Struggle Of Powers

[Freeman The Master]

Eden looked confused once they reached there end of the transportation. Kyou must be confused. She thinks I am a Super... These powers are artificial... Maybe I should tell her. But even before he could open his mouth she walked off to help the others. He just shock it off. He looked around and found Lee just looking at the group. "So you ready buddy?" Lee just looked down and nodded. "Are you?" Eden was perplexed at this, but he just lagufed it off. "Yes Lee I am."

[Final Fantasy Revolution]

Braun, who was entrusted with the task of watching over Natalie, was now making sure that there was enough things in her closet as far as sheets, blankets, and pillows went. "Is there anything you require Natalie?" Braun asked, shutting the closet door and then letting go of the doorknob as it made a click. "If you'd like I could ask Mitch and The General to train you to with Aya and Lora." Braun suggested to Natalie.

[-Genesis-]

Kyou tilted her head, "Hmm, well that would put us on their good side, but I'd hate to see you wasted. I have an idea, we'll take you and instead of handing you over we'll offer you as part of the treaty. That way we keep you alive and 'say' that that can have you once the treaty is signed." She turned to Eden, "What do you think?" She smiled and whispered to Lee, "Don't worry about Eden, I will protect him if necessary."

 

Kallen liked the idea and supported it fully, "I say we go for it, cause that way we'll get their attention and they'll work harder to get the treaty signed."

 

Natalie smiled to Braun, "Maybe, I will. I will give me something to do while they're gone. Thank you, could you take me to them?" With that she stood up and pulled a wooden staff out from under her bed, it was about 5ft long and had odd runes carved into it.

[Blake]

Saul nodded. "Why not." He said dead-pan. He walked over to Kyou to shake her hand. "Saul." He said simply as he waited.

 

Then he decided to ask. "You use Ice, or water, right?" He raised an eyebrow a fraction of an inch. "Can you defeat Destined if you need to? You need to be able to. You are the 3rd strongest here... be careful."

[-Genesis-]

Kyou shook his hand, but at his mention of Destined her look darkened, "That fool could,kt leave a mark on me! He doesn't even understand simple chemistry, his flame requires oxygen, I just create a simple airtight ice formation around him and he dies powerlessly by suffocation." She took back her hand, "He's just a monster who wished for power over others. He has no chance of gaining true mastery over his full power if he doesn't give up this quest of his for power over others, it will consume his soul." Then she looked him over, "Why would I need to be careful?"

 

Cougar looked at Kyou she was becoming the good, loving person that she once was. Then he looked over at Eden, *Whereever he is I'm sure Serios is thanking you for saving Kyou from her personal darkness.*

[Blake]

"Because, he has just a little less power than you, and he has John, er- Black. That's why." Saul said matter-of-factly. "Also, he got enraged at me for saying that Yaming over there." He looked at her, "Could beat him in a fight, from judging their strength's. I think she could even beat you." He said, returning his look to Kyou.

[-Genesis-]

Kyou smiled, "Just because she has more power than me doesn't meant that she could beat me, I've had much more experience and of course my power can activate faster than hers. I simply use the moisture in the air, their bodies, and other sources, but yes, if she knew what she was and the true limits of her power then maybe she would." Kyou knew that Yaming was powerful, but she also knew that even if Yaming had her full power, she still might not win because Kyou's had much more experience, and knows her power better. Even though she knows all this she is willing to admit that she could lose.

 

Kallen was getting annoyed now, "Where are Destined, Koya, and Natalie?" Cougar looked at the ground shamefully as he spoke, "Natalie isn't coming, I asked her to stay behind."

[Blake]

"True enough." Saul said. "So do you admit who she is?" He asked, pressing this point further. "OR has your grandfather hidden it from even you? Only trusting Mitch?" HE wasn't trying to antagonize, only trying to get his info. THe Western General might be a Snake after all.

 

Black warped from his spot to behind Kallen. "Right over there." He said, referring to Destined. Then he returned to his spot.

[-Genesis-]

Kyou smiled, "My grandfather is able to hide very little from me. I know who and what she is, but she is not our enemy. I will not speak the title out loud though because the others do not need to know. And even if they did know that wouldn't change their feelings for her. She is their friend and I doubt a title would change that. She will not betray them, before the war the Western Legendary was known as the only one of the four whose very power brought peace." Kyou shook her head, "Let us speak on a different subject, and I'd ask you to not tell her of her true nature, she will know when she's ready, and hopefully for all our sakes not before."

 

Kallen turned to see Black pointing at Destined, "Damn, I was hoping we'd be able to leave him behind. So what's your story, why are you with Destined, what do you get from him for your services."

[Blake]

"Well, sorry to tell you, but you are a bit late. I already know who she is, and how she is. I also told her who she was, and apparently it conflicts with her. Your grandfather would not tell me the truth, even after reading his mind, so I'm not sure he is to be trusted." Saul looked at her. "At least you are honest."

[-Genesis-]

Kyou looked at Saul in shock, "Y-you told her! You fool! If she's not ready and tries to use her power as a Legendary she would cause a cateclism that would wipe out everything within 600miles!" Kyou was ready to kill Saul for acting without thinking, "Why on earth, did you tell her?"

 

Akima sat down and started to take a nap as they waited for Koya.

[Blake]

Saul merely blinked. "I was trying to see if she knew. The general was lying to me, so I searched out the truth. Nothing more. Trust me, cataclysms are nothing I want. John on the other hand..." He trailed off. "Anyways, that was all."

Kyou glared at him, *He's just like Black, not thinking before acting.* " You were just thinking of yourself, not of the consequences that affect others. You and Black are one and the same, fools who act without thinking. Let's just hope that we're lucky and she doesn't try to push herself. Now don't tell anyone else!" Kyou turned away from him and walked back to Eden, "Just in case you condition worsens, I brought two flasks of the pure water for you, as well as some for myself." She smiled radiantly at him, *I can't wait too much longer, I'll have to tell him soon.*

 

Cougar was watching as Saul slowly pissed Kyou off, *What the he'll is he doing? Doesn't he know she could kill him as easily as look at him?* After Kyou walked away he stood and walked over to Saul, "What was that all about? You pissed her off something fierce."

[Blake]

Saul was enraged. He followed after her. "Never compare me to John. EVER." He growled. :I am my own man, and not like him! I didn't know she didn't know! I also was doing it for the sake of my comrades, the Southern REbellion! If we couldn't trust the General with something that important, then ALL was lost! Do you know who told me? Corey!" He finished his rant and assumed his calm demeanor.

 

Black chuckled. Saul getting upset was a very rare thing. A Very rare thing indeed...

Eden smiled at Kyou as he garbed one of the bottles form Her. "Thanks Kyou." He said as he put the pure water in his side pack. "You know it seems when ever I am around you I feel better. He said with a small smile around. "So when are we leaving?"

" The thing's you learn when no one can see, hear, or sense your presants." Josh said as he looked at the people talking right be side him. He was both shocked and amused with the present turn out of event's. " And makeing that woman mad is the least of your worrier's. She can do horrable thing's with out a reson" Josh said rembering back to a time when he had a body,then he looked around to see if maybe someone had heard him, but once again no one had. " maybe one day some one will hear me, and I'll bring this up, but till then..." Josh said anger filling his voice. he just floated their. His ghostly body floating just out of reach from the other's.

Kyou also smiled as Eden said that felt better that he was around, "Thank you." Without thinking she bent forward and kissed him on the cheek. As soon as she realized what she'd done she stepped back and looked down at the ground blushing. Kyou spoke now in a very small and fearful voice, "It seems we're waiting for a man named, Koya, who is to go with the slave group." She felt so angry with herself, but proud at the same time, *Why'd I do that? I should have waited longer, look at the shock on his face. It felt good, no not good, it felt right.*

 

Cougar caught hold of Saul, "Calm down, we don't want a fight. It just so happens I know what you're talking about, but we swore no to say anything because we wanted to prevent a cateclysmic event from occurring. Kyou's just mad because you may have just condemned thousands of people due to your curiosity. I know your about to yell at me, but don't, please just make sure to keep it quiet from now on. I'm sorry we made you fear that you couldn't trust us, but we just can't risk making Yaming force her power." Cougar hoped that Saul understood, *If only Kyou was more quiet and less enraged about it then maybe we wouldn't have this problem.*

Eden blushed bright red the second Kyou kissed Eden. He just stood there silent after that. She kissed me, she really kissed me. What do I do now?!?! Just stay calm. Eden shook his head to snap out of his small little dazed. With Eden still blushing he hired Kyou start talking about Koya. And he just nodded to her as he looked down on the ground to embarrassed to speak.

Kallen walked over just behind Kyou, knowing that she was currently oblivious. Kallen nodded at Lee nd then gestured at Eden and Kyou, hoping that he got the message: That she was going to push Kyou forward and that she wanted Lee to push Eden at the same time. *Please, please let him understand.* She moved into position, and prepared to shove Kyou. *I just hope she doesn't try to kill me afterwards.*

[Jake the Sage]

"Nice to meet you ma'am. You are going for a treaty? Take me," he said bowing and then stood up solemnly, "I am a know Rebel. If you take me as a prisoner, things will be easier for you. What do you think?"

 

Before there was an answer the excited screams from Lora and Aya made everyone look over as the children tackled Kallen and Akima. The General and Mitch slowly followed behind, both smiling as the girls hugged the two and then the others. Lora swung on his arms with Kallen and smiled at them while she ignored the subject; just happy to be with them for a few more minutes. Cougar looked at Kyou as she walked over and kissed Eden; she was becoming the good, loving person that she once was. Then he looked over at Eden, "Where ever he is . . . I'm sure Serios is thanking you right now Eden."

"You'll be leaving now," Mitch answered as he bid Lora and Aya over to him. The General smiled as everyone stood in front of him.

Saul swallowed his pride, and prepared to set out with Kyou. He thought.

 

As he approached, he spoke. "Ready?" He asked without emotion.

 

Black clapped, and said "Oh do we have to?" In an extremely sarcastic manner. He then mumbled "About frickin' time..."

Once Mitch said that they were all ready to leave, Eden brought his head up to Kyou. Finlay... "Okay then." He paused as he sighed form not the problem hes been having but out of Embarrassment. "Well Kyou since it seems were leaving now..." He said looking at the others how where just as ready as he was, maybe a little less. "Since we are lead the way and we shall protect." He said with a strong tone.

[Jake the Sage]

The Northern General coughed and then stated that they'd be heading to the Southern Rebels base and, after dealing with a "small" problem, from there they would go their seperate ways until the goal was met.

 

Lora waved to Kallen and the rest as Corey saluted his boss, Destined mocking him from behind.

" What's the small problem...does any one but me care...." Josh said looking at the old fool.
