Marisa Kirisame-ze
Sure it counts xD And well, here's the thing. A cosplay can't fail if time and effort was put into it or if you buy, dedication was put into your purchase. No matter how you look like or what you do corresponding to those elements, you'll always have a lovely cosplay. But what you described sounds like a kid who found his old Halloween costume from the time he was 10 and wore it because he's cheap. Or something. Blake
OK, then, I've done it twice XD *Thinks about Black cosplay* Considering the Trench Coat for the outfit cost $200 (Which is why I went as him twice/am forced to wear it on occasion by my mother)... So, I did well =D YEah, he just put it on. I would have facepalmed except for two things: 1. If I facepalmed at that, my Otakuness(Or, their view of liking any anime) would be revealed, and the little rep I have... *Dies*.2. I had black hair spray on my hair XD ... I could even see his t-shirt/jeans, and I did not see any sleeves on the cloak.
DL
That is the most fail cloak ever. True, my Sasuke cosplay has no wig (nor will it ever, most likely, or at least not in the near future) But at least I looked hard for a blue shirt without anything on it, and khaki-ish/white shorts. Otaku-sama
I cosplayed as the Black Mage for Halloween. I also improved my mask by added the Black Mage's yellow eyes to the mask, but now I can't see in the mask. It was too bad I wasn't allowed to wear it all the time anyways (school has strict no mask policy). It was great though. Not too many people recognized who I was because the video game players in my school, which are already very spread out and rare, don't know their classic video games. 'Tis sad. I also hosted a Halloween/birthday party on the Friday, which turned out pretty well. Oh yea, my birthday was last wednesday, but I was too busy studying for Chemistry to tell you guys. Great Unclean One: VK
For Halloween: A space marine, blood raven chapter. (Warhammer 40k) Blakie was a Terran Marines. (Starcraft) Epic battles between us was epic.

-Berserker-
I found a pic of me at the Mack in Facebook. Otaku-sama
My school's gamers are like the post modern philosopher: They don't study their classics. You have no idea what I'm talking about. Which person are you Saikano? Did you cosplay?
Blake
I know what you mean, but still. Any true "Gamer" should know WHO Black Mage is. All the "Gamers" I know play Brawl and CoD, Halo, Etc. Nothing else, except a few. Also, DL is gone... for a... month...
Shradow
I love the classics. When I get the chance, I'm going to go to my favorite old video game store and buy Chrono Trigger for my SNES. Oh, and happy late birthday, Otaku-sama. Mine was last Friday, I just usually don't tell people my birthday, it seems like bragging, at least until it's passed.
Marisa Kirisame-ze
My school's Gamers are those people who stay in a classroom during nutrition and lunch to battle each other in Halo: Reach. It's annoying. But then there are the Square Enix gamers - those I'm mainly friends with - who I enjoy a nice gaming conversation with. They know what's reasonable in my taste. Shradow
I can count how many gamer people who're in my whole school besides me on one hand (there is 1, at least by my standards of "gamer"). There are a few who are kind of gamers, and all of them are my friends. I during lunch I play Mario Kart with 3 of them, but during class when I have time, I'm currently playing FFI. (going to finish the game now that I've succeeded in the Lvl 11 Class Change Challenge, then going to do... 4 White Mages...)
Otaku-sama
I've just finished FFI on my Ipod with a Knight, a White Wizard and two Red Wizards myself. I'm gonna do a run with a Monk somewhere in it. My god, four White Mages...That's gonna be a very painful game... For my birthday, I got two gift cards to EB Games (Gamestop in America), a stuffed L doll and an awesome handmade card with Osaka, Konata and Yutaka on it. Awesome. Shradow
I'm doing my Lvl 11 Class Change (which, if you couldn't tell, is where you class change at lvl 11, the lowest possible level... Lich was a jerk... One Blizzara and it's time for Start+Select+A+B...) with a Knight (Fightr), Ninja (Thief), Red Wizard (Red M), and Black Wizard (Blk M). I hate the 6 letter limit, it messed up Fighter's name. For my birthday, I got $100 (half has to go to my savings account), the box set of the Hunger Game Trilogy, a 12 hole tenor Ocarina of Time w/ FF and LoZ songbook, and this Gurrenmon shirt.I also asked for Chrono Trigger, but didn't get it, so I'll just buy it with my birthday money. (Maybe a capture card, too, so I can start LPing.)
-Berserker-
I used to have that same avatar before, Shradow... @Ota-San: I am the man in black with the ponytail in the background. You can't tell from that distance, but I am cosplaying a normal person/mild otaku...
Blake
Actually, 4 White Mages... is supposedly the best team. Makes no sense to me. @Gurrenmon shirt: Epic...
-Berserker-
The 4 White Mages is a reference to the webcomic 8-bit Theatre. It's about a strip with a joke about a strip of the same comic with many years of difference...
Blake
I know that. I've read most of 8-bit, and I know the end (I can't help myself >_ I also know that in the Original, 4 White Mages was said to be the best team.
-Berserker-
I only played it once, and I don't think I even reached half of the game. I remember I did pretty well with 1 Fighter, 1 Red Mage, 1 Thief and 1 Monk...
Blake
My only play of the original was:Red WizrdBlack WizardWhite WizardNinja I was playin' it with my mom and sis... but, then we started grinding before going after the final boss, got bored, and never went back... I've beat the GBA one, though. It was MUCH easier.

Blake
Yeah XD No. It was much too hard for that, even if that was just a joke ;~; That's how you beat the Dark King in FF: Mystic Quest. Best. VGMs. EVER. For its era.

Shradow
It looks really awesome. The only negative thing I've got about it is the feet. It's like a sword blade with one random toe? It looks kinda strange.
Marisa Kirisame-ze
I need thoughts on this hair style, modeled by the gorgeous Taemin from SHINee~<3This is what I'll be undergoing for the next few weeks-months till my hair grows that long, but I need to maintain my bangs to that "just over the eye" length. What do you guys think about it~? LOL, yes, I'm asking for hair advice from you people. As if you'll care or something~ @Saikano; The drawing itself is good, but you need more blending of the colors in it. Right now, the colors are too "out there" and aren't blending in together to make true depth or shadow. If your CG program has a smudge tool, I suggest using that over the edges of where the two colors touch. Between the background and the drawing itself, it looks too much like two separate things. The purpose of a single art piece is the way the whole piece flows together as one. Since the background and the drawing itself don't work together well or show one flowing image, the whole picture itself looks very clashing and uneasy for an eye to follow due to it's separation as background to actually drawn image, when the background and drawn focal image should be at one. If that makes any sense. But believe me on this and fix your work when you can.
