Struggle Of Powers

[Tempest Dahlia]

"You get smarter and smarter each punch, don't you?" Destined said.

"Lucifer, return!"

Lucifer levitated behind Cougar, then whistled back toward Destined's head, spikes around the rim as he spun around.

[-Genesis-]

Cougar caught Lucifer in midair, "With my Alter Suit active those spikes can't hurt me." He threw Lucifer away like a frisbee and he stuck in a tree. Cougar knew that it wouldn't hold Lucifer for long, "So Destined, since we have a little time until Lucifer gets unstuck why don't you tell me why you used Natalie! I asked you and trusted you to help her and you used her as a hostage. I'd like you to explain."

Lucifer immediately began to carve himself out. Destined smiled.

"First of all, it was fun! Second, i'm evil. If you were so naive to belive that l was'nt going to double-cross you all the first chance l got, then perhaps l gave you too much credit... You're not as smart as l thought," he said, Lucifer on his way again.

[-Genesis-]

Cougar was pissed he caught Lucifer again, but this time he changed the right arm of his suit into a blade, "You know since Lucifer is a hat he can be cut, but I never thought about it until now... what would happen if I carved him into tiny pieces?" Cougar backed off from Destined with Lucifer in one hand and his other hand changed into a blade, "Should we try and find out?"

 

 

Kallen still stood infront of Todou and Lora waiting for Sky to make a move.

Akima held onto Yaming despite the pain and refused to let go.

At the same time they thought, *I have to help! I have to protect them!*

[Tempest Dahlia]

"You don't want to do that..." Destined warned, smiling. He put his hands in his pocket. "I won't stop you. Go ahead. But you might not like what comes out..."

[-Genesis-]

Cougar stopped, "I wonder, are you trying to stop me from doing something that is bad for you or are you serious? Actually I think I'd be better off destroying you." He tossed Lucifer away again and disappeared, reappearing infront of Destined and again beating him mercillessly, not giving him enough time to call for Lucifer and the floating hat couldn't keep up with the speed at which Destined was being thown around so he couldn't get on Destined's head. Cougar spoke as he pummelled Destined, "If you want it to stop Lucifer will have to settle on the ground and stop moving, at least that'll be a start."

[Tempest Dahlia]

Destined sent a psionic blast, aimed at Cougar's head. "Or... I can do that!"

He landed back on the ground, scratching his head. Once again, Lucifer came hurtling toward his head.

"Without Lucifer on my head, l can fully use my psychic abilities."

[Shadow Zero]

Zero reaches where akima and Yaming are. Akima holding onto Yaming, and Yaming the destructive eye of the storm, slowly being consumed by her own powers. "Yaming, what your doing won't help. trust me, i know" he says as he places a hand on each of Yamings shoulders and instantly feeling pain course through his body, able to bear it only because he knows and understands the type of pain that he's feeling...the pain screaming from within which also hurts those around you. "I know the pain that you feel, and i know why your doing this, because i once went through the exact same thing. But if you do this, your power is going to consume you and turn you into a being of utter evil! is that really what you want?! To become a demon that hurts those that she wished to protect???" Zero continues to hang on to Yaming, despite the all consuming pain he is suffering, remembering what happened when his powers went out of control and hoping, praying, that Yaming would feel the strong emotions flowing from him and stop before it was to late.

Meanwhile, Technus, having had quite enough of cougars dangerously prideful attitude, lunges at him and manages to grab a hold of him. He punches Cougar several times yelling, "You just won't listen will you? don't you get it yet? by allowing your anger to control you, you are granting destined that which he most wants! I get that your angry about what happened to Natalie, but you can't fight Destined right now! if you continue to do that, your going to end up making it so that Yaming is completely possessed by her powers and becomes evil, not to mention destroying us all. Is that what you really want...do be directly responsible for the death of someone you care so much for? well, IS IT?!!" Technus yells the last 2 words as loudly as he possibly can while still pummeling Cougar as hard as he can, then grabbing him and twisting his arms behind his back, hoping that his words will finally get through the young fools thick skull so that he'll reign in that pride of his so that everyone can live to fight another day, although he, too, would like for Destined to pay dearly for what he did, and not just to Natalie.

Cougar tried to shake Technus off of him but he wouldn't let go, "Get off of me I need to crush Destined! I've already down some major internal damage, but that's not enough, I want to make him scream!" Cougar reached up over his head and grabbed Technus by his shoulders, "And I won't let you get in the way of that!" He hurled Technus over his head and into a tree. Then he turned to face Destined, "I wonder if you're stronger without Lucifer then why do you let him sit on your head? What do you gain?"

[Tempest Dahlia]

"Is that any of your business?" Destined said in a taunting voice. ""Do l go around asking people what that get-up you call a suit does? How about l kill you, then tell you what it does afterword?"

He laughed, still holding on to Lucifer.

"By the looks of it, your little friend has a matter of time before she becomes consumed by evil. And that's when i'll swoop in..."

[Shadow Zero]

 

Technus gets up from the ground, feeling a little groggy but still able to fight. "All right, that does it!" Technus charges at Cougar again, but instead of throwing yet more punches, he casts a very powerful sleeping spell that immediately causes Cougar to become drowsy. taking advantage of this, Technus hits Cougar with a fireball spell, knocking him back several feet into a tree and knocking him out. "You fool. you just wont listen, will you? Fine, then i'll just have to keep you bound." Technus casts a spell of binding that is almost impossible for a person to break under their own power, then grabs Cougar and Natalie and runs away from where Destined is, hoping to keep the fight from continuing any further.

Sky stood in front of Kallen, Todou and Lora, "Sorry. I don't fight girls." he gave a light-hearted smile.

The pain that shot through Akima's body was unimaginable, his entire being felt numb and yet to could not- No! Would not let go of Yaming as her energy swirrled around the fighters like an eerie backdrop. Her eyes no longer visable through the "mist" of energy Akima's words could hardly reach her while Sky turned down fighting the women and Cougar continued to duel with Destined.

 

While the fighting continued Kyba and Darren looked at each other as the wind began to slow. "Is this a good thing?" Darren asked as the wind died and everyhting that was levitating fell to the ground.

"I don't think so . . ."

 

"Oh . . . no . . ." was all Josh could say as Akima was blasted off of her by merely a touch. Koya looked over in shock and tried to close his dropped jaw.

 

"What do you mean 'oh no'?" he asked as the hair on his arm, no . . . his entire body began to rise. The blood, the gasps and sounds of battle were too much after her lose as Yaming landed on the ground, pulsing with energy beyond measure.

 

"I SAID . . . ENOUGH!!!!!" and as she spoke a wave of her power shot in all directions and wrapped around each person. Cougar's Alter Suit seemed to loose power and disappeared, while Lucifer shook and closed his eyes as if in pain, even the sleep spell casted by Technus seems to have failed! Yes- even the very area they are standing in seemed to be filled with a presence no one could put their fingers on.

 

"This is . . . amazing . . ." Lora muttered as she held out her hands, being the first to notice the changes. Koya nodded his head as he tried to form an energy blast and failed- this power was beyond measure. And in the distance Catherine and Aya only watched in stunned silence- they had found the most powerful super yet . . . one who could negate any super power!

 

[Shadow Zero]

 

Teknus stood looking at Yaming, at once awestruck, and terrified. never before had he seen a power that could negate all others, and he didn't even think that it was possible. but...as he tried to examine his suits inner workings using technopathy, he immediately knew that it was no good. they were all powerless now.

At the same time, Zero being the closest one to yaming was completely and utterly shocked. he had thought for sure that the power would rage out of control, and he had been very fearful of htat possibility as well. But what had happened instead was infinitely worse. he did not know how, but he instantly knew that there would be no reasoning with Yaming. she was in a blood rage, and she would not be leaving it until she had seen her chosen task through to the end. What that task was, though, was anyones guess.

Destined was beyond all excitement. Such power! The work of a genius, that girl!

All types of possibilities surged through Destined's brain. Even through a time like this, he couldn't stop being so evil.

"I'm going up there!" Destined yelled, making a sprint to attempt a leap. "I just have to have it!"

He slid a syringe out of his sleeve, filled with a clear liquid. Armed with only this, he leaped.

He wasn't going to make it. Thinking fast, he attached Lucifer's belt to it, and threw the needle upwards...

Sky looked Destined, then at the girl who made everyone stop, "What's all this? I can't... use any of my powers!" he then reached in his cloak for something...

Sky knew that the girl cause them to lose their powers, but was sure it was temporary. He hid an object in his hand just in case anything else went wrong.

The needle connected. The clear liquid in the syringe emptied into Yaming's arm. Nothing would happen right away, but soon...

Sky went after Destined, curious about the object he threw at Yaming, "What was that?" he said quietly to him.

He still held his weapon under his cloak on alert.

[Tempest Dahlia]

"You'll see soon..." Destined said.

The syring began to fill with a red liquid... Blood.

"Perfect."

He pulled the syringe out.

[Shadow Zero]

Zero notices the syringe. He wasn't able to be quick enough to stopit from injecting, but he wasn't going to let Destined have the blood. Being the closest one to Yaming, Zero barely makes it in time to grab the syringe as it is yanked out, yanking it away and pocketing it.

Meanwhile, Teknus runs over to where Sky and destined is and delivers a powerful punch to him before grabbing a hold of Destined.

"-the crap!" Sky flew backwards, surprised by the attack, "You shouldn't have done that."

Sky flies again, but towards Teknus grabbing his throat, "Tell your friend to give that syringe back to Destined, or I'll crush your windpipe."

[Shadow Zero]

Teknus slowly and defiantely turns his head to look at sky. "You can't do anything. You are week without your powers, whereas I..." Tecknus grabs Sky's wrist, slowly increasingthe pressure as he crushes it beneath his hand. "...I was trained to fight without my powers!" Teknus suddenly rears his head back, dragging sky with him, then slams his other hand on the inside crook of Sky's elbow and slams his head into Sky's.

Meanwhile, Zero heads over next to Yaming, presenting her with the syringe. "Destined tried to take your blood for some reason. I don't know why, but i don't think it's a good idea to let them get their hands on it. And also...I think they injected you with something prior to taking your blood."

[Jake the Sage]

As Technus, Sky, Zero and Destined all fought over the vile of blood it leaped from their hand into the air. Falling towards the ground two tiny little hands caught it and held it up for everyone too see.

 

"Is this the only thing everyone can think about!? POWER!?" Lora yelled at everyone as she smashed it to the ground, "There are more important things than that!"

 

"The little lady is right!"

"Yeah!" Kyba and Darren called out, then looked away and down to the ground when their boss glared at them.

 

"I have temporarily taken away everyone's powers, and none of . . . you will get them back until . . . I say . . . so," Yaming said landing on the ground, panting and sweat falling from her face, "I don't care what differences any of us have against each other. Right now . . . we should all have one goal- REVENGE!"

 

"I agree with Yaming as well! Think about it people! Right now we have some of the most powerful supers ever in one group. And who has been the one person who's caused ALL of us trouble and grief!? The General of the Western Military!!! I saw we all ban together and take him out!" Koya said as Yaming walked amoungst the group and back over to Josh, her hair flowing around her as she did.

Destined flicked his hair back as a slight wind blew over his face. No one could see his eyes; The rim of his hat shadowed over them.

He was silent. An awkward silence that seemed to stretch for an eternity. Did he just hear what he think he just heard? Heroes wanting revenge? The very heroes that wanted peace were ready to wage a war with, of all people, the general?...

... After a last moment of silence, he simply said:

"That... Sounds grand."

[Shadow Zero]

Zero looked to Yaming, then walked over to destined and held a hand out, knowing that this is the one time that everyone can be on equal footing. "We may have out differences, and i know that none of us will ever fully trust you, but they're right. Besides, it sounds like he's the main problem right now, and the reason why Teknus and i came to this world was to get rid of people like him anyway. perhaps a temporary truce is in order?" Teknus hears this and immediately lets go of Destined, while still looking at Sky. "Well what do you think? shall we continue to fight and risk dying at Yamings hands? Or shall we work together for a common cause?"
