I guess' date=' but if you look at the rep, you can find out how good/bad the member is, and if he/she needs to be banned.

[/quote']

Reps are ALWAYS opinions and rarely facts.

How does this work out?

Negs these days are like "Spamming my contest" and if 11 people agree and neg the member, don't you think it's about time for his doomsday?

I don't know about the other mods...

But when I ban a member, I make sure that I have looked through all possible posts that may have led to it. Before just axe'ing them. Negs are irrelevant, because you're gonna have to research the reasoning for those negs anyway...

Furthermore, negs are merely opinions of members and mean nothing when relevant to a ban. A ban should just justified by posts, not by negs, as Icy stated. Also, I believe that negs should not be used by members for rule-breaking (i.e. as you stated "spamming my contest") and they will be warned for that, and it doesn't take 11 people and a 20% warn for that member to realise that posting one spam comment in a Contest was bad.

The Negs mark some unpleasant deeds which other members can know that particular member by it' date=' therefore it's not irrelevant.

You still MUST research the posts of that member before even validating the negs.

How does that work, seriously...

It can warn you about that person if he's in a certain Roleplay or something.

It's still an opinion until proven in a post...

i have wanted this before for another reason: i want to know where i stand in the total reps of members on the forum. I know that people like DJ, God Gak and others have reps of 400+, but i would like to know where i stand up to them. ;)

support.

I have mixed feelings about this :?

-Icyblue has a point there

-Just like the above post ^^, I am curious to know where I stand in the rep counts

-On the other hand, it seems kinda irrelevant and unnessesary to the Forum, and more if its going to take space in the site and maybe slow it alittle.

-It looks fun and I'm still curious :)

:( I can't decide, I'm in the middle of this (just slightly tilted towards a "no")
