Marisa Kirisame-ze
They may be good manga' date=' but they aren't officialy classified AS manga. manga - Japanese comics. So they can be as manga-esque as they want, they won't be manga, because they're made by americans... IN AMERICA! (had to go there)[/quote'] Ah, this is just like that one thread I stumbled on about "Westerners Can't Cosplay Since It's For ASIANS ONLY"... Hated that guy who started that. I don't consider manga to be classified as manga if it's drawn by the Japanese. They can't be that holy. Plus, that's not what manga is in any case. Manga itself is based on the ART, PANELING, RIGHT TO LEFT READING, and THE BASIS ON JAPANESE CULTURE (like how most manga have School Festivals and they visit shrines and what not). But there's nothing there that says you have to be Japanese. Cause I have a friend who's white and lives in Japan for 6 years due to her dad being in the army or something (they moved around a lot), and she has a wide knowledge on Japan, plus draws a manga. If you couldn't see her face, you'd think she was Japanese and in fact, you'd call her manga MANGA.

If you couldn't see her face, you'd think she was Japanese and in fact, you'd call her manga MANGA. It's actually different. Cosplaying isn't a Japanese-thing, it's just, mostly Japanese people do it, and it started in japan (as far as I know O.O) But manga = Japanese comics. ...wow...why do people argue points not worth arguing? Skuldur
You have the one made after the comedy anime series that was made after the first manga series was released. It is more comedy and a lot less ecchi than the original.
-Berserker-
I know a half-japanese girl. She lived in Japan during 10 years. If she were otaku I would marry her. She doesn't like anime, but at least I can ask her help when I start decorating my japanese-style room...
DL
@Skuldur - O.o (confused) I did not know that. I need to search more negima.... I'd prefer it less ecchi...
Shradow
Okay, so there's the first manga, then the anime based off of that, then the other manga based off the anime, and there's that other one that's a retelling?
