Yeah, I remember my first love too.

 

Just in 6th grade. Liked him till the beginning of 8th, but got over him after realizing we're like siblings, rather than a couple.

 

...Then I met James <3

 

But anyways, what are your guys' takes on yuri, yaoi, and hentai? o-o

I have a feeling we never discussed much of the subject before and my friend just brought it up, so I decided to take that convo here.

 

I dislike all but yuri~ I don't know why. I'm attracted to yuri x3 But you guys knows this already. Yaoi I can't stand and have been dared to watch Loveless and Gravitation countless times, but I just can't get through it. Hentai isn't for me, it's for pervs.

Marly suggested Loveless to me, buuuut, I didn't like it. I admit, I prolly would've liked it had I given it more a chance.

 

I'm a fan of yaoi, however, but have never really gotten any yuri pairings, which is odd, cause I like girls more than guys xD.

Yuri fanfics are a staple for Lucky Star and Azumanga considering the only male characters in both series are obscure or unimportant. Yuri fanfics are either great or terrible.

 

Yaoi is a no for me. Just no.

 

I can thank my current addiction to hentai to Newgrounds. Darn Pokemon hentai gots me hooked on the stuff...

Yeah, some people are like "Well, why is it okay for two women to go at it, but not two guys?" Well, its not that Yuri is any less morally "No" as far as I'm concerned, its just that Yaoi is, well, more terrible. I've seen it, I've seen Yuri, and well, Yuri is just somehow, better. I dunno how, it just is.

Well, in my case, yuri is pretty cute. It's sensitive and adorable, and I just die for that stuff in anime. Girls are stabled to love, they're more passionate for it and it's natural to see them like that (although I'm the direct opposite and I feel love is overrated, but it's nice in good anime). But when it comes to men, you expect them to be more... well, manly. And yaoi portrays the more sensitive side to men all the time and I prefer anime guys to be more badass x3

 

But my take on yaoi and yuri is far different then my take on lesbian and gays. Since there's a difference >___>

I would be fine if you just said you didn't like it, but against it? That's just dickish. I'm not a huge fan of guys either, but I still like yaoi, not in the hentai-sense of yaoi, but guyxguy romances, at the very least.

Anyone seen Ga-rei -Zero-? It's pretty full of action and bloodshed, but then there's a yuri pairing of awesomeness ...who plays the Pocky game in one of the episodes~

 

Made me love that anymore moar for not much of a reason.

 

On the topic of yuri/yaoi/hentai, what are your guys' favorite anime genres?

 

I really love black humor, shounen, yuri, and other anime gebres I don't know the actual names of; fighting, emotional, yandere (besides School Days), and all of which with Rie Kugimiya (tsundere stuff)~
