had really good Dubbing. (And not just because of Armstrong... Okay, mabye a little...) Christopher Sabat voiced a crapload of DBZ (and DB and DBGT) characters... He's done...General Black, Kami, King Piccolo, Piccolo, Shenron, Yamcha, Colonel Silver, Grandpa Gohan, Korin, Mr. Popo, Turtle (the turtle on Master Roshi's island), Vegeta, Torga, Umigame, Bubbles (yes, King Kai's monkey), Burtur, Guru, Jeice, Moori, Porunga, Recoom, Zarbon, Dr. Collie, Kakuja, Zeeun, Angila, Nappa, and Adolf Hitler. (yes, that's right... He was in one of the movies or something)
Skuldur
FMA has a good dub, it's just that Al's voice annoys me.
DL
LOL! I watched that movie. Trunks and Goten were taking on the nazis! It was fun... but yeah, he does do a crapload of voices. I was like WTF! I haven't even heard some of these names!
Shradow
Why don't you like Al's voice?
Skuldur
There's just something about it that really ticks me off. I like his Japanese voice much more.
DL
His english voice is so... squeaky. In a screech kinda way. I like the opening alot, even though my favorite is probably the opening to gurren lagann or inuyasha.
Shradow
Well, he got stuck in that armor when he was like, what? 10? His voice is supposed to be squeaky. In JP, he's voiced by a female.
