Struggle Of Powers

[Blake]

Black appeared behind Destined. "So, boss, are we going to go along with this whole heartedly? I hope not." Black grinned. "I would love some drama, per se."

 

Saul just followed, ignoring Kyou. Instead, he walked up to Cougar and handed him an envelope. "Here." He said. "this has a copy of my ID in it. Wave it, and they will let you straight to the Rebel Leader."

[Jake the Sage]

Destined gave a wicked smile underneath the shade of Lucifer as they walked behind everyone. He gave a slight nod to say 'yes' while eavesdropping in on everyone. He could hear Saul tell Cougar about his ID and the conversation Yaming was having with Akima and Kallen.

 

"So what do you think the small problem the General was talking about is?" she questioned as the wall began to shrink in the distance behind them.

 

Back at the gate Lora gave a sigh as Mitch watched them. The General was smiling and remarked, "There they go . . ."

 

"Alea iacta est [The die has been cast]," Mitch answered back while the two girls looked at him curiously.

[-Genesis-]

Kyou shook her head at the change of plan, *I wish they would keep everything straight.* She turned to Eden and blushed, "Listen, I'm sorry about what I did earlier, I had no right to kiss you like that." She turned away and started to walk away from Eden.

 

Cougar thanked Saul, "You do know that I'm coming with you for part of the way."

 

Akima shrugged at Yaming's question, "I really don't have a clue. Do you Kallen?" She shook he head, "Not in the slightest. What do you think he was talking about Corey?"

[Jake the Sage]

Yaming thinks about it and then shrugs her shoulder, thinking that they will find out soon enough. While everyone walked Koya stayed in the front, turning to occassionaly look over his shoulder at the rest of the group.

 

"So Saul . . . you know where they are going right?"

 

"What does that mean?" Lora asked Mitch as the group vanished from sight. Laughing he bent over and pat Lora on the head as Aya looked at him too.

 

"Its an old language that people use to tell the absolute truth. When you use it you are unable to lie," he explained.

[Blake]

"I do... Koya was it? Why do you ask?" Saul said as dead-pan as ever. "I mean, why wouldn't I?"

 

Black chuckled. "Perfect." He stepped back a ways and thought.

[Jake the Sage]

Koya stopped and everyone looked at him as he gave an emberrassed sigh, "I . . . don't know where to go."

 

Everyone laughed as he turned red from having to admit not knowing the way. Destined even gave a cold laugh at him as Black talked. He nodded his head and then turned to him, "Just ensure you do your job. Understood?"

[Freeman The Master]

Eden was confused at was going on with him and Kyou. Did she like him and why Eden and why now? Eden tried to get out of this state but was somewhat perplexed and just couldn't. That Kiss was stuck, he never evened like anyone before she was the first to him other then Lee. He ran after Kyou and garbed her Arm stopping her. He turned her around to face her. At this point he did not know what he was doing. "Kyou its fine. Its not like i did not like it. But look." He paused for a second to look around to see if anyone was listing. "Kyou I don't know whats been happening but there seems to be a spark, and..." Eden sighed "I am sorry I don't know what I am saying but I might like you."

[Final Fantasy Revolution]

Braun and Natalie had just arrived at the gates of the base when they were all leaving. Braun walked up to the group that was left behind until he and Natalie were both to the left of Mitch. Braun turned to Mitch, gave a salute, and then began to speak his thoughts. "Sir, Natalie has decided to stay here. I would like to make a formal request that, in addition to Aya and Lora's training, that you could please train Natalie as well, sir!" Braun said in a nice loyal tone of voice.

[Jake the Sage]

Mitch listened to Braun has he requested that Natalie joined Aya and Lora. His thoughts turned to what kind of training he would have to put them through and how difficult it would be up until the very end. Finally deciding on an answer Mitch grinned and looked at Braun.

 

"Only if she wants to. I'm not going to hold back any 'punches' so to speak, so it will not be for the faint of heart."

[-Genesis-]

Kallen smiled at Koya and took the lead, "Remember I've been there before. Back when I was part of the Western Military I was involved in an attack against the Southern military." She then turned around and kept walking.

 

Although they didn't know it Cougar was listening to the quiet exchange between Kyou and Eden. He smiled, *Well done Eden, well done.* He watched from the corner of his eye and made sure no one else was looking.

 

Kyou smiled at Eden's words and her eyes started to well up. She grabbed his face, pulled him close, and kissed him full on the mouth. When she let go of him she smiled and whispered delicately so that almost no one but Eden could hear her, "I love you Eden, from the bottom of my heart I do."

 

Cougar was the only one close enough to Kyou and Eden other than Lee who could hear them. He smiled and whispered to the heavens, "Serios, I know that wherever you are you're watching over her and thanking Eden for saving her from her darkness. I know of your power and I want to ask you a favor... please watch over Natalie for me, please keep her safe."

 

Natalie listened to Mitch's words of how he wouldn't hold back and understood, "I do wish to join you and I understand that I cannot back down. I only wish to become stronger so that next time I may be able to go with thm and help."

[Blake]

Black saw the kiss, while he did not hear it, and chuckled. Black appeared behind Eden. "Well, well, lovebirds, eh? Is this really the time?" He started at a chuckle, and changed to a growl. "Cut the crap." He warped back to whence he came.

 

Saul just kept walking in silence. no one was speaking to him, and he was no social genius.

[Jake the Sage]

"Black is right. We need to focus on the misison ahead of us," Yaming said as they reached the top of a hill and began to decend it. Destined had scowled as the lover birds kissed and began to think of ways to seperate them; if only for the hell of it.

 

"So Saul, which way now?" Koya asked.

 

"Very well then," Mitch said with a nod and clapped his hands. Turning around he left with the General, leaving the three girls alone in front of the gate. Lora never looked away from where she had last seen her friends.

[Blake]

Black spoke to Destined. "Can you believe them?... Nevermind they met just a little while ago... Sheesh..." For some reason 'love' was one of those things that made his blood boil.

 

"Keep going straight." Saul said simply. "We'll get there soon enough."

As Eden was kissed deeply by Kyou his vision went blank. This has never happened to him before. Hell this never even happened to him even in his deepest Dreams. This is something Eden could not imagine. Once the Kiss was over he was all ready dazed more then anything, he did not know what he was feeling at this point but all he was mostly thinking about it why? Eden started to come to his scenes when it was over. But oddly enough out of all the good things that happens to him he has to wonder why it is happening. But for once Eden ignored it and listened to Kyou's confession as it seemed. At this point he was blushing red but he managed to hide it. He just kept Kyou close. "Thank you." He paused for a second. "I love you Kyou." He said in probably the most softest tone of voice he has ever used in his life.

[-Genesis-]

Kyou was thinking that Black was lucky that he'd warped away, if he'd stayed there any longer she would have frozen him and shattered him to pieces. She started whispering her opinion of Black to Eden, "I liked his humor, but for some reason he seems to despise me now. I was actually hoping to enjoy his company as a friend, he is one of the few people to ever make me laugh." She shook her head and looked at the sky, *The only other was Serios. Wherever you are, please be at peace.*

 

Kallen walked over to Akima and nudged him. "So what do you think?" To emphasize her point she nodded in Kyou and Eden's direction.

 

Akima smiled nervously, *What's she talking about, my opinion doesn't really matter, cause it won't change anything.* "Uh, well... they look good together..."

 

Natalie smiled and walked up behind Lora. She put her hand on Lora's shoulder, "What's worrying you Lora?" She turned to see that Aya was in a similar dazed state, "What's wrong with you girls?"

[Blake]

Black thought as he walked along, then something hit him. He began looking around

 

Saul just walked on, solemn as ever. He behaved like a rogue, which you would think fit Black better.

[Freeman The Master]

Eden just sighed as Black made his remark. "Do not worry about it. But he might have had feelings to you. But I am speculating to much. Kyou i thank you for telling me this, I really." He paused for a moment and looked around out of the corner of his eye, see some all ready staring at Eden and Kyou. "We might want to do this latter. Maybe there will be a place in the South where we can continue this in Privet."

[Jake the Sage]

Destined shook his head and continued to walk, mainly ignoring Kyou nand Eden's little lovey dovey moments, as they moved farther and farther into the Southern area. They could see the scenary changing, almost like a line being crossed, as it went from the grassy peaceful areas of the North to the ruined cities that scattered throughout the South.

 

Koya gulped as he glanced around and could remember when he first arrived hear, the cold nights when it was just him, Lora, Akima and Omar. Glancing to Omar he gave a grin and asked about the man who had attacked them a long time ago. At forst Omar didn't know who he was talking about until koya mimiced him and said, "Leave this city!", in a very creepy tone that made everyone laugh.

 

"Actually that was me," Corey said as they climbed over the top of a building, though no one seemed to care or ask why. In the distance they could see what looked like another city resembeling the North's capital, but the closer they got the more it began to look abandoned and out of repair. Passing by it everyone kept their thoughts to themselves as Saul continued to lead the group.

 

"How much longer is this going to take rebel boy?" Destined demanded as the ruined building vanished behind them.

 

As the group neared closer and closer to the group Lora wasn't uncertain thay they'd come back, but had a feeling in the pit of her stomach something was going to happen. Feeling Natalie's hands on her shoulder Lora looked up, "Uh? Oh . . . nothing. I'm just missing them already."

 

She scooted out from underneath Natalie's grip and then turned to Aya, "Okay! Lets get to training!"

[Blake]

Saul ignored Destined and kept walking. No sense in getting into a fight before due time.

 

Black, on the other hand, was still trying to find Sky and Moka, to no evail.

 

He thought.

 

HE continued to search, but got bored and gave up. He pulled out a book and read as they walked.

[-Genesis-]

Kyou smiled at Eden, "Well let's move on, we need to focus now on the mission and save this feeling for a later time." She closed her eyes and focused on being serious and when she opened them it was obvious that she was all business.

 

Akima was shocked when Corey said that the man that had attacked them, "You? Why did you attack us and why were you down here in the South?"

 

Kallen was listening in on the conversation because they were talking about things that had happened before she'd met them. *Corey attacked Lora? He's lucky I wasn't there or I would have torn him limb from limb!*

 

Aya nodded and then frowned, "So should we go see Mitch or try it amongst ourselves?"

 

Natalie turned around and smiled, "Hey, don't forget me, i'm involved now too."

[Jake the Sage]

Lora laughed and nodded at Natalie, saying without words that she knew, and began to walk back into the building. She told the other two that they asked for Mitch's help so it wouldn't make sense to train on their own at all, both of which had to agree, while they opened the door Mitch was standing there waiting for them.

 

"About time you three," he said with a smile, "You're late."

 

"I never attacked Lora Kallen, so don't worry about that," Corey said reading her mind. Omar picked up his pace just enough to walk by Corey and told Kallen that Lora had been sick and this person attacked them, but never really tried to harm them. Corey nodded and explained that he had been in the South relaying messages to the Southern Rebel force when he had seen Lora and the other three heading towards Southern Military territories.

 

"So," he finished, "I had to find a way to turn them around without getting them involved. But Lora took me out faster than I imagined. She's a real power house she is."

 

Corey laughed as he patted his stomach. Koya remembered that it had been a single blast from Lora that had knocked the stranger/Corey away and made him run off, "So if a single blast from Lora was enough to take him out. I wonder how powerful Corey really is?"

 

"Hey now! I'm strong enough to be of some use!" Corey yelled back in emberrassment.

 

As they group continued on their way, carrying on casually, Yaming caught up to Saul and Destined as they kept an eye out. "How much farther guys?"

[Blake]

Saul would reply to Yaming. "Not that far... we should be there before nightfall." He never turned around, but kept walking.

 

Black was behind Destined... by about 10 paces. He wasn't getting close to Saul. Not Yet, at least. HE just listened in.

[Jake the Sage]

Destined grinned, thoughts of the coming battle racing through his mind, and kept up with Saul. He didn't care about being near the guy, even if it did lead to Black beind absent from his side. Seeing as Black wouldn't get too close he figured this would be the best of times to do a little 'background checking' and glanced at Saul.

 

"So what is your relationship to my minion?" he asked bluntly. Yaming walked on Saul's opposite side and listened in curiously; not really knowing the intent Destined had for this information.

[Blake]

"John? A minion? While he is a lackey for you, I assure you, he is not loyal to you. Unless you consider evil loyal to good. That is exaggerated but still. He's my adopted brother, or rather I'm his. He saved me when I was a child and his family took me in, at his urging. We grew up side by side. I took the right path though, and he took a path similar to the one you must've taken." He grinned slightly "One steeped in doom, unless he is stopped. Let me tell you this, Destined. If he gets his powers back, only Mitch and the other Legendaries could stop him again."

 

Black was busy watching the unfolding events, and did not hear 'John' or the description of his powers.
