Skuldur
Well' date=' I don't care about their clubs because I'm sure that their clubs will be based on the boring generic ones like Naruto and [b']Death Note[/b]. They need the 3 clubs to hold all the Naruto fans. They're a dime a dozen nowadays. Blasphemy! Death Note is one of the best anime series of all time. .Requiem
I disagree, there are underrated anime which can be a lot better.
Otaku-sama
I know that Death Note is a good anime, but an otaku should know that once any anime's popularity has grown too large, it abandons its otaku status and gains the generic name. Death Note has grown too large to be an otaku anime. I believe that the true jewels of anime are found in the grounds of the otaku. Since Death Note is no longer otaku, I will never recognize it as more than a massively popular generic anime. But that's just me.

Kira Magister Magi
Hardly anyone knows about it here... You can nget DVDs and t-shirts at F.Y.E., but that's basically any anime whatsoever...

Otaku-sama
Code Geass is still only known to the otaku community, so it still keeps its otaku status.
Skuldur
Code Geass is at the edge of Otakuness. It was shown on Adult Swim.
Otaku-sama
Well, since it didn't take off, it's still an otaku anime. Some otaku anime have been dubbed but are still considered otaku. For example: Azumanga Daioh is often found dubbed (and sounds terrible because they still use Japanese honorifics) but is still very much otaku. Shradow
What is Azumanga Daioh about? I heard it's got no plot like Lucky Star.
Juuzou
What is Azumanga Daioh about? I heard it's got no plot like Lucky Star. did you just bash an awesome Anime? >__> it's about high-school girls in school. and they have lots of different kinds of people. there's a lesbian, and a pedo, and a psychotic teacher, and a girl with ADD, and a girl who goes on diets and is sorta nerdy, a girl who dreams about cats and thinks one girls father is a magical cat. and then there is the girl who is 9 or so at the beginning and she skipped a whole lot of grades. Shradow
I didn't bash it. I was asking if it was similar to Lucky Star in the fact that they do random stuff and there is no real plot.
Otaku-sama
I'd have to say that Azumanga Daioh is essentially Lucky Star sans brightly coloured hair and anime references; plus more colourful (extreme personalities) cast of characters. Skuldur
So it's better than Lucky Star?
Otaku-sama
Well, Lucky Star has a certain charm that keeps it down to earth, while AzuDai can get super crazy at times. I prefer Lucky Star, but AzuDai is a close second.
