Otaku-sama
That's corporate America for you. If it's good, it's not good for corporation. When there is a good idea and it is not making money for your corporation, it isn't a good idea. In that case, either adapt the idea to allow it to make you money, whether it is very far from the original is inconsequential, or find a way to make sure a rival corporation cannot use said idea. Shadow Zero
and that just goes to show how stupid some people in this country are.
Marisa Kirisame-ze
They don't appreciate what they get money for, so they're actually smart to go through with everything. It'll piss people like us off, but what do they care. They have money. It's like me selling off Hannah Montana shirts with Selena Gomez in a Hannah wig. I ruined Hannah Montana with it's rival person, but Selena fans will love it. Just like how Zac fans will love this Death Note. Idiocy is known in America. Otaku-sama
I have a new topic: If anyone watched the Super Bowl, whether in the stadium or on TV, knows that some of those fans are pretty crazy. They paint their entire bodies with team colours, pay around $2500 just to sit and watch 4 hours of a game and weep with sadness or happiness when their team wins or loses. They are pretty freaky, but they are still considered more socially acceptable than cosplaying and anime stuff. Really, they are otaku themselves, just over football, not anime. Is it simply because they obesess over football, the centrepiece of American culture, or is it because we love anime, a Japanese creation? Is this proof of cultural war between America and Japan or what?
DL
DN is now gonna really suck now since a live action movie is being made in america. Zac Effron= Light Jonny Depp = L I think Hannah Montana = Misa I loled. Johnny Depp would be wonderful for the role of L... if he wasn't like 30 years older than him XD Zac effron as light is bound to fail, since zac's into spirited, happy characters. Hannah Montana is just like WTF? o_O
Shadow Zero
i guess so, huh link? xD and seriously, football fans take things to far. at least we who are into anime don't take things as far as body paint, and stay relatively calm and quiet. e_e
Skuldur
But still, you're considered strange/a geek if you like it. But when you obsess over football or whatever sport, it's okay. >.>

Agreed. Example. At my high school, I'm called a "freak" just because I like anime. They also tap each other's ass and show each other balls, yet they call my friends gay. DL
o.O People at my school tend to be a little less mean to people who read manga...
Shadow Zero
dude, you have people who act like bastards calling other people bastards? that is just not right. e_e
DL
no, no it is not... what's also not right is that the football fans paint themselves and then call US weird...
Shadow Zero
inorite? xD at least we keep it toned down and are somewhat quiet and only do face paint as necessary. they just take it way to far.
DL
Well, we do have cosplay, but we don't form a crowd of people who painted themselves so when they all come togehter they look like a banner of a football team... >.>
Shadow Zero
yeah, we actually keep things appropriate, unlike those guys who think that it is cool to gross people out be getting themselves to be half naked or something. e_e
Negimalevolent
that depends on exactly who you're cosplaying, most mangas do tend to have at least one character in a very skimpy outfit which tend to show of all the 'private' areas, certainly from manga like .hack and negima where outfits are either skimpy or easily manipulated by either the weather or people who try and show off their 'areas' to hook up (I mean clothes like sailor fuku and stuff)
DL
in negima, the cloths they wear are normal. It's their teacher and his sneezes that makes it ecchi...XD
Negimalevolent
yeah... i suppose so... my bad... I have negima ecchi as the only thing besides humpour and storyline that actualy stick in my head btw, I've been watching the Negima! box set I got for my b-day in december, and I was wondering if any of you know if this variation of the theme tune was on it somewhere? DL
o.O WTF? They had that for stepmania?? Anyway, the manga is better than the anime. Mostly cause the short 1 season series did no justice to long-running negima manga. BTW, I like that opening.
Negimalevolent
Yh, i have a lot of anime on my stepmania, I wanted to know if you knew if it was in the anime series? Do you know?I prefer the manga as well though Anime songs on my stepmania:Popipo (Vocaloid)Happy material (Negima! [+ Animation])hare hare Yukai (Haruhi Suzumia [However you spell it][+ animation])Go! (Naruto 4th opening [+ Animation])Mohake! Sailor Fuku! DL
Ha, I'm fulyl caught up in the negima manga, and have watched the negima anime, and you ask me if I know which anime series that song is from? That's like asking me what color is blue? XD In other words, negima = my area of expertise. An isn't it KINDA distracting to step while watching that video? XD
