Struggle Of Powers

[Jake the Sage]

Corey gave a stifled laugh before scratching the back of his head, "Figured that out that quickly, hu? Well I'm sorry for any problems but its a habit."

[Blake]

"I have power detection." He said eyes glued, "And even if I didn't, you still asked me why I needed to see the general before I said it aloud." He chuckled. "Seriously though, I feel John, and 3, no, 4 really strong people. Who are the strongest here? An Ice user, a Fire user, and Another... a legendary or two perhaps?"

[Jake the Sage]

Corey frowned and then his eyes opened wide when he heard that there was more than one Legendary. Grabbing Saul he looked at him sternly, "Are you sure? Absolutely without a doubt, one hundred and ten perchent, completely with no room for error sure!?"

[Blake]

"Pretty Darn." He said Frankly "One Male, and One Female, although she seems to be restrained. Why?" He asked. "Does this surprise you?" He showed his first emotion, as he was surprised.

 

Black warped behind Aya. "What's the problem here?" He asked with a grin, as Kyou approached.

[Jake the Sage]

Corey set Saul back on the ground and thought for a moment, thinking about all of the stories he had heard about the Legendarys, "That . . . isn't possible," he thought then whispered, "She's dead . . ."

 

Black had suprised Aya and Lora quickly answered back, "Nothing!"

[-Genesis-]

After listening to Lora's explanation Kyou smiled, "Well then it seems you solved you own problem. I'll be going then." She turned and an ice flower enveloped her and disappeared. She reappeared outside the kitchen and walked inside, "Chef Farcius, is Eden's food ready?" The chef turned to face her, "Yes milady, I was about to have it brought up to him." Kyou waved him off, "No need I'll take it to him myself." With that she grabbed the platter without thinking, "Wait! Be careful, it's very hot!" Kyou snapped her hand back as she burned herself on the platter, "Damn. No, no, I'll be fine." She closed her eyes for a moment and Chef Farcius put the platter onto a tray, "Here you are milady." Kyou nodded her thanks and took it. She walked out of the kitchen and disappeared inside another flower. She reappeared outside the door to her room and knocked on the door. She waited there for him to come and open it.

 

Aya ran up to Lora as Kyou left, "So shall we go find Mitch?" She smiled and took the map back and ran off, "catch me if you can!" It was a joke because they both knew that Lora could catch up to Aya easily.

 

Kallen and Akima were immediately on their guard when they saw Saul, "Corey what's going on?" Then before Corey answered, Kallen noticed a faint crying, "What is that? Is someone crying?"

[Blake]

"Who's dead?" He asked, and quickly touched Corey. "Now, you can't hide anything from me." Saul said, removing his hand. "Now, tell me the deal." He glared at Corey as he waited. Saul noticed the new comers "I'm Saul of the Southern Rebels. You are, my fair ladies?" He asked, sounding like Black for a second. they DID grow up together.

 

"Nothing?" Black raised an eyebrow and gave a cocky grin. "This didn't look like 'nothing'. Am I right?" Then he saw them leaving "Don't ignore me!" He fumed.

Hearing Aya Lora glanced back at Black and then began to follow her, hoping Black wouldn't follow. As they ran Black, much to Lora's annoyance, followed.

 

"Nothing?" Black raised an eyebrow and gave a cocky grin, "This didn't look like 'nothing'. Am I right?"

 

"We're playing!" she called back as Kallen and Akima had met up with Corey and Saul. Corey's expression was what worried them more than anything. Giving a few shaky breaths he straightened himself out and juggled with the idea of telling them or not.

 

"Who's dead?" Saul asked, and quickly touched Corey, "Now, you can't hide anything from me."

 

Saul removed his hand and glared at COrey as he waited. Whatever he had done didn't seem to work at first, but then Corey said something he didn't want to, "The Western Legendary is here."

 

Realizing what he had just blurted out Corey clasped his hands over his mouth in shock.

[Blake]

Saul raised his eyebrow. "Well, Well."

 

Black followed after Kyou, and he warped after to try and catch up. Instead, he stopped when he saw Saul. "You...." He growled.

 

Saul and Black were in their own world now. "Hello, John." Saul said. Black Snapped "My Name is Marsuvees or Black! Not JOHN!" He said with venom. The two watched each other carefully. Saul could still read minds, and Black could still warp, so neither had the upper hand, although Black didn't know it. He just knew to be cautious.

[-Genesis-]

Aya slowed as she noticed that the path on the map changed, "Huh? That doesn't make sense unless..." She turned back to Lora, "Hey! Mitch moved, he's actually back in the main hall now!" She waited for Lora to catch up before she started running again.

 

Not far from where Corey, Kallen, Akima, and Saul were Natalie sat still against the wall still crying. She hadn't felt this much hurt since Peter and Charlotte died, she knew that Cougar wasn't trying to hurt her, but that didn't change anything and she still cried, barely able to make a conscious thought.

 

Kallen looked to Corey's hesitant face, "Wait what!?! How could the Western Legendary be here!" She could still hear the crying so she decided to ask Corey, "Dammit! Corey is it me or do you hear someone crying?"

 

While Kyou stood outside her room waiting for Eden to open the door she became absorbed in her thoughts. *It's odd, I haven't used my talents as a healer in a long time and yet, the first time I see him in pain - have to help him. I don't understand, what is it about him that amkes me feel so protective.*

[Jake the Sage]

"Wait . . . What!? How could the Western Legendary be here!" Kallen exclaimed as she could still hear the crying, "Dammit! Corey is it me or do you hear someone crying?"

 

Thanking the Gods for a distraction he nodded his head, "Yes! Why not go see who it is?"

 

He turned to leave only to hear Yaming's thoughts giving away the fact that she had already reached Natalise and was consulting her. He cursed as his only means of 'escape' were gone. Looking over his shoulder he could see Koya, who had given up helping Todou, arriving and being brought up to speed; oh this wasn't going well he thought to himself. Skidding to a stop in front of Natalie and Yaming Aya noticed that the path on the map changed, "Huh? That doesn't make sense unless . . . Hey! Mitch moved! He back in the main hall now!"

 

Lora nodded her head and the two sped past the two groups without stopping. Black and Saul were oblivious, almost in their own little world, while everyone else stopped and looked around the corner when the two children ran past them. Black and Saul's powers rose as a fight was becoming more and more likely, yet once again a miracle arrived to make sure this wouldn't happen; and that was the General himself.

 

"Oh hohoho! So many of you outside my office, hmmm? Do you all have a quesiton for me?"

[Blake]

Black didn't care. "Silence, old man." He growled, his true nature showing. "Remember what I said, Corey." Saul warned, and kept Black's eyes. "Sir." He said to the general, "I am from the Southenr Rebellion. I have been sent to meet with you."

[Jake the Sage]

The General ignored Saul, not being rude, but having his mind preoccupied as he waddled over to Black. When he finally broke eye contact with his enemy he was suprised to see the General glaring at him so feriousisly that it even gave him shivers. Grabbing his wrist the General twisted him around and held him on the floor, making any motion Black could make hurt so incredibly bad it felt as if his arm would snap, "What was that now my dear boy?"

[Blake]

*Facepalm* TEST!

Black warped out from under the man. "Sorry, I was hot headed." He glared at Saul and faded. Saul shook his head. "Umm sir?" He asked. "About my mission.."

[-Genesis-]

Kallen stood her ground and waited top hear about the Western Legendary, "Corey tell us where the Legendary is. We can't just let him wander around here freely!" She suddenly had a thought of having Corey call for Kyou.

 

Although Yaming was with her Natalie was unable to stop crying long enough to say anything. So instead she grabbed onto Yaming and cried into her shoulder.

 

Aya turned around and took a side hall and smiled, "Hey Lora, want to know what the map says the fastest way to the main hall is?" She looked both excited and nervous as she asked Lora.

 

Akima turned when the General walked out of his office, "I'm sorry if we disturbed you sir, but Corey's just said that the Western Legendary was here!"

As Kyou knocked on the door to bring the food, Eden could smell the aroma of it though the door way. He paused for a moment as he took in the smell of it all and almost started to drool a bit. He rushed to the door opening it as fast as he could, reviling Kyou and his meal. He saw the tray she was holding, instantly he took it form her hands and brought it to the table. He wanted to just rip off the lid and start to dig in form what he could but even though this new hunger was driving him madd, he took off the top dome of the Platter, as he did he just stared at the food for a moment. But that moment was short lived for him, with him garbing his froke and knife he started to dig in. Eating faster then he ever done before.

Corey's eyes grew almost as big as dinner plates as he shook his hands as if trying to deny it, but in the end had to face the facts and admit it. Pointing to Saul he explained that he had sensed the power of another Legendary with them. After hearing all of this the General gave his trademark laugh and shook his head.

 

"My dear children . . . the Legendary of the West no longer a part of our world. She is no conern to any of you, nor would you have any reason to fear her if the eventuality of meeting her would arise," he explained as everyone listened. After finishing he turned his attention to Saul, "Now you said you needed to speak to me?"

 

"Hey Lora, want to know what the map says the fastest way to the main hall is?" She looked both excited and nervous as she asked Lora. Tilting her head in curiosity Lora asked what it was, with a bit of hope that it'd be something darring and would have the chance of getting them in trouble; because its no fun if it isn't something you aren't supposed to be doing, by her reasoning.

 

Koya had puzzled a lot over what the Northern General had meant, while he entered his room with Saul, each person seemed to be stumped as Yaming gently lead Natalie towards them. Clapping his hands loud enough to make everyone jump he yelled out, "I got it!!!"

[Blake]

. "Sorry to be rude, sir," Saul began "But don't lie. I borrowed mind reading from Corey here and I know you are hiding it. The South will have no interest in a dishonest treaty." He stood, solemn, contrary to Black's incessant smiling.

[Jake the Sage]

The General gave a sigh, holding onto the door knob, and shook his head. He wish something like this hadn't of happened and further wished for a bit of help, "Children . . . the Legendary of the West is-"

 

"She's been dead for a very long time," Mitch interrupted as he walked down the hall with his pocket watch swaying, "Any power felt from her is clearly a mistake."

 

Everyone looked amongst each other and Koya almost got a smile over it, for he had thought the same thing, and they wondered if Saul had been wrong.

[Blake]

SAul glowered at this new man. His mind reading was fading, but he knew the truth. "Fine. I think my job here is done." He said without emotion, and he turned to leave. He figured John would reappear, but he wasn't sure. He somewhat hoped not.

 

Black sat brooding outside, having not been allowed to fight, AND for losing Kyou.

[-Genesis-]

Kallen looked at Saul, "You said that you were from the Southern Rebels, so how would you know what the government would and wouldn't go for? The way I see it if we offered them a treaty then they'd pounce on it, they'd want military support against you rebels. So why wouldn't they take it? The North has never shown any signs of aggression to the South."

 

Akima looked at her in awe, *How is it that she knows so much? Oh wait what am I saying she was a memeber of the Western Military and hid out in the South for 3 years.*

 

Natalie was basically being carried by Yaming as she couldn't even compose her thoughts much less words or actions. Right now she was crying weaker, silent tears. She was such a mess that if Yaming's grip weakened at all Natalie would quite literally crumple to the ground.

 

Outside Cougar was in one of the cities combat training facilities for soldiers. He was angry with himself and needed to blow off some steam, so he'd decided to go get into a fight, without using his powers.

 

Aya walked over to the window and looked at the beautiful stained glass, "The fastest way is to go through this window. Mitch's moved to a room just below us. The only other way I can think of that would be fast is to go through the floor." Aya was excited, but she was also afraid at how much trouble they'd be in if they broke the window or the floor.

 

At Eden's haste to eat Kyou laughed cheerfully, "Well now, aren't we a little impatient." She walked over to sit on the opposite side of the desk and watched him eat, *Well at least he's trying to use manners while eating so quickly,* Kyou folded he hands in front of her face and waited, but by doing so the sleeves of her robe moved a bit revealing.to Eden the burn she'd gotten earlier. This was starting to get confusing, she was like a totally different person then the one she was when she'd arrived.

[Blake]

SAul stopped and considered her words. "We are all for a Treaty, but not with dishonest people. I could go find the legendary myself, OR they could tell me. There will be complications if I find her. That guy over there is the male one." He gestured to Mitch. "Now, last chance general. Is a subordinate going to speak for you?" Solemn as always.

[Jake the Sage]

The General opened the door and bid Saul to come along, but never waited as he slowly went for his chair. AS the two men walked inside Koya and the rest were discussing their plans and if the Southern Military would even take the bait; which Kallen sincerely thought they would.

 

"I think so too," was all Koya could add before the sound of breaking glass made everyone jump and look to see Lora and Aya fall through the floor instead; having broken the window with a rock. Looking up to see everyone Lora smiled in emberrassment, knowing they had been caught red handed, "Uh . . . hey?"

 

"So . . . this is where Aya and Lora are," Yaming said carrying Natalie around like a overgrown baby.

[Blake]

SAul stepped inside. "Yes sir?" He asked. "What is it?" He ignored an urge to smirk. He heard the shattering glass, but ignored it.

 

Black, on the other hand, heard the Glass. He sped to where the sound came from, and saw Lora and Aya. HE chuckled "Yep, that did not sound like 'nothing."

[Jake the Sage]

"I've been recieving troubeling news from some of your troops about a monster," the General began as he held up a file and tossed it to Saul, "Would you mind explaining?"
