Well...Lucky Star is out of the question considering it is about perfectly normal high school students...

I wouldn't exactly call the characters of Lucky Star 'normal'. xD

How about Kanon, the only thing kinda out of Place there is inside the school is that girl with a Sword fights demons that attack the school in the middle of the friggin night, out of the 6 Main characters in Kanon, 1 is a Girl that fights demons(Who i mentioned earlier), another is an Angel, and another girl has a soul of a Fox.... Literally.

Kanon was first a Virtual Novel, that was made into both a Manga and an Anime....

The Anime takes place in a snow covered town where a boy named Yuichi came to visit, He had visited the same town 7 years ago, but had forgotten his whole childhood, Yuichi meets and befriends 5 girls that are all related to his Childhood, In order of sequence, Nayuki Minase, Ayu Tsukimiya, Shiori Misaka, Mai Kawasumi, and Makoto Sawatari. Out of all of them, one of them is an Angel, Another fights Demons, and another has a soul of a Fox..... Literally, Nayuki is Yuichi's Cousin, with her Mother, Akiko being Yuichi's aunt, Yuichi doesn't have to go to school on the first episode, After Nayuki gets out of practice, she shows Yuichi around town, only to start shopping..... I'll let you see the rest, The Anime is both Funny and saddening at the same time

For something really funny, watch Episode number 5 of the 2002 Anime, there was a pair of funny episodes in the 2006 anime, but 1. I forgot them, and 2. the other one i stated is funnier

Also' date=' I didn't even know there was a genre called 'otaku anime'. *Is ashamed* D:[/color']

There is no real genre. It's just what people would infer as something only people who are obsessed with anime would watch.

It's mostly seen as the anime that don't have a bunch of people running around dressed as them or in their paraphernalia outside of conventions. (Examples: Naruto and Bleach)

So then Case Closed is otaku?

@Akira: Accept-sauce.

@Seta: Unfortunately, Death Note has been recently made mainstream due to the recent surge of popularity in North America and its debut on NA tv.

@Captain: Metal Gear Solid maybe quite anime themed, but its a video game for the most part. This isn't a video game club, its an anime/manga club. Series I recognize as an otaku manga/anime have to be two things: (1) Must have been originally an anime/manga. (2) Must have debuted in Japan. Metal Gear wasn't an anime or manga originally. Webcomics don't count if you were going to say it.

@True: ACCEPTED! WELCOME!

@Capt: Yes I know Metal Gear started in Japan but it had to start off as an anime/manga. Metal Gear started as a game, which I enjoy. Metal Gear is not otaku material because it is well known by gamers. I'm sorry.

@Anyone: Does anyone have any other ideas for a club event?
