I often draw these things called blobs, pictured here, and use them in different fantasy stories I write. They're basically balls of clay that group together in a herd. Once a friend and I made a clay animation where a horde of blobs trampled over a bunch of campers.

 

Back then, I actually thought up yugioh cards that could use the blobs. Now I've decided to actually put them down on paper.

 

GAMEPLAY: The basic strategy is to generate Blob Tokens and then use them to activate highly destructive cards. Pros: Great defensive gameplay (as Blob Tokens occupy your zones yet they can be removed to place a card), easy to generate Token monsters, summon powerful beasts, or activate powerful card effects. Many of the card effects are very flexible and Blob Tokens can be used in almost any way. Cons: Highly dependent on Spell & Trap cards, the ATK/DEF of all monsters range from 0 to upwards (many at 0). The number of Blob Tokens must be constantly regulated to summon monsters or activate cards. Field can be rendered empty if cards are used foolishly.

Blob Stampede *•

Continuous Spell

During each End Phase, Special Summon as many "Blob Tokens" (Aqua-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) as you can in face-up Defense Position. "Blob Tokens" cannot be used as Tribute. You may destroy a "Blob Token" to summon a monster in its place.

Blob Cluster *•

Aqua/EARTH/Lev 2/ATK?/DEF?

This card can only be Normal Summoned or Set when you destroy 2 "Blob Tokens". The ATK and DEF of this card is 100x each "Blob" monster on the field. This card can only attack your opponent's Life Points directly. During your Draw Phase, you can Special Summon 1 "Blob Token" (Aqua-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-up Defense Position for each card you draw. "Blob Tokens" cannot be used as Tribute. You may destroy a "Blob Token" to summon a monster in its place.

 

Blob Stack

Aqua/EARTH/Lev 3/ATK?/DEF?

This card can only be Normal Summoned or Set when you destroy 3 "Blob Tokens". This card's ATK and DEF is equal to 400x the number of "Blob Tokens" you control, plus 300.

 

Blob Pyramid

Aqua/EARTH/Lev 4/ATK?/DEF?

This card can only be Normal Summoned or Set when you destroy 4 “Blob Tokens”. This card’s ATK and DEF is equal to 400x each card in your hand, plus 400. While this card is face-up on the field, for any card effect that requires you to destroy all “Blob Tokens” you control, you can destroy half, rounded down. When you destroy “Blob Tokens” to Normal Summon or Set a “Blob Monster”, reduce the amount of “Blob Tokens” that need to be destroyed by 1.

 

Blob Tower

Aqua/EARTH/Lev 5/ATK?/DEF?

This card can only be Normal Summoned or Set when you destroy 4 "Blob Tokens". This card's ATK and DEF is equal to 500x each "Blob" monster you control. During your Standby Phase, you can reduce the ATK and DEF of this card to 0 to activate this effect: Increase your Life Points by 200x the combined Levels of all "Blob" monsters you control. The ATK and DEF of this card remains at 0 until your next Standby Phase.

 

Blob Chain

Aqua/EARTH/Lev 5/ATK?/DEF?

This card can only be Normal Summoned or Set when you destroy 5 “Blob Tokens”. The ATK and DEF of this card is 400x its Level. At the start of your turn, you may increase or decrease this card’s Level by 1.

 

Great Yellow Blob

Aqua/EARTH/Lev 6/ATK?/DEF?

This card can only be Normal Summoned or Set when you destroy 5 "Blob Tokens". This card's ATK and DEF is equal to 1000x each "Blob" monster you control (except this card). This card cannot declare an attack if your opponent controls 3 or fewer monsters.

Blob Cube *•

Aqua/EARTH/Lev 8/ATK?/DEF?

“Blob Pyramid” + “Blob Pyramid”

This card can only be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by removing from play the above monsters from your side of the field (You do not use “Polymerization”). When this card is attacked or declares an attack, roll a die. This card’s ATK and DEF is equal to 1000x the result for the turn this card is attacked or declares an attack. You loose Life Points equal to half of the ATK of this monster during the End Phase of the turn this effect is activated. During the start of your turn you can roll a die. Special Summon “Blob Tokens” (Aqua-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-up Defense Position equal to the result. "Blob Tokens" cannot be used as Tribute. You may destroy a "Blob Token" to summon a monster in its place.

 

Blob Monolith

Aqua/EARTH/Lev 9/ATK?/DEF?

“Blob Cluster” + “Blob Stack” + “Blob Tower”

This card can only be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by removing from play the above monsters from your side of the field (You do not use “Polymerization”). This card’s ATK and DEF is 1000x each “Blob” monster you control. Once per turn, you can destroy any number of “Blob” monsters you control (except this card). Destroy 1 monster your opponent controls whose Level is equal to or less than the combined Levels of the “Blob” monsters destroyed. Inflict damage to your opponent equal to half of the destroyed monster’s attack.

 

Blob Wrecking Ball

Aqua/EARTH/Lev 9/ATK?/DEF?

“Great Yellow Blob” + “Blob Chain” + any number of “Blob Tokens”

This card can only be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by removing from play the above monsters from your side of the field (You do not use “Polymerization”). This card’s ATK and DEF is equal to 200x the combined Levels of all monsters removed from play to Special Summon this card. During your Standby Phase, destroy a number of cards on the field equal to the number of cards in your opponent’s hand. You may not conduct your Battle Phase if this effect is used. Skip your next Draw Phase if this effect is used.

 

Blob Monument

Aqua/EARTH/Lev 10/ATK?/DEF?

“Great Yellow Blob” + “Blob Monolith” OR “Great Yellow Blob” + “Blob Cube”

This card can only be Special Summoned from your Extra Deck by removing from play the above monsters from your side of the field (You do not use “Polymerization”). This card’s ATK and DEF is equal to half of the combined ATK of the monsters removed from play to Special Summon this card. This card cannot declare an attack, regardless of card effects. If the following monster was removed from play to Special Summon this card, this card gains the appropriate effect: •”Blob Monolith”: Destroy 1 monster on the field (expect this card). Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster’s ATK. •”Blob Cube”: Once per turn, roll a die. Inflict damage to your opponent equal to 600x the result.

Blob Swarm

Spell

Destroy all "Blob Tokens" you control. Inflict 200 damage to your opponent for every "Blob Token" destroyed by this effect.

 

Blob Avalanche *•

Spell

Select up to 5 cards from your Graveyard and remove them from play. Special Summon 1 "Blob Token" (Aqua-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-up Defense Position for each card removed from play by this effect. "Blob Tokens" cannot be used as Tribute. You may destroy a "Blob Token" to summon a monster in its place.

 

Blob Festival

Spell

Destroy any number of "Blob Tokens" you control. Draw 1 card from your Deck for each "Blob Token" destroyed by this effect. During the End Phase, any cards in your hand drawn by this effect are discarded.

 

Blob Vacation

Spell

Active this card only during your Standby Phase when you control 3 or more Blob Tokens. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase nor summon monsters during this turn and your next turn. During your opponent’s Draw Phase after this card has been activated, he/she draws 2 cards then proceeds directly to the End Phase.

 

Blob Blizzard

Spell

Destroy half of all “Blob Tokens” you control, rounded down. You cannot activate this card if you control only 1 “Blob Token”. Each player adds their hand to their Deck and shuffles it. Each player draws the same number of cards they returned to the Deck by this effect.

 

Blob Tumble *•

Spell

Special Summon any number of “Blob Tokens” (Aqua-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-up Defense Position. "Blob Tokens" cannot be used as Tribute. You may destroy a "Blob Token" to summon a monster in its place. Pay 300 Life Points for each “Blob Token” Special Summoned by this effect. When this card is destroyed it is returned to the top of your Deck.

 

Blob Tornado

Quick-Play Spell

Destroy all "Blob Tokens" you control. If the number of "Blob Tokens" you control is greater than the number of monsters your opponent controls, pay 500 Life Points for each extra "Blob Token". Destroy monsters your opponent controls up to the amount of "Blob Tokens" destroyed by this effect.

 

Blob Downpour *•

Quick-Play Spell

For each card you discard from your hand, Special Summon 1 "Blob Token" (Aqua-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-up Defense Position. "Blob Tokens" cannot be used as Tribute. You may destroy a "Blob Token" to summon a monster in its place.

 

Blob Parade

Quick-Play Spell

Destroy all "Blob Tokens" you control. For each "Blob Token" destroyed by this effect you may select 1 Spell or Trap Card with "Blob" in its name from your Deck. Add the selected cards to your hand. You can pay 800 Life Points to activate 1 Spell or Trap Card added to your hand by this effect, regardless of activation conditions. The remaining cards cannot be activated or set this turn.

 

Blob Disassembly

Quick-Play Spell

When you successfully summon a “Blob” Fusion monster, you may search your Deck for this card and add it to your hand. When this card is activated, if a “Blob” Fusion monster was destroyed in battle last turn, pay half of your Life Points to select 1 “Blob” Fusion Material monster listed on the destroyed card from your Graveyard or that’s been removed from play (except “Blob Tokens”). Special Summon the selected “Blob” Fusion Material monster to your side of the field.

 

Blob Rebound

Continuous Spell

Pay 1000 Life Points. All "Blob" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle (Damage is applied normally). If you control no "Blob" monsters during either player's End Phase, destroy this card.

 

Blob Horde *•

Continuous Spell

During your Standby Phase, you can activate 1 of the following effects: • Select any number of cards from your Graveyard and remove them from play. For each card removed from play by this effect, Special Summon 1 “Blob Token” (Aqua-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-up Defense Position. "Blob Tokens" cannot be used as Tribute. You may destroy a "Blob Token" to summon a monster in its place. • Destroy any number of “Blob Tokens” you control. For each “Blob Token” destroyed by this effect, select 1 card from your Graveyard or that’s been removed from play and return it to your Deck. You can pay 400 Life Points to select 1 card that was returned to the Deck by this effect and it to your hand.

 

Blob Herding Lands

Field Spell

“Blob Tokens” may be Special Summoned in your Spell & Trap Card Zone. You may destroy a “Blob Token” to activate or set a card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone. “Blob Tokens” in your Spell & Trap Card Zone cannot be selected as attack targets. If you control no monsters, instantly Special Summon all “Blob Tokens” in your Spell & Trap Card Zone to your side of the field. When this card is destroyed, destroy all cards and Token monsters in your Spell & Trap Card Zone.

Blob Smother

Trap

For the Battle Phase this card is activated, for each "Blob Token" you destroy you may negate 1 attack from your opponent.

 

Blob Flood *•

Trap

Special Summon a number of "Blob Tokens" (Aqua-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) equal to or less than the number of "Blob Tokens" you control to your opponent's side of the field in face-up Defense Position. "Blob Tokens" cannot be used as Tribute. You may destroy a "Blob Token" to summon a monster in its place. If your opponent destroys a "Blob Token" in order to summon a monster in its place, inflict 400 damage to your opponent for each "Blob Token" they destroy.

 

Blob Rotation

Trap

Activate this card only if you control 2 or more “Blob Monsters”. Change the Battle position of all monsters on the field. Increase the ATK and DEF of all “Blob” monsters by 200.

 

Blob Harvest

Trap

Increase your Life Points equal to 100x the combined Levels of all “Blob” monsters you control.

 

Blob Eruption *•

Trap

Pay half of your Life Points. Special Summon as many “Blob Tokens” (Aqua-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-up Defense Position as you can equal in number to the Level of 1 monster your opponent controls.

 

Blob Hurricane

Counter Trap

Destroy 4 or more "Blob Tokens" you control. Negate the effects of all Spell and/or Trap cards controlled by your opponent and destroy them.

 

Blob Anti-Vortex

Counter Trap

Activate only when your opponent destroys all monsters you control (including at least 1 “Blob” monster) and would attack you directly within the same turn. Special Summon as many monsters as you can from your Graveyard or that were removed from play (including at least 2 “Blob” monsters). During the End Phase after this card was activated, select 1 “Blob” monster Special Summoned by this effect. The rest are returned to your Deck.

 

Blob Wall

Continuous Trap

Discard your entire hand. You may not activate this card if you have no cards in your hand. All of your opponent's monsters may only attack "Blob Tokens".

 

Blob Pile *•

Continuous Trap

Activate during the End Phase only. Special Summon “Blob Tokens” (Aqua-Type/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in face-up Defense Position equal to the number of monsters you controlled that were destroyed this turn. "Blob Tokens" cannot be used as Tribute. You may destroy a "Blob Token" to summon a monster in its place.

 

Blob Tackle

Continuous Trap

During the Battle Phase, you can destroy any number of “Blob Tokens” you control. Decrease the ATK or DEF of 1 monster on the field by 300 for each “Blob Token” destroyed by this effect.
