Struggle Of Powers

[-Genesis-]

Akima was laying down on the middle of the clearing wondering what to do next.

 

Todou was having a lot of fun with their advanced game of hide-and-seek although he wondered how it was going to end.

 

Kiria walked up behind Ike, "Don't move slowly on my account, it takes a lot more than a single fight to tire me out. And don't worry I know where I'm going." With that Kiria ran by them at top speed heading toward the former site of the military base. Alisa didn't wait for a reaction from Ike she just ran after Kiria.

[Jake the Sage]

As Akima laid down Lora, and then Koya and Todou. Omar fell on his back and quickly got back up, "What on Earth!?"

 

Lora was zigzagging through the trees so fast Koya was begining to have trouble keeping track of her. "Hey Todou!? Can you see her anymore!?"

 

He stopped and began to look around, wondering where both of them had disappeared too. Hearing Lora laugh he looked over and saw her standing with her hands on her hips, like she was waiting for him. Getting a big grin he charged, only to slam into a very . . . VERY well polished stone. Sliding to the ground Koya mumbled as the ropes twisted and slung him through a bush, a puddle of water, and up a tree only yo leave him hanging like a caught calf at a rodeo. Slowly turning in the air he saw Lora standing, just behind where he had been before crashing, laughing at him. He scowled and then laughed too, "Ya got me . . . now can I get down?"

 

"Nope," Lora said as she floated up to eye level, "At least not for another two minutes."

 

And with that she was off. The game only had a minute left and almsot everyone was taken out of the game.

 

"Don't move slowly on my account," Kiria had answered while he ran by them at top speed. Ike grinned and followed as they headed towards the former site of the base.

 

"I meant do we COMPLETELY go with them, or do we make our own agenda," Black said simplifying his earlier question, "Capiche?"

 

Darren nodded his head while Kyba shrugged his shoulder, "Well we can't take out the Western Military by ourselves now can we. The only option open to us is completely going with them. That is . . . unless we are going to join the Western Forces."

 

With the last sentance Kyba glanced over to Destiend as he slept, thinking the mention of joining the enemy would reach his subconciousness.

[Blake]

".. Destined gave you powers, and you'd return to them?" Black asked, glowering at them. "If it was up to me, I'd slay you both right now." He growled through clenched teeth. "But, I am loyal to Destined." Black snapped and his hand caught on fire. "Be glad he's asleep."

[Jake the Sage]

Kyba stood up and became metal as Darren coward away, "I wouldn't join them unless I had any other option. Don't make it sound as if I want to go through with that plan!"

[Blake]

"Still sounds traitorous to me, boy." Black spat. "By the way, Metalman You can no longer resist me." He waved his flaming hand. "Understand? I willl kill you when it is deemed the right time. Until then, stay away from me." Black growled.

[Jake the Sage]

Kyba slammed a fist into the ground and walked off in a rage, Darren looking back and forth at his friend and Black. Getting up he chased after Kyba, trying to catch up.

 

"Who does he think he is!?" Kyba thought through his rage.

[-Genesis-]

Akima sat up and stood making sure to keep control of Cougar. *That was close, I almost let Cougar go.*

 

Todou was hiding where even Lora couldn't fond him, so when Koya called out to him, he ignored him, not wanting to give up his position. As Lora ran past his hiding place he followed closely behind ready to set off one of the traps he set for her ahead.

 

Kiria was in the lead as the three of them ran for the Military Base if the supers were there he didn't want Alisa or Ike getting a shot at them before he did.

Ike slowed down and began to stop, looking at his wrist and then at the horizon.

 

As Todou waited to spring his traps Lora leapt into the air and pulled some bowls with her powers, landing. She spun the bowls around her, setting them down in a giant circle.

 

"Only a few more seconds," she said as a ladal twirled between her fingers.

[-Genesis-]

Todou smiled as he noticed that Lora had walked right into one of his traps, he knew that he'd won. He activated the trap, twelve pwower disrupters surrounding her activated and cancelled Lora's power allowing Todou to leap down and catch her in a tight bear hug. As he waited out the last few seconds, he smiled at Lora trapped, powerless in his arms, "That was very good, I will say this, I bet that if I had set any trap other than a power-stopper you would have escaped and won." Once the time ran out Todou put Lora down and turned off the power disrupters and kneeled infront of her, "Lora I want to ask you if you would do me a favor?" As soon as the words left his mouth it was obvious that whatever he was going to say was important, he was all business.

 

Akima sighed as the time ran out and he put Cougar down and untied Aya, "Let's wait here for Todou, Lora, and Koya."

 

Natalie smiled at Kallen's peaceful face as she slept, *I wonder what she's dreaming about?*

 

Kiria turned as Alisa stopped and went to Ike, "What's wrong?" He watched as Alisa questioned Ike. Kiria was getting annoyed at Ike, he wanted to keep going.

[Jake the Sage]

"I . . . lost their signal." Ike said with some disturbance in his voice. His sensors were the most advanced in the world and somehow he had managed to loose their position, "They're either dead or out of my range."

 

Lora fell to the ground, grinning; she knew she had secretly won their little contest as the power disrupters had activated at the moment time was up- but she'd let them htink they had their little victory. She stopped smiling when Todou asked Lora if she could ask her a favor, hearing how serious he was.

 

"Yes. What is it?"

 

"Hey guys! Mind getting me down!?" Yaming yelled to Akima, Aya and Cougar as she tried to keep her dress from falling down in emberrassment. Koya was also hanging upside down, "I wouldn't mind some help too . . ."

[-Genesis-]

Kiria scowled, "Or they've activated radiation blockers to hide themselves. They do have Todou with them, he's one of the most intelligent people in the world." He crossed his arms and waited. Alisa looked smug, "He's right, let's proceed in the same direction. Either way they were there and we can track their trails if we find their campsite."

 

Todou smiled half-heartedly, "Well my defense radar detected three people headed this way earlier in our game. They move very fast and they don't seem to get tired, right now I have some radiation blockers protecting our position. They release a kind of radiation that blocks tracking units. I expect that they'll be at our camp soon after we leave and that they'll trck us the old-fashioned way from there. When they attack us I want you to watch out for yourself, but if I think that it gets bad I'll tell you to go. If I do I want you to grab Aya and run, I've asked Natalie and Cougar to go with you. Above all you cannot tell Kallen any of this. Will you promise me that if I tell you to, you will go?" Todou's eyes pleaded as he thought about who he thought that it was coming after them.

 

Akima immediately brought Yaming down and set her on her feet, before turning to Koya and repeating the process. "Hey have either of you two seen where Lora and Todou went?"

 

Natalie sat down next to Kallen and thought about what was coming, if Todou was right they were going to have a massive fight on their hands and she and Cougar were to, if necessary, take Lora and Aya away from it by force.

[Tempest Dahlia]

Destined awoke to find everyone in a heated conversation. He rubbed his eyes and put on his hat. He had a sour taste in his mouth, and his stomach growled... How long was he asleep?

He yawned. "I gotta go brush my teeth..." He said casually, ignoring the conversation. "Be right back. Don't wait up."

[Jake the Sage]

Lora nodded her head solmnly and agreed to Todou's terms, secretly knowing that when the time came she wouldn't listen. But for now she'd say so to ease Todou's mind. Looking back up she smiled as everyone came back to the camp site. Running back to Aya she nodded, "Ready to spring our suprise?"

 

With a nod from Aya she pulled a rope and everyone saw a full hot meal in front of them, all prepared and ready to be eaten; and Omar sitting near the main bowl with a big grin. "Before we go lets eat!"

 

"I have already thought about the possability of that. However radiation merely garbles the signal, not completely stops it. No . . . something else is preventing me from finidng them." Ike retorted as Alisa asked if they could keep moving. Not wanting to argue, and more importantly get to the bottom of the mystery, he agreed and they were soon off once more.

[-Genesis-]

Todou smiled at Lora's response, but he could hear in her voice the hidden words, he knew that she wouldn't do it. That was why he'd had a backup plan and given Natalie a few vials to use just in case a single injection and Lora would be unconscious for a few hours. He followed her back to the little camp in the clearing.

 

Aya, Todou, and Akima each sat down infront of a plate. Cougar remained standing and looked over the food.

 

Natalie pulled out the packet of vials that Todou had given her and remembered his words, *Just in case Lora refuses to go willingly, when I tell her to go, if she doesn't I want you to inject her with one of these and she'l start to lose conscious seconds later.*

 

Kiria shook his head, "I really don't care what they're using, let's just get there and then it won't be a problem!" Alisa stayed silent at Kiria's words but kept moving.

Iker ignored his words as well, focusing instead on solving the problem. Nothing he could come up with was able to completely erase someone's signal; only that person dying could . . .

 

Lora sat down amongst everyone and realized they were missing a few people. Getting back up she carried her bowl and looked for Black, Destined, Kyba and the rest of that group.

[-Genesis-]

Kiria started to speed up as he saw the ruins of the military base up ahead of them. *First I'll seach the ruins, then the surrounding area.* Alisa sped up in order to scan the area and to not let Kiria do their job.

 

Cougar ran back to the main camp to find Natalie only to find her sitting next to a sleeping Kallen.

 

Aya, still not wanting to go anywhere with others unless Lora, Cougar or Natalie was around got up and followed Lora, "What are you doing?"

[Jake the Sage]

"I'm looking for Destined and his group. We'll be leaving soon so I want them to at least get something to eat." Lora said as she climbed a tree.

 

Ike skidded to a stop as Kiria and Alisa stood astonished. "I think I've figured out what happened . . ."

 

Looking up his eyes grew wide while the view of the Military Base, perfectly in order, right in front of him. He saw people moving about and nothing out of the ordinary; if not for the fact it shouldn't even be there.

Destined relaxed by the lake after doing his hygenic duties. He drew in a deep breath several times - He really liked that 'just brushed teeth' feeling.

Lucifer began to speak.

"What are your plans, Violet...?" This was Lucifer's estranged nickname for his master.

Destined simply smiled but didn't say anything. Just closed his eyes and smiled...

[-Genesis-]

Aya put her hands on her hips and waited for Lora to get down.

 

Cougar sat down with Natalie and watched Kallen sleep.

 

Kiria stared in amazement, "What? I-I don't understand?" He was confused, he'd been inside it when it was obliterated, and yet there it was, right there infront of him.

 

Alisa turned to Ike, "Wait I thought that the Western Military Base was destroyed! I wasn't told that it was being rebuilt."

[Jake the Sage]

"Its not," Ike said calmly as he stepped forward. It had to be a trick or something yet with each step it did not vanish. Stepping up to the wall he placed his hand on it and could feel the cold steel and hear the sound of people running around. Somehow it was there, it was real, and he had no idea how it was possible . . .

 

Lora slide down the tree and gave a loud sigh, no luck finding them from the top of the tree. As she continued to walk Lora spotted Destined and ran towards him, "Destined!"

[-Genesis-]

Kiria walked up to the wall, *It's ike the battle never happened...* Kiria, filled with rage, summoned the Buster Sword and slashed through the wall only to see frightened people on the other side. He walked toward them, "What's going on here!"

 

Alisa went up to Kiria and put her hand on his shoulder to hold him back, "What are you doing? Wait and let's ask them properly!"

 

Aya followed Lora as she ran over to Destined.

[Jake the Sage]

The people within the base gulped and looked amongst each other until Andrew came out of a door. Seeing them he looked around confused, "I thought you two were supposed to be here later this week. And what are you doing here Kiria?"

[-Genesis-]

Alisa looked at Andrew puzzled, "What are you talking about? And how did you get here before we did? You were still at the Core Facility when we left."

 

Kiria saw Andrew and dispersed the Buster Sword. He shoved past Alisa and grabbed Andrew by his collar, lifting him, "You're going to tell me right now what the HELL is going on here!"

[Jake the Sage]

Andrew fixed his glasses and then before Kiria could react he had pushed his hand aside and shove dhim back, "A routine check of Ike and Alisa's systems. They were called just today; though I did not expect them to arrive for another week. I suppose that is your doing."

 

With that Andrew turned and headed for his lab, with his back turned Ike moved over to Kiria, "I think I have the answer. Somehow we have been sent a week back in time. The Super with this kind of ability must not of wanted us to interfer with the Resistance."

[Tempest Dahlia]

Destined was inturrupted. He turned to see Lora bounding toward him: Yet another annoyance... Ugh.

"What?" Destined said coldly.
