My legitimate excuse for not playing Runescape: it sucks ***

seriously though, the only way it's remotely any fun is if your on a member server, I've tried both. and Member servers cost 5 bucks a month. for merely 10 dollars more, you could play one of the many MMO's out there that 1: have a deep Story, 2: have deep gameplay that takes brains beyond that of a 12-year old to comprehend. and 3: good graphics.

heck theres alot of MMOs out there that don't have fees, and they're better then Runescape. I've been around, I've played ALOT of MMOs. the only ones Runescape beat are the kiddy ones like Club Penguin, and the random MMO that never quite kicks of. Would it kill them to have graphics that match a 32-bit system? I know graphics aren't everything, but when most of the things in the game are just color changes, you have issues.

Runescape = MMOs for 10-14 year olds. I'm sorry Its just not THAT good. if you like it thats cool, this is my reasoning. I stopped playing when at level 70 I found myself making ***loads of armor just to up smithing. somewhere around having made 100 pieces I decided I could do somthing better.

no I'm not suggesting WoW, honestly Runescape is more fun than wow, making friends is easier

Btw' date=' would anyone be willing to be a Black Mask (9) from me?

If you still have it, just name the price on it and i'll buy it. I need to work on my slayer anyways.

Anything between 500k and 600k is fine, or at least the minimum it allows, which looks be 705k, which is ridiculous.

Fair enough. Am I buying from you or the grand exchange?

[b']The quests are accually very nice, you'd have to play through a couple quest lines to really appriciate them[/b]

I'm not much into MMOs so you'd have to give me some names there, also the graphics are past 32-bit (which is half of an N64 if i'm correct), although the game does have it's ocassional glitches when it comes to graphics. =p

You have to be 13 to play, I do agree with the part about getting your skills up though but just about all MMOs have a massive amount of grinding, RS is just a bit more than the others

Good man, you're opinions on the subject wern't half bad either

Also. Much thanks for the mask Roxas. I'm at Hellhounds trying to earn a slayer mask as we speak, the thing really works wonders.

No problem. It was a win-win situation, since I wouldn't have the patience for the charges to get to 0, and you get the benefit of the mask.

Now, in While Guthix Sleeps, I believe NPCs that come to assist you all have 197 combat. Now, assuming that these characters are supposed to be just like players in terms of skill, I think that Slayer become an official combat skill and that formula for calculating Combat Level should be reworked.

Technicly' date=' it should.

But [b']Summoning[/b] isnt exactly an "offical" combat-based thing, since you have to use specific items to summon specific monsters.

Watch, I only made a few changes. Slayer needs to be a combat skill.

i play wow, but runescape isn't bad, u can't really say much about the graphics, it's java script so what do ya expect. play it for a year and stop, pretty much explains it all, if u have not much to do, check it out, however it's no where near as good back in 2006, that was it's shining point that was. but meh i don't reccomend you too much, just 1 piece of advise. ALMOST ALL THE PEOPLE WHO PLAY IT ARE PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY ARE COOL BEING 99, really u just get an emote and thats it :P. just don't judge it by it's graphics, it's not bad, just dull.

So true.

Runescape needs to re-work there comba chart a bit.

It takes quite a while to train Runecrafting' date=' but it's a good way to kill time.

Runecrafting "suposetly" makes you millions.

But it TAKES. SO. LONG. TO. LEVEL. IT. UP.

OMG' date=' how did you get 70 in Atk, Str, and Def?

[/quote']

You can accually get it fairly easy if you train on the yaks @ Neitiznot. Good thing about it is that if you wear armor, you won't need food. Beware though, it's full of rangers. So bring a fast weapon (a dragon scimitar should suffice).

What about those Expirements? They all have 100HP each, and do like 0 damage to you :O

Roxas theirs a few method try whichever you like.

1) Gain Quick Xp and Possibly a few good drops - Fire Giants, they give really good xp and they are easy to kill.

2) Gain good Xp while gaining a great amount of money - Fight Green Dragons, only pick up the Green Dragon Hide and the Dragon Bones, they are 100% drops so just kill 14 dragons and it should fill your inventory. 14 of each should sell for about 65k or more because dragons bones are at 3k and rising. Only problem is you have to run back to Edgville to bank.

3) Gain slow xp but amazing money - Fight Flesh Crawlers in the stronghold of security. They give slow xp but they drops pretty good stuff (Iron Ores Noted 1-7, 41 Fire Runes at a time, Ranarrs, Kwuarms, Dwarf Seeds) If you only pick up the following and stay their for about 2 hours, Your inventory will be worth anywhere from 150k - 320k.

Yeh but they spawn somewhat slow and it gets incredibly boring down there =P
