DL
Is Shaman King considered mainstream? (random question)I don't think it is, but then again, I've only read the manga. (mostly)
Kira Magister Magi
Yeah, I would think so. I think it aired on Toonami. Adult Swim is borderline, Toonami is like, it's just NOT otaku.

Otaku-sama
Although DBZ was screwed up the ass multiple times by various American dubbing companies, it was still the portal into the anime world. We must cherish it either way. Another good thing that came from the dubbing:[spoiler=ITS OVER 9000!!!] Also, check this out:[spoiler=Check this]
DL
lol. I already saw the IT'S OVER 9000!!!!! video. But I did not know that I was going to get rick rolled...I saw caramelldansen with lucky star characters.... it was so cute...My conclusion: caramelldansen is cute when done by cute characters. On a side note, I saw the lucky star theme but with haruhi suzumiya characters. DL
Which I'm guessing was not very cute. It's a good song though.

I've even seen Halo 3 and Dead Space Caramelldansen Can you please post the link for this? Also, the reason Caramelldansen is done so much is because it's that awsome. -Berserker-
Here we don't always have the dubbing made directly from the japanese, sometimes the dub we get is the dubbing of the dubbing made by 4kids. I wish they dub directly from the original again, so we can have again characters with names like Mr. Satan around.
Great Unclean One: VK
Mr.Satan > Hercules. I perfer the original names over the americanized ones. That's why I call most of my cards by their original names.
Otaku-sama
Only problem with a name like Mr. Satan is that the entire Southern part of the US will protest, making DBZ crash and burn. Another example of censoring to escape the fanatic Christians are anything with Spellbinding Circle in it. The original Spellbinding Circle was the pentagram. That wouldn't fly in the Western world. Kira Magister Magi
In Japan, it is an Ankh, which I still find odd that they can't reveal it, what with the EGYPTIAN Gods...

-Berserker-
The name "Mr Satan" explains all the 666 simbols in random things in the series (We can assume those are Mr Satan merchandising, because famous people sell things with their names, etc). Changing the name just causes confusion about that and people relate the 666 with actual satanism and not with a professional fighter's artistic name. Otaku-sama
You weren't kicked out. I'm just too lazy to update the first post. I really don't care who posts here. As long as they aren't a rabid Naruto or (god forbid) Inuyasha fangirl, they can talk here. That Kona-chan card...MUST HAVE ONE!
