Struggle Of Powers

Kiria whirled on Ike, "They sent us a week forward! They couldn't make this so quickly, and Andrew couldn't beat us here! If they were expecting you a few days ago then whoever did this made us skip getting here finding the resistance's camp and tracking them away from here!"

Aya stood next to Lora as she went to Destined. She was scared, but also felt safe with Lora there.

Natalie and Cougar fell asleep themselves after watching Kallen sleep for so long.

Todou ate and watched as Akima and Omar attacke the food infront of them like starving animals.

"They sent us a week forward! They couldn't . . . Andrew couldn't be . . . If they were expecting you . . . then whoever did this?"

Ike shook his head as Andrew waited at the door; speaking to Kiria and Alisa he gave low whispers so no one else could hear, "We are a week before the attack. For now I saw we act normally."

"Are you two coming?" Andrew said with growing impatiance. Nodding his head Ike took hold of Alisa's shoulder and forced her to come along, leaving Kiria in a building a week before it was fated to die.

Spotting Destined Lora had ran toward him, calling his name as he got closer. Black, Sky and Moka were around Destined, who had just woken up a few minutes ago; though Darren and Kyba had walked off. Finished freshening up, Destined turned to see Lora bounding toward him, "Yet another annoyance . . ." he thought as he rubbed his temples. In a cold tone he addressed her, "What?"

Hearing the cold response she stopped and looked at him, her hands resting on her hips. "I was just going to ask if you guys were going to eat before we leave."

Lora began to form an energy ball in her hand as she glared at Destined, not going to back down. She stopped as a hand pushed Destined's hands down, while extinguishing the fire. "Now now Destined . . . aren't we all on the same side?"

Yaming had stepped away from the dinner to go make sure Lora hadn't ran into trouble in her search for Destined. Luckily she was able to get in between them before a fight broke out. Destined knew she could negate his powers, and that he needed her to trust him. What other options did he have?

Yaming gave a sigh and shook her head, not knowing what to do with him. They were on the same team yet Destined acted as if he wanted nothing to do with them. Deciding to confront him later she turned to the rest and gave a charming smile, "Anyone else hungry?"

With nods all around the group returned as Lora stared at the spot Destined had vanished from. Hearing Yaming call for her she turned around, glanced back, and then raced off to finish the meal she had prepared.

Haruto tended the sick boy in the infirmary at the base. Under his breath he whispered to himself, "What am i doing here..... Tending children? I should be helping people more in need than this...." With that he sent a prayer to God, asking for this poor childs health to return. With that he straightened up and popped his back.

In a louder voice. "Now i want you to rest up ok? You just had a mild cold, but in the morning you should be better." He began to put away his instruments as the boy skipped out of the tent, carefree.

Speaking to the empty infirmary as he cleaned up. "Ever since that battle with my brother I've had nothing real to do. Bless this evil tomato plant, father. Cure my boy from his broken leg, father. This world will die before common sense returns." He sighed, his cleaning up complete.

With that done he headed home, walking across the entrance to the base, heading for a small nondescript cot he called a temporary home, in his wandering lifestyle. His robes billowed slightly in the wind, showing his simple clothes, contrasting sharply with one katana at each hip and his quarterstaff slung across his back.

Destined sat atop a tree, looking at the night sky with Lucifer in his hands. He seriously pondered the thought of leaving...

"Pathetic freaks," he said. Using his mind, he grabbed a few leaves from a tree and made them revolve around his head.

"You need them.." Lucifer simply said. Then he laughed hoarsely, cruelly.. As much as Destined hated them he did need them, if only for a moment.

"I hate it when you're right," Destined replied. He shot a thin stream of violet flame in the air, burning the leaves.

Black wandered through the night forest, looking for Destined. , Black thought, . Then, He heard Destined's voice and headed that way. Then he froze. Who was the other voice he heard? <... is that can be anyone we know...> Black thought as he listened.

TTEESSTT

Lucif was glad to be back on Destined's head. Ah, the warmth. However, the moment he was back on his master's head, the burning leaves dropped... Odd.

"... Master." Lucifer hardly referred to Destined as "Master" or "Destined"... This had to be something serious.

"Yes?" Destined asked.

"Will you..."

"...Will l...?" Destined waited.

"Will you... Ever..."

"What? Will l ever what?" Destined was becoming impatient.

"Will... Will you ever leave me?..." The hat's reply...

Alisa followed Ike's lead, she never really felt like going against him unless she knew something was up, or if it was something that she was familiar with. In this case though she didn't have a clue, so she just followed his lead. In order to keep Kiria with them she released the catch on her right arm and it lengthened along a long metallic cable inside her arm and grabbed Kiria's hand dragging him along.

Kiria was angry, stunned, and happy all at the same time. They were in the past, before Catherine had died, but after she had left with Aya. This meant that if they waited the time warp out that he would have a slight window in which he could tell Catherine about Pulse and the attack. He could rewrite the past and make the Resistance fail!

Akima stood up as he finished his meal and went off to rest, "I'll wake Kallen, she's gonna want to take the night watch." He turned and headed off to where he'd left Kallen earlier only to find Natalie and Cougar lying cuddled together asleep. He quietly went passed them and woke Kallen, "Huh? What? Oh Akima, what's going on?" Akima smiled at the puzzled look on Kallen's face, "You were asleep for a long time. Would you mind taking the night watch?" She stood up almost immediately, "Of course. Also, you look tired, was watching after Lora really that bad?" Akima chuckled and thought about their 'game' earlier, "You have no idea." With that he went to find a place to sleep.

Kallen was thinking that she'd heard a hint of humor in Akima's voice when she suddenly noticed Aya walk over half asleep and climb under the blanket with the sleeping Natalie and Cougar. *Well it looks like I may be alone tonight.* She wandered off to find a good lookout post in the trees.

Todou laid down next to the picnic spot and pulled his cloak over himself and waited for sleep to take him.

Haruto had wandered far into the woods and purposely got himself lost, wandering around. As he rounded a bend in path he stopped at a small clearing and started gathering wood, content to spend the night in the woods, after building a small fire. From off his back he pulled a sleeping bag and rolled it out, next piling the sticks slightly away from the bag, lining the fire pit with rocks to help contain it. With a small prayer to God he struck the flint to the tinder and had a fire going quickly. That done, he sat down and warmed his hands, the chill of the night quick to nip at him.

<*begins to read all of the posts* AUGH! *head explodes and lifeless body falls over*>

<*head reforms and I shake my head* Yikes . . . oh well . . . we're about due for a . . . JUMP POST!!!>

[spoiler= Enjoy reading all of THIS!]

Destined knew she could negate his powers, and that he needed her to trust him; he really didn't have any other options. In anger he snatched his hands away and yelled at her, "Get off of me!!!"

Yaming gave a sigh and shook her head as she watched him walk off, not knowing what to do with him. They were on the same team yet Destined acted as if he wanted nothing to do with them. Destined stopped and turned around, tipping his hat as he did, "You people make it harder and harder for me, l swear!"

"Its not our fault you won't eat! Big baby . . ." Josh commented as he floated through a tree. He knew no one could hear or see him, but he was getting bored. He stopped halfway though the tree as Destined began to walk away, then made one last address to the other, "Don't look for me."

With that warning he disappeared into the forest as Lolra stuck out her tongue. Josh yelled in anger at Destined, knowing he was messing with his widowed wife, "I won't then! If you die then more company for me!"

Josh opened his eyes and thought, "Oh wait . . . if he dies then I'll be stuck with him for who knows how long.", "Don't Die You Fool!"

Yaming decided to confront Destined later and turned to the rest, giving a charming smile, "Anyone else hungry?"

With nods Moka, Sky, Darren and Kyba returned as Lora stared at the spot Destined had vanished from. Hearing Yaming call for her she turned around, glanced back to see Black remaining in his spot, and then with a shrug she raced off to finish the meal she had prepared.

Black stared at the spot Where Destined had vanished from, unlike the others, he wasn't hungry and thought to himself, "Who put a bee in his bonnet? If he does that, we will be jettisoned from the group... I have an idea." With that, Black Warped to the forest edge and walked out. He wandered through the night forest, looking for Destined. "Man . . . I wish I could call out. But I can't alert the others."

Then, Black could hear Destined's voice in the distance and headed the direction it came from. Reaching Destined he saw him sitting atop a tree, looking at the night sky with Lucifer in his hands. He seriously pondered the thought of leaving, "Pathetic freaks . . ."

"You need them," Lucifer simply said. Then he laughed hoarsely, cruelly. As much as Destined hated them he did need them, if only for a moment. Using his mind, he grabbed a few leaves from a tree and made them revolve around his head, "I hate it when you're right."

He shot a thin stream of violet flame in the air, burning the leaves. Lucifer was glad to be back on Destined's head; ah, the warmth. However, the moment he was back on his master's head, the burning leaves dropped . . . odd., "Master?"

Lucifer hardly referred to Destined as 'Master' or 'Destined'; which caught Destined's attention, "Yes?"

"Will . . . Will you ever leave me?"

Destined made no answer as Black watched from the distance . . .

Standing up as he finished his meal, Akima went off to rest, "I'll wake Kallen, she's gonna want to take the night watch."

Lora mumbled something through her meal as she took big bite after big bite, occasionally choking and making Aya laugh. Everyone was happy in that moment as they had their peace and quiet; Destined excluded. As Koya patted Lora's back, who was just recovering from nearly choking to death, Akima turned and headed off to where he'd left Kallen earlier; only to find Natalie and Cougar lying cuddled together asleep. He quietly went passed them and woke Kallen, "Huh?! Wha!? Oh . . . Akima? what's going on?"

Akima smiled at the puzzled look on Kallen's face while she wiped the sleep from her eyes and gave a yawn, "You were asleep for a long time. Would you mind taking the night watch?"

Standing up Kallen gave another long yawn and scratched her head, "Maybe I was asleep too long", she thought with Akima asking her to take the night watch, "Of course. You look tired, was watching after Lora really that bad?"

Akima chuckled and thought about their 'game' earlier, "You have no idea."

With those words he went to find a place to sleep. Kallen had noticed a hint of humor in Akima's voice but noticing Aya crawl over, half asleep herself, and climb under the blanket with the sleeping Natalie and Cougar she forgot about it. Smiling she could only think, "Well . . . it looks like I may be alone tonight." She wandered off to find a good lookout post in the trees and watched as everyone got ready for bed.

Stuck A Week Before The Resistance Attacked The Base- Ike, Alisa and Alisa had a rare opperunity!

Andrew had ordered Ike and Alisa too come into the lab for an evaluation; which Ike followed without quesiton. Alisa followed Ike's lead, she never really felt like going against him unless she knew something was up or if it was something that she was familiar with. In this case though she didn't have a clue, so she just followed his lead. In order to keep Kiria with them she released the catch on her right arm and it lengthened along a long metallic cable inside her arm and grabbed Kiria's hand dragging him along.

"Alisa," Andrew said as they android stopped, "Kiria does not have clearance into the lab. He has to remain outside."

Ike turned and nodded his head, letting her know he had to stay outside. Reluctantly she let his hand go and followed the two into the lab. Both mechanical doors wooshed open quickly and then shut behind Alisa as she stepped inside. Seeing two cold metal tables she shivered as Ike got up and laid down on one, motioning for her to do the same. Getting on top of it she laid down, following Ike's lead as Andrew strapped them in with a short of leather.

"Now lets see what we have here," Andrew said as he clicked a few button that made wires spring from the tables and attatch to Ike. She second these wires connected with Ike's body his eyes rolled into the back of his head and he went offline; this obviously frieghtened Alisa as she struggled. Clicking the buttons for Alisa's chair the wires attached to her and she could feel her conciousness slipping, the last thing she heard was Andrew's goive saying "Good night Alisa . . ."

His thoughts raced as he heard someone knocking at the door and then bust it down. Walking inside was a man with reddish colored skin and horns. Spitting a bit of fire, which died out before hitting the floor, the man looked around as guards pretended he wasn't there.

"Fine welcome indeed . . ."

"What am I doing here . . . tending to minor injuries for children?! I should be helping people more in need than this," With that he sent a prayer to the Gods, asking for this poor child's health to return. With that he straightened up and popped his back, "Now I want you to rest up, OK!? You just had a mild cold, but in the morning you should be better."

He began to put away his instruments as the boy skipped out of the tent, carefree. Speaking to the empty infirmary as he cleaned up, ""Ever since that battle with my brother I've had nothing real to do. Bless this evil tomato plant, father. Cure my boy from his broken leg, father. This world will die before common sense returns!" he sighed, his clean up finished. With that done he headed home, walking across the entrance to the base, heading for a small nondescript cot he called a temporary home in his wandering lifestyle. His robes billowed slightly in the wind, showing his simple clothes, contrasting sharply with one katana at each hip and his quarterstaff slung across his back.

Haruto walked out the gates, along his usual morning path, enjoying the morning sunlight amidst nature, listening to the birds. He spoke to himself as he walked along the path, seeing no one around, "I just love this morning air!"

As he continued to walk a man in a cloak bumped into him and continued walking. Ignoring the man's rudeness he thought for a second he could see a tail beneath the end of the cloak. Forgetting about it he continued to walk into the forest. Haruto had wandered far into the woods and got himself lost; wandering around. As he rounded a bend he stopped at a small clearing and started gathering wood, content to spend the night in the woods, after building a small fire. He pulled a sleeping bag and rolled it out, with a small prayer he sat down and warmed his hands; the chill of the night quick to nip at him. He soon found his eyes growing weary and soon fell asleep . . .

Destined chuckled. He always did this. Lucifer asked this question at least 3 times a day in different tones.

"No, Lucifer, l will never abandon you..." Destined said, closing his eyes. "Although you're a cursed hat... I don't think l have it in me to throw you away. You've been with me forever. When l was normal.. When l was reborn as Destined..."

He sighed deeply.

"I see you still remember my old name. That part of me died, Lucifer. And he isn't coming back to life."

The hat didn't reply.

Kallen sat up in a tree watching as everyone in their camp went to sleep one-by-one. *Well the least I can do is my part.* She activated her proximity sensors in her arm and immediately noticed that there was someone nearby in a tree. Kallen stood up on the branch and leapt though the trees to a point where she could watch and listen to the person. She saw it was Destined and smiled, *After everything that's happened, he's still here. I'm surprised, I would have thought that he'd have either left us or betrayed us already. I guess people really do change.*

As Alisa's mechanical mind slipped away, she was still awake and conscious. What no one in the Western Military knew was that she was actually human, in a way. She was once human, a super in fact, her power was that she could implant her mind into an inanimate object and control it. A long time ago she'd almost died and as she was dying she implanted herself into the android unit that was next to her, it was unfinished and imperfect, but it was a body so she took it. She finished it and upgraded it, her humanity was her greatest advantage over Ike. She also prided herself on an addition to her body of her own making, a Luminous Core, a special power core that couldn't be shut down and created an infinite amount of energy. She didn't think like a machine, she could plan and act impulsively, she wasn't restricted by the limitations of an A.I. unit. Despite all this she let her body lay there not moving and such, giving the impression that Andrew had actually shut her down. She laid there listening as the door opened and the General walked in, *What does he want with us now, this is a week ago and I was in the Northern Mountains a week ago so I must have originally missed this.*

As the reddish man burst through the door Kiria summoned the Six Blade Sword and took a combat stance. He was completely bored and had already decided to look for a fight, when the monstrosity burst through he smiled, *Looks like the fight is coming to me.* With a smirk he looked over the intruder, "Well this should be fun."

Haruto had awoken several hours before, and with a little luck, had found his way home. After treating another broken arm he went back home again, fearing nothing would ever lift his spirits. He sat on the bed for awhile, studying his staff and carving an image into it, his long lost love. Halfway through the carving he began to feel as if something was wrong. Upon feeling uneasy, he sprung out of his hut and walked toward the general area, fearing the worst. No novice at combat, he brought his weapons so that he may smite evil wherever it may be.

Haruto had awoken several hours later and, with a little luck, had found his way home. After treating another broken arm along the way he headed to his quarters; fearing nothing would ever lift his spirits. He sat on the bed for awhile, studying his staff and carving an image into it; his long lost love. Halfway through the carving he began to feel as if something was wrong. Acting on this feeling uneasiness he leapt from his bed and bounded out of his hut, running towards what the villagers had titled "Desolation Ironworks"because of its massive size. No novice at combat, he brought his weapons so that he could fight whatever evil he had sensed.

A few seconds ago there was a knock at the door . . . now it had been blasted down and the person responsable was walking inside. From what Kiria could see this man had reddish colored skin and horns.

"Fine welcome indeed!" he mocked as he spit a bit of fire, which died out before hitting the floor, then looked around as guards pretended he wasn't there. Kiria summoned the Six Blade Sword and took a combat stance, he was completely bored and had already decided to look for a fight, "Looks like the fights come to me."

With a smirk he looked over the intruder, "Well this should be fun."

The man stopped and looked at Kiria as he held the Six Blade Sword, ready to strike at a moments notice. Getting a fang toothed grin he walked over to his 'enemy' and lightly sliced his finger on the serrated edge of the sword, letting the blood ooze out and then licking it off his finger, "Marvelious blade Kiria! I'd expect nothing less from the former Captain of the Death Knights."

The explosion at the front entrance had made a few of the guards nervious enough to burst into Andrew's lab as he switched Ike and Alisa's mechanical minds into hibernation. They didn't burst, which was their ultimate mistake, and began to yell, "Sir Andrew! We have a situ-"

With a single strike Andrew managed to decapitate all four guards as they came into the room. Standing up he wiped his arm of the blood and gave a sigh, "I should not have done that. Now I am going to go and see what they were talking about." So Andrew secured the room before walking outside to see the man standing next to Kiria, who already was itching to fight, "Bordimour! I believe a soldier of the South should enter another countries base properly . . . and not blast down our doors. Now what is the meaning of this!?"

The man began to laugh, his pierced devilish tongue wiggling as he held his sides, as he took of the hood of his cloak. Now being able to see him properly Kiria was absolutely sure he was standing in front of a hell spawn- a demon! His features were pointed, his nose, eyes, ears, teeh, even his finger nails were unnatualy pointed and looked just as sharp. Jutting from his forehead was two long curved horns than ended in fine tips, which shined in the light; one could believe this Bordimour polished them. "That is Andrew for you. Always business. No fun what-so-ever."

With Andrew having left them within hibernation mode, Alisa's mechanical mind faded into the blackness of unconciousness; yet she was still awake and conscious.

She laid there listening as the door opened and the General walked in, "What does he want with us now, this is a week ago and I was in the Northern Mountains a week ago so I must have originally missed this."

Andrew had came back in after his conversation with Bordimour and Kiria, having avoided a fight between the two, and saw the General standing over both android's deactivated bodies. Pushing his glasses up Andrew walked over to the concial and turned to the General.

"Are they both deactivated?"

"Of course, sir."

"And?"

"I ran all of the normal protocals. As we believed, Ike is still on his mission in the Eastern territories and Alisa's local is somewhere three hundred miles within the Northern Mountains."

"And yet they're here with us, and still somewhere else at the same time."

Andrew huff as he smiled, turning back to the concial and typing so fast Alisa couldn't believe the computer could keep up. She then felt something, like a mesquitto bitting at the back of her head, and then like a red-hot needle was being pushed into her, "Our only answer for these two androids is parrallel time travel. Their memory banks hold a weeks worth more information than the Ike and Alisa of our time."

"And? How did they get here?"

"My only assumption would be the Legendary of the North. Yet this is conflicting with our data about him. From what he have gathered from our Legendary he is a peaceful man, the original Super who had opposed code named 'Black Night' back at the begining of the war. I am accessing Alisa's memories as we speak."

"Good. Collect all of the data and report it to me immediately." The General commanded as he left the room. Alisa could feel the red hot sensation travelling all throughout her head and struggled not to make a motion that would alert Andrew that she was concious. Hearing him stop typing she peeked and saw Andrew, an evil looking grin as his fingers rested on the final keys he had punched in, "So . . . an invasion? By-"

Andrew's fingers press a few more keys as the memories are accessed. Alisa felt helpless as her own memories were shown on the screen of Andrew's eyes to look through, "A group of Supers. Hmmm . . . what is this? Betrayed by Death Knight Pulse and Catherine's demise? Now this is interesting."

Taking the data from both Alisa and Ike Andrew stored it within a holodisk and left the room, setting both Androids on charge mode as he shut and alarmed the doors. He had the information now, all of it.

Destined chuckled; Lucifer always did this. He asked this question at least three times a day in different tones, "No, Lucifer, l will never abandon you. Although you are a cursed hat . . . I don't think have it in me to throw you away. You've been with me forever. When I was normal . . . when I was reborn as I am now."

Destined sighed deeply as the memory of his rebirth came back to him, "I see you still remember my old name. That part of me died, Lucifer. And he isn't coming back to life."

The hat didn't reply as Black watched from the distance, stunned at the weirdest conversation he had ever heard, "The hat talks? And has emotions? I wonder what was Destined's old name . . ." He pondered as turned around and began to walk away, "I don't have it in me to talk to them right now." Lucifer suddenly cackled, Destined knew what it was for already, "Black . . . I already know you're there!"

"Well the least I can do is my part," Kallen sat up in a tree watching as everyone in their camp went to sleep one-by-one and activated the proximity sensors in her arm, immediately noticing that there was someone nearby in a tree.

Standing up on the branch she leapt though the trees to a point where she could watch and listen to said person. Landing far enough away not to be sensed, must less seen or heard, she saw that it was Destined and smiled, "After everything that's happened, he's still here. I'm surprised . . . I would have thought that he'd have either left us or betrayed us already. I guess people really do change- or at least a little."

[Really Jake that Jump post wasn't that bad. I read the whole thing in 3 minutes.]

<@Andrew: The thing is writting it. HOW long? I believe about two-three hours; give or take the IMs and other interruptions.>

Haruto had stopped in front of the two massive doors, which had been completely blown off their hinges, his quarterstaff already in his hands. He entered the room slowly, his thoughts focused on keeping his powers close should he need them, "What happened here!?"

"I did you little-" and the last thing Haruto saw before his vision faded was a red creature. Feeling himself land on the ground the muffled voices of two people arguing mixed with the ringing in his head. Then the sensation of being lifted up and carried . . . followed by more arguing and another hard landing on what felt like a cold stone floor. AS his hearing returned the sharp sound of a lock clicking shut made him jump. Clearing his eyes he finally saw where he was- a jail cell in a damp, cold, windowless room. "What've I gotten myself into?"

Kallen sat on the branch watching Destined, spot Black and laughed to herself. *Very few can actually hide like me, then again the fact that I know where everyone in a 2 mile radius is, I have a pretty unfair advantage.* She looked down at her scanner in her arm to watch everyone around her.

Alisa had listened to everything that the General and Andrew had said, *Dammit, I can't let them change the past! It'll trap Kiria in his pathetic form of slavery in Catherine's hands and end my one chance at freeing Ike and myself from this life of no control. I won't allow that to happen!* Using her power to control the inanimate object of the Android body she sat up and disconnected herself from the system. Then she used her Luminous Core to re-energize her body completely making her weapons and other component's available. Alisa went to the door and sealed it in a way that when it didn't open it would seem like a technological malfunction. Then she walked over to Ike lying on the table, she raised her hand pointing it at him and a cord came out of her wrist, went behind his head and plugged into the jack at the base of his neck, linking up with him. "Ike, it's me Alisa, I need to talk to you before I reactivate you. The General and Andrew just looked over the extra weeks worth of information that we had in us. They plan to change the past and I plan to stop them and keep everything the way it belongs. If I reactivate you, will you try to stop me?" Alisa asked him so blatantly, because when communicating in this way they couldn't lie.

As Andrew left Bordimour and Kiria alone Kiria smiled, now knowing who it was that had burst in dispersed the Six Blade Sword, and summoned, Masamune. "You remember Masamune, don't you? It was the blade that slew hundreds of your bretherin who tried to fell this angel." Kiria tingled with anticipation, "A Demon and an Angel, oh what a fight this shall be..."
