The best thing ever anime-wise was either Kanon or Toradora.

Manga-wise, it was 20th Century Boys

of course, these are just my opinions, but I believe 20thCB to be the perfect manga for a reason.

>Lucky Star being good

Since when is an anime that has very little plot and is mostly just a ton of moeblobs good?

Shows don't have to have a plot to be good.

Just look at Friends.

Wow' date=' just wow.

Saying an anime can be good without plot is like saying paint drying is entertaining.

Well, isn't it fun? 8D

Kidding~ But most anime that just follow a day-after-day plot are okay with me. Ichigo Mashimaro was really cute, and it was almost exactly like Lucky Star.

You're so very wrong.

Anime is just a TV show. TV shows can be good without a plot, just look at Friends, How I Met Your Mother, the Simpsons etc.

They focus mostly on comedy and, therefore, don't have to have a plot.

I never enjoyed any of those listed, truthfully, I could care less for comedy. I think comedy is annoying - explaining why I hated Bakuman when Ashirogi was writing Run, Daihatsu Tanto!, although I did laugh my ass off with the latest chapters, but I digress.

No anime nor TV Show should focus solely on comedy, giving no character development, plot, or anything else. At least in my opinion. Sure, comedy CAN be good. As long as the show isn't focused only on getting cheap laughs and making idiotic puns.

If it doesn't have a plot, it's not worth watching. If you need an anime that gives you laughs while watching while still maintaining a plot, read Bakuman or watch Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. There are tons of anime/manga that can get you to laugh while keeping a plot, therefore, I truthfully see no point as to why people like the idiotic shows they like.

@Akira: It makes them laugh!

That's reason enough. Sure, there will be character development over the course of the series and each episode has a little separate plot.

Sometimes people just want to laugh without having to worry about keeping up with a plot.

You can also read the FMA manga, which is basically FMA Brotherhoods original form, as well as that of the original anime up to just before the confrontation with Greed. Ranma 1/2 is better though, and almost never fails to make me laugh before the end of the episode.

If you need an MANGA that gives you laughs while watching while still maintaining a plot' date=' WATCH Trigun.

Agreed, Trigun is very funny, and full of epic win. I just love how Vash allows himself to get pushed around so easily, and yet he could so easily destroy an entire town.:lol::lol:

Whatever. I just don't see the point of anime focused simply on comedy, even if it's just for laughing. If you want to laugh without having to worry about plot, watch a stand-up comic.

Out of those listed, I've seen the Simpsons. Hated it. It was cheap, annoying, stupid, below juvenile. And this is coming from the most Childish person I know. Every single episode needs to be gathered up and destroyed, simple as that.

Anyway, as for Lilith or Morigan, Lilith, all the way.

There are many anime that get you to laugh with a plot, and several that have no plot. Bobobo, however, is in its own category. There is a very loose plotline, that is barely stuck to. I was confused out of my mind, but it was enjoyable.
