Aya nodded, "Ok I've got that covered." She pulled out her notebook and put it down next to Lora, "Here this way you'll know when I'm on my way back." She ran off into the trees agilely.

 

Akima saw as Aya went by them headed for the main campsite, *Damn she's fast.* Then he turned to Yaming and Koya, "Could you two get Aya? And remember no powers!" Akima then saw smoke trailing into the air, "Omar could you find out where that smoke is coming from? Todou and I will wait here for you." Todou snickered, he found it quite funny how Akima was using all of their resources systematically.

 

Seeing that it was Kiria Alisa relaxed and waited for Kiria to answer Ike. "Well as you know I was angry at the fact that the General assigned you two to take out the supers instead of myself so I decided to see if you were really up for the job... by taking me on. I won't kill either of you, just consider it a sparing match or combat training. If you pass I let you two do your job, if not then I'll be joining in on the hunt." Kiria looked at them intently and waited for a response.

Ike scowled as Kiria explained that he would join them, and disobey orders, if he was not defeated. For a few seconds Ike considered just walking away and reporting him back to the General due to the waist of time he will become, but then realized Kiria would possibly follow them and get in the way. Shaking his head, his mechanical mind calculated the only option, while his right arm morphed into the form of a sword.

 

Pointing it at Kiria he explaimed, "For disobeying direct orders and preventing a superior from accomplishing their mission on due time . . . I take it upon myself to be judge and jurry. Your punishment . . . death!"

 

And with the final word Ike charged, sword pointed for Kiria's skull.

 

Todou gave a low laugh as Yaming and Koya left to follow and possibly capture Aya, he found it quite funny how Akima was using all of their resources systematically. Seeing smoke trailing into the air Akima had asked Omar to find out where it was coming from, "O-Okay! I promise I won't be spotted . . ."

 

As Omar neared Lora was completely unaware, passing the time until Aya returned with the pot by washing and slicing the fruits into bite sized pieces. She was wipping her hands of the fruits juices as Omar landed on a branch above her, causing a single leaf to fall in front of Lora. As she watched it fall Omar began to sweat, fearing he had already given his position away. Luckily Lora picked it up and just wandered off.

Kiria stood still until the last moment then he made the Six Blade Sword appear in his hand and blocked the attack dead on with the flat of the blade. He smiled at Ike's pathetic attempt to kill him, "The General didn't seem to care when I threatened to kill him, do you really think he'll care that I'm disobeying orders?" Kiria glaced over at Alisa and then back at Ike, "Well what do you say? Do you agree to my test? You'll waste more time trying to kill me then you would trying to simply fight me and impress me."

 

Aya was extremely hard to track as se got to the main camp got a pan and headed back, but she was only a short way back into the woods when she stopped, something was wrong, but she didn't know what.

 

Akima and Todou sat still waiting for Omar to return. Akima was thinking over their next move, *If we're able to catch Aya before she gets back to Lora and without alerting lora then I think this'll end quickly and then we can get some rest.*

Omar had completely forgotten that he was on a "mission" and instead just kept taking deep breaths of the fruit's fragrance as it drifted past his nose. His mouth watered as he wondered if it tasted as good as it looked. Lora hadn't come back yet and he decided to go and snag a bite. Leaping down he crouched down and picked up a slice and popped it into his mouth. The flavor was unlike anything he had before in the dimension he came from and picked up another piece as Lora walked back to the fire yelling, "Hey! Those aren't ready!!!"

 

He nearly choked in suprise and whirrled to run, remembering he wasn't to be spotted; and that he was playing a "game". Unfortunately Lora had caught him and tied him to the base of a tree. As she interrogated him he attempted not to tell Akima's game and . . . possibly . . . snatch another piece of that delicious fruit.

 

Kiria had managed to block Ike's attack with the flat of the blade, almost effortlessly. When he commented about the General not caring about being threatened Ike began to laugh, "That is because he knows a fool like you will not defeat someone so superior."

 

Pushing back Ike landed and remodled the sword into a cannon, "And I do not accept your conditions!"

 

With that his cannon fired.

Aya looked around but satyed where she was, *Ok what's going on, why do I feel like someone is watching me?*

 

Akima and Todou knew something was wrong when Omar didn't come back. Most likely Lora had caught him. Now they would need Yaming and Koya's help to catch her.

 

Kiria simply side-stepped the blast and ran at Ike. He pulled one of the Reverse Blades off of the Full Sword, giving him two swords to use. "Hmph, try this." Kiria swung the first blade at Ike's side!

Ike grinned and seperated his body so that the blade went through empty space. Smiling he placed his cannon against Kiria's head and fired; he knew no matter how fast Kiria had been, at that range he couldn't dodge.

 

"Who's there!?" Aya called out as she looked around. She could feel eyes on her as Yaming and Koya watched her from the trees. Both whispered softly as they tried to come up with a way to capture Aya, without using powers. Koya was stumped, but luckily Yaming came up with a plan. Leaping from the tree she landed and snapped a twig, making Aya whirl around in the direction of the noise.

 

Lora had sat down in front of the fire and was mashing up some roots and leaves while Omar watched, still tied to the tree, "So . . . you just going to leave me here?"

 

"Yup. At least until you tell me why you were spying on me."

 

Omar twitched his head in simpathy, knowing he couldn't tell Lora, while his stomach growled, "Thats not fair! I told you I wasn't spying on you . . ."

 

"And I said I don't believe you," she retorted as she lightly tasted the powder and then added some white powder, "That should stop the sour taste . . ."

Of course Kiria really didn't have to dodge, in order to make a point Kiria didn't react at all. The blast hit him full on in the left side of his head and sent Kiria flying into a large rock formation crushing it. When the dust cleared Kiria was standing looking at Ike with a smirk, the top left half of his shirt was gone and there was ash and dust all over him but there wasn't a drop of blood, not even a scratch on his face. "Ike, would you please stop doing that I do enjoy wearing my clothing." Kiria reattached the Reverse Blade to the Full Blade and stabbed it into the ground and started dusting himself off. He then pulled the blade out of the ground and looked at the dumbfounded look on Ike's face, "Now do you understand why the General didn't have me killed? It just takes too much time and effort, and he'd probably see it as a waste." Kiria dispersed the Six Blade Sword and summoned the Genesis Blade, "Let's see how much you like fire." Then he... [/spoiler] Kiria then ran straight at Ike and slashed at him so fast. Kiria's attack was so fast that Ike would barely be able to block it.

Aya saw Yaming and put the pieces together perfectly and in an instant, "Oh no... Akima didn't give up, he went to get help." She turned and ran toward the place where she'd left Lora, hopng that she could get to her before Yaming caught her.

Akima and Todou decided to prepare for Aya, just in case she got by Koya and Yaming, if she didn't then it was giving them something to do.

As Aya ran another twig beside her snapped, making her turn in the opposite direction. Again and again the snapping of twigs made her change course as Koya and Yaming "chased" her. As she bursted through some large bushes she found herself far away from Lora and the campsite. Koya gave a laugh as he jumped out of the trees and blocked her only means of escape, "I'll have to admit Yaming . . . that was clever."

 

Yaming walked up next to Koya and held out a long piece of thin wire, pieces of bark attached to it as she smiled, "Sorry Aya . . . but we got you now."

 

"You can torture me all you want . . . but before you do, can I get something to eat?" the sound of his stomach growling was driving him insane as he squirmed and attempted to get some food. Seeing him struggle so much Lora got a smile and picked up some of the fruit, holding it inches away from Omar.

 

"Tell me why you were spying on me."

 

"And then you'll give me something to eat?"

 

"Yeah . . . sure." Lora said as she gave a sly smile, waiting for the answer. Omar immediately told the entire story and didn't even notice as Lora got a big grin on her face. She liked the idea of playing 'cat-and-mouse' with Akima and the other; but decided it was time to turn the tables on the 'cats'. Standing up she began to walk off.

 

"H-Hey! What about my food!?"

 

"Oh, this?" she said holding the piece up. As soon as Omar had nodded she tossed it to him and let it land on his lap and out of his reach, "There you go . . ."

 

And with that she was off . . .

 

The cannon shot had landed as Ike planned, sending Kiria flying and crashing through the surrounding geological structures. However Kiria was barely harmed as he dusted himself off. While he did this Ike cursed under his breath and then Kiria called out to him as he pulled the blade out of the ground, "Now do you understand why the General didn't have me killed? It just takes too much time and effort, and he'd probably see it as a waste."

 

Ike readied himself as Kiria dispersed the Six Blade Sword and summoned the Genesis Blade, "Let's see how much you like fire!"

 

Making the sword glow and eerie red he then ran in a straight shot towards his opponent, slashing him with incredible speed. Kiria's attack had been so fast that Alisa could barely track it with her eyes, much less imagine Ike blocking it. With the sound of metal being ripped the blade ate into Ike's arm as he sunk his own two blade arms into Kiria's stomach. Wincing in pain as sparks flew from his shoulder Ike watched as blood slowly dripped from the wound, "N-No matter what . . . you are still . . . h-human."

[Blake]

"So Destined." Black began as the group rested. "What is OUR move from here?" He looked at his boss with a raised eyebrow "Do we continue here? Or do we do our own thing?" He mused aloud. He thought as he stared up, into the sky, at the clouds.

[-Genesis-]

Aya sat down and crossed her arms, "Fine, so tell me what is this, a game to see who can catch me and Lora?"

 

Todou showed up behind Koya, "Nice job you two. Akima is going to see what happened to Omar we think he got caught."

 

Akima was in the tree at the clearing in time to hear Omar spill the beans and to see Lora run off. *I have to tell the others that Lora knows.* He headed off to tell the others.

 

As Kiria and Ike were pinned to each other, Kiria smiled, "Do you really still think that after how effective your last attack was?" Kiria leapt back still holding the Genesis blade and took off what was left of his shirt. On his chest were two streams of blood but no wounds, they had healed in the few seconds between the blades pulling out of his chest and him removing his shirt. He turned to face Alisa, "You know all about me don't you? I can see that you're not surprised like him. How much do you know?"

 

Alisa glared at him, "I know about the Shinra SOLDIER Program and Jenova." Those few words were enough, Kiria looked at Ike with a look that called him an imbicile, "You're travelling with one of the few people who know about the SOLDIER program and you think I'm human? You're pathetic."

[Jake the Sage]

Ike gave a grin as cords shot through the gap between the cut and pulled the metal back together, effectively healing himself as he got back up. "It appears as if neither of are human. However," Ike glared at Kiria, "We were given an assignment and you are waisting our time."

 

Ike turned to leave, deciding doing battle with Kiria would gain nothing for him.

 

Lora was flying through the trees as she tracked down Aya. Seeing Yaming, Koya and Todou having blocked her back to a cliff she grinned and silently waved to Aya. Aya smiled and made Koya puzzle, "What are you smiling about?"

 

"That." was all Aya said as she held her hand in the air and was pulled into the air by Lora. Both laughed as Yaming and Todou looked on with some annoyance.

 

"Well . . . this changes things." Yaming said as she wondered if using powers would be ok now.

[-Genesis-]

Kiria smiled, "Do you remember what I said before? Hm... I said that if you failed I'd come along whether you liked it or not. If you walk away now, then you fail immediately. Besides just because I think that you're a fool doesn't mean that you weren't close to impressing me. You are a fool, but you're a strong fool." Kiria lifted the Genesis blade infront of his face, "So are you sure about walking away?"

 

Alisa looked to Ike, "Well it's your choice. It's you he's challenging, not me." She really didn't care if Kiria came along, they had a job to do, if Kiria made himself useful then she wouldn't give a damn. They could report him later.

 

Aya smiled up at Lora, "We need to get back to the clearing, my notebook is there."

 

"Yes it does." Akima came out of the bushes behind them, "Go ahead and use your powers now. I'll go free Omar." With that he turned around and ran back the way he came.

 

Todou smiled at Akima's words, "Well technically my technology isn't a power anyway." He fired a Slash Harken which anchored into the clif above Lora an Aya and reeled himself in, right at them.

 

Back at the main camp Natalie wandered around looking to hangout with Kallen, since Cougar had left into the woods to see what was going on.

 

Cougar was standing on top of the mountain with his hands in his pockets and he yelled own to Lora and Aya, "Would you like a hand?"

Lora had managed to throw Aya out of the way and move as well when Todoud zipped past them. The rules had changed and now if they could grab them they'd be the winners. Hearing Cougar Lora turned and yelled back, "Catch Aya for me!"

 

Lora had just enough time to duck as Yaming shot a binding 'spell' at her. Koya snapped his fingers and rose into the air, he wasn't going to be the only one left out!

 

As the game continued Ike made up his mind, "Fine! Come along if that is what you desire. Just make sure you stay out of my way."

 

With his words said Ike continued to walk forward, always keeping a good enough distance from Kiria. He had decided to report Kiria later, after the mission was finished.

Couga bent over and caught Aya who then told him to take her to where the smoke was coming from. "Alright, hold on." He leapt off the top of the cliff and summoned his altar legs and blew right past Koya, Yaming, and Todou.

 

Todou spun around and fired a claw at Lora, trying to catch her.

 

Kiria smirked and dispersed the Genesis blade, "We'll see, I won't guarentee that I won't kill any of them myself." With that he walked behind them allowing Ike to take the lead.

 

Alisa walked up next to Ike and whispered, "I thought that you should know, I've seen the recordings of him going all out, and I know that he was only playing with you." She glanced back at Kiria and then spoke again, "Do you want to know his story now?" She knew that unless he knew Kiria's story he'd never take him seriously enough, and that could get him killed.

Ike had grown tired of Alisa's supposed, what he called obsession with Kiria. However he had gotten tired and just nodded his head, hoping afterwards she'd finally be silent.

 

Lora managed to spin and move past Todou as he shot at her again. She knew all they had to do was waste enough time and it'd be all over soon. While Lora was toying with the doctor Yaming, Koya and Akima had been easily pasted by Cougar as he charged for the book. Yaming spun around and yelled no fair as she used her powers to move the book towards her, making it slide on the ground.

 

Koya, not liking the idea of Cougar helping them, began to think of a way to slow him down.

Alisa looked at Ike, "Although you may not want to hear it, Kiria's past actually tells you lot about how to get under his skin. Over twenty years ago there was a project here in the West set up by the Miliatry and performed by the Shinra Corporation. It was called the SOLDIER Program, it's goal was to create an army of elite military units called "SOLDIER", this the SOLDIER Program. For this though they needed something to make the soldiers beyond the capabilities of human or even supers, they used a being called Jenova. What Jenova actually was is still unknown to this day, but she was found in a crash site after a massive meteor shower and her genetic code was far more advanced than ours so they decided to use her genetic material to make the soldiers truly elite. Their first experiment was to create a genetic child from Jenova, that child was Kiria. He is genetically half of Jenova, that is what makes him so powerful and nearly invincible. He was their best SOLDIER he never once failed to complete a mission. The problem was that he had a half sister who had died during a mission, a mission that she hadn't been ready for. The Shinra corporation had decided to send her on the mission because they thought that since Kiria was so powerful his sister should be too, they were right she was strong but she wasn't as strong as him. After he found out that against his request to look at her as a separate person then he was, they had sent her off to her death he'd defected from the program. Of the 582 SOLDIERS since the program began only 323 were still alive and active as SOLDIERS. Looking for revenge against Shinra, Kiria planned to go to the place where Jenova, in her comatic state was stored, he planned to awaken her and use her power to obliterate Shinra, but the place was guarded by four other SOLDIERS who were able to send a message to the main base calling for reinforcements and explaining that Kiria was the attacker, before he killed them. The head of Shinra ordered 12 SOLDIERS to go and kill Kiria." Alisa stopped and looked to Ike, "This is another reason why the General refuses to try and have Kiria killed, they wouldn't have a chance." She continued on with the story, "Kiria was standing infront of the tank with Jenova inside when the SOLDIERS arrived. In an instant he pulled out Masamune and killed all but one of them. This one decided that if they couldn't kill Kiria he'd kill Jenova, you see they found that while she was in her comatic state she didn't have the healing capabilities that the SOLDIERS had. So the one SOLDIER ran forward and stabbed his sword through the glass of the tank and into Jenova's body and seconds later Kiria stabbed Masamune through the SOLDIER's chest. Casting the body aside Kiria pulled Jenova from the remains of the tank and watched her as she died. He then picked up Masamune and went to the main base and wiped out every SOLDIER he came into contact with until he ended up facing his three best friends, Genesis, Angeal, and Rafael. Kiria didn't want to kill them, but Genesis had always been trying to surpass Kiria decided to take this opportunity to take him down, but as it was with the others he didn't have a chance and Kiria killed him. It was the fact that he'd actually killed Genesis that struck the truth home, Angeal and Rafael realized that Kiria really wasn't going to show mercy to anyone, so trying to save hundreds of innocent lives they fought him and died against him. Their deaths supposedly were able to help Kiria regain control of himself. He set explosives to destroy the base and he took their swords for himself as a memory of them and he buried them. The General found him in the town where he and his sister had lived when they were off duty and where Catherine met him." Alisa then waited for a moment and asked Ike a question, "So where are we going?"

 

Todou smiled and yelled out to Lora, "Ok then. Lora, protect yourself!" He pulled out a Chaos Flare and tossed it into the air. It opened and rapid-fired hundreds of bolts of energy straight at Lora. Todou knew that Lora could protect herself, that's why he was willing to use such a dangerous weapon. That and the fact that he set the energy bolts for stun instead of their usually lethal form.

 

Akima was in the woods running to the clearing to free Omar when suddenly Cougar sped by him with Aya on his back, they were headed straight for the clearing as well, *Dammit! They're going to get their first and then I'll have to go through them to get Omar!*

 

As they went by Akima, Cougar smirked, *Did he really think that a head start would help him get there before me? Yeah right!* Aya smiled at Akima and waved as the passed him then she turned to Cougar, "Do you know where he's going?" Cougar shook his head, "Not really, but I'd be willing to bet it's where we're going."

Ike had actually listened to the entire story and was begining to think hard about kiria and his past, sometimes glancing at Alisa as they ocntinued walking. He was snapped out of his daze when she asked about their destination, "They can't be too far from the last known location. We will head there."

 

Yaming pulled again, trying aimlessly to find the book before Cougar and Aya managed to reach it; hoping Akima somehow managed to slow them down enough. As she tried Koya was hit with Todou's attack, having appeared in front of Lora to grab her. As he fell she cought him and set him down, giving a salute and a grin before running off.

 

"Todou! She's getting away!" was all he could say as he watched her run off from his spot on the ground.

Alisa nodded in understanding, "So to the ruins of the Military Base." She turned back to Kiria, "You hear that? We're going back to the ruins of the Military Base!" She turned back to Ike, "Well... why are we walking? We can move a lot faster running and we don't get tired."

 

At Alisa's words Kiria felt his rage build inside him, *Could they still be there? Dancing on her grave! I'll annihilate them! I'll make them pay with suffering, I won't let them die quickly. No I'll make them feel all the suffering I've felt.*

 

Akima watched as Cougar and Aya blew by him and in that instant he used his power lifting Cougar and Aya off the ground and suspending them in midair. "Well it looks like I've caught you both. Now I just need to wait for the others to catch Lora." With them floating in the air behind him he walked into the clearing where Omar was tied up. Akima waved and smiled at him, "Nice job, you got caught by a ten year old." He walked over and untied Omar and used the rope to tie up Aya. He kept Cougar floating in the air because with his power he could break down the rope an reform it into his Altar power. Akima then sat down, "So now we wait."

 

Todou landed to the ground and activated his Repulsors allowing him to run fast enough to catch up to Lora, "Hey Lora, I may be an old man but you won't get away from me that easily!" He was a few yards behind Lora and gaining.

 

Back at the main camp Natalie found Kallen sleeping against a tree where she'd been for a few hours. She kneeled down next to Kallen and smiled, *She must be so tired because of the combination of both the physical and emotional toll that the fight took on her. First the fighting, then seeing her own father, presumed dead, strike down her sister, and then to fight him herself. I wonder what's going on in her head?*

"So Destined," Black began as the groups 'game' continued, "What is our move from here?"

 

Destined didn't answer and he looked at him with a raised eyebrow, "Do we continue here? Or do we do our own thing?"

 

Destined again didn't answer as Black stared up, into the sky, at the clouds. Kyba and Darren overheard them and turned around to face Black, Kyba speaking first, "I think we should continue our undercover 'cooperation' for now."

 

"Yeah!" was all Darren chimmed in.

 

Akima had caught Cougar and Aya, using his powers to keep them in the air long enough to free Omar, "Nice job . . . you got caught by a ten year old."

 

After he had untied his ally he tied Aya up, leaving Cougar stuck in the air to prevent him from getting away. Akima then sat down, "So now we wait."

 

"I guess so," Omar agreed as he ploped down beside Akima, "And she is clever. Lora I mean . . ."

 

"Hey Lora, I may be an old man but you won't get away from me that easily!" Todou had activated his Repulsors, allowing him to run fast enough to catch up to Lora, and now he was a few yards behind Lora . . . and gaining! She merely looked back at him with a big grin and laughed, there was only a few minutes left so she decided to get 'darring'.

 

Stopping in mid air she turned around and held her arms out to Todou. Seeing his chance Koya leapt from behind and yelled that he had her, but slammed into Todou as Lora vanished between the two. Yaming couldn't help but laugh as the two guys landed on the ground, looking like idiots as they argued who got in who's way, "They are pretty dumb aren't they."

 

"Yeah, they sure are Lora." Yaming stopped and then realized who she was talking to. Glancing down she saw her target right beside her, like she didn't even care. Yaming acted like she didn't care and then went to grab her, only to be caught by her ankles and tossed into the air and stay in the air as she dangled by her feet; having to hold her dress up out of emberrassment, "Lora you . . . you . . . JERK!!!"

 

Lora merely gave a laugh as Koya and Todou continued to argue, almost forgetting about Lora. She shook her head and flaoted off the ground, the blasted between the two, "Can't Catch Me!"

 

The small boom from Lora's sudden burst was loud enough that Natalie could hear it all the way back at the camp, sweating a bit as Kallen turned in her spot. Game Ends In: 2 Minutes!

 

"They can't be too far from the last known location. We will head there."

 

"So to the ruins of the Military Base," Alisa said with a nod then turned back to Kiria, "You hear that!? We're going back to the Military Base!"

Ike could sense the spike in Kiria's power and got a grin out of it, knowing that even after all that he was still human in the truest sense. Alisa had began talking again and this time, he payed attention, "Well? Why are we walking? We can move a lot faster by running and we don't get tired."

 

"Well I don't want our flesh and blood commrade getting winded," Ike mocked as he motioned to Kiria, boiling over in rage, "Killing Catherine, and the prebattle took alot out of them. We will have enough time by walking."

Josh watched as Lora ran through the trees, and through him as well. Turning back he yelled at her, "What do I look like!? A speed bu-"

 

Josh couldn't finish as Koya and Todou passed through him on their way to catch back up to Lora. Josh floated in midair, scowling as a bird flew through his head, "Man . . . being dead sucks . . ."

[Blake]

Black stared at the duo flatly. "Really? Who would have thought that?" He asked sarcastically. "I meant do we COMPLETELY go with them, or do we make our own agenda." Black said, simplifying his earlier question. "Capiche?"
