DL
You should read Negima instead of watchin it. The story's more complete and it's better. Also, Hayate HAS ecchi, just not nearly as much as love hina. Plus, they focus on misunderstanding comedy.

DL
nah, I quit watching anime. At least, that's what I tell myself, but I've been trying to watch the hayate the combat butler anime, to see why people think season 1 is so much better than season 2... 賢狼ホロ
But' date=' is Gantz mainstream?[/quote'] As it only had one season, is borderline pornographic and I think the manga is discontinued, I would say no; it is not mainstream at all. DL
I've never heard of it. It's probably not mainstream. Is it good?
Skuldur
There are only 4 DVDs of Haruhi. Though, I hope they release season 2 soon to NA. D:
-Berserker-
But' date=' is Gantz mainstream?[/quote'] As it only had one season, is borderline pornographic and I think the manga is discontinued, I would say no; it is not mainstream at all. Rumors say that there will be a second season, more follower of the manga. If you have seen the last chapters, you know the end is BAAAD. That's because it's totally different to the manga. The manga is still running. They stopped at the end of a phase and the new phase would start around october, but I never looked for updates, so I don't know if it's already continued. Shadow Zero
well, that certainly sounds like a...different, sort of manga. e_e
Spirit of DMG
I tried reading the manga to some of the animes I already new, to see why people like manga more than anime. Maybe its because I already knew them, but the Black and White drove me crazy, and the differences as well drove me crazy. It was like "That didn't happen in the anime." "That happened this way" "Wait, Ryuuku instead of just Ryuk?" and that kind of stuff. (The last one was from Death Note, for those who didn't know.) I stopped after chapter 2. I stopped reading Lelouch of the Rebellion after chapter 12. Meh it was on Onemanga though, and then I found Nightmare of Nunnally on Mangafox. -Berserker-
Generally, I only watch the anime or only read the manga. I don't do both. But I readed Trigun after watching the anime, and I am happy of doing that. It has a better ending.

賢狼ホロ
Is it good?Well-animated' date=' but gory and borderline pornographic. I would not say it is good, but if you like gory action I think you would like it. I tried reading the manga to some of the animes I already new, to see why people like manga more than anime. Maybe its because I already knew them, but the Black and White drove me crazy, and the differences as well drove me crazy. I found it rather the opposite; for example I watched the first episode of a favourite manga of mine, and I thought "wait, I thought the main character had black hair not brown". The voice actor was also worse than I had imagined. The reasons why the manga is often considered to be better than the anime is;- the anime often starts to air before the manga is finished, so the anime has to make a abrupt ending or end up having lots of fillers. An example is Love Hina (before the release of Love Hina Again), which did not have a conclusion in the original anime. Or what about Naruto which contains more fillers than actual story?- the anime is more public as it is aired on the television, meaning that the contents needs to be less explicit. A good example is Samurai Deeper Kyo, whereas in the manga Kyo kills many people, but in the anime everyone he kills turns out to be a monster. (killing monsters is AOK). (This applies mostly only to manga/anime in the shounen category)- as the manga is released per chapter in weekly papers before being released as a pocket as we know it, each individual chapter tends to be interesting (perhaps having a cliffhanger), where as the anime you can catch the content of one or two chapters in 10-15 minutes, meaning the animators add some filler time to each episode (applies to full-season anime). This is also the reason why it tends to be like this:half-season anime (~13 episodes) > full-season anime (~26 episodes) > multiple-season anime(this does not however apply to seinen anime because it has more mature viewers) "Wait' date=' Ryuuku instead of just Ryuk?" and that kind of stuff. [/quote']Well, the spelling of names is up to the dubbers and translaters, it is not really the fault of the manga or anime itself. In Japanese those characters surely have the same name, but it is up to the translater to guess how it will be spelled in English. Light or Raito? L or Eru? The characters of Initial D got horrible names in the official English manga.Takumi -> TakTakahashi Ryousuke -> RyoTakahashi Keisuke -> K.T.If I am not incorrect, I think they mirrored the entire manga, så that the driving scenes would feature left-hand driven cars (as in Amerca) instead of right-hand driven cars (as in Japan).Love Tokyopop... not... Otaku-sama
I don't really like reading manga over watching anime, the manga can show the artists subtle improvements over time. When I bought the Azumanga Daioh polybus, I discovered that Chiyo-chan's pigtails weren't always perfectly round. I was shocked!
